- The differences between this and the album version are the drums sound cleaner, the vocals are pumped up, the guitars are clearer, and the intro is different and shorter. All rights reserved to RCA
"Everything You Want" is a song by American alternative rock band Vertical Horizon and the eponymous second single from their third studio album Everything You Want. Released on April 4, 2000. The single reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 after a 26-week climb on July 15 of that year. "Everything You Want" is Vertical Horizon's most successful single.
This is the version that played all the time in 2000. It's much more textured and layered than the watered down album version. I guess it depends on which one you heard first, but I was in college when I first heard this on the radio and it will always be my favorite.
I Love both versions 👍🔥♥️🙏
He's everything you want
He's everything you need
He's everything inside of you
That you wish you could be
He says all the right things
At exactly the right time
But he means nothing to you
And you don't know why
It’s cool. Idk why but I remember the CD version more despite this one being the one on radio.
This version should have been the original song
This version is so difficult to find, and I love this version better than their album version, although both are very good. The only place I was able to find this version was on the compilation album Totally Hits 3.
If There's a Special Unoffical Fan-Made Version of This That's going to be Really Extremely Difficult to Find Believe me I Know!
So happy someone uploaded this. So good.
This version I never heard on the radio. Great version, nonetheless! Amazing track! It definitely has a rhythm.
Song structure is so cool 😎.
This was the only version on the radio back when this was released in 2000, and so hard to find!
Both versions are good but to me this sounds better
Thank you very much, great version
singer has a nice voice
I seem to remember the radio version being a little faster, too.
its the Pop Mix not radio mix
I don't agree that this mix is an improvement over the album version. It seems overdone compared to the album version, and the intro is missing the signature riff.
I like the album version better, but this version is excellent!
