As a woman who is 50, I would say that some form of resistance training should be pursued when you get into your 30s, as your body will start to lose muscle then. I used to also never work out when I was younger (I didn’t “need” to), but noticed my body starting to look less “shapely/youthful” in my 30s. I now do weight training along with other activities regularly, and I’m sure I “need” to do so to maintain my physique.

I'm so glad to see someone is into stomach vacuums. It's been my frequently done exercise since my university days till date and I'm reaping the benefits. My waste line is always looking snatched, always. Stomach vacuum is highly underrated. Thank you so much Ally ❤, I'm definitely going to include the posture exercise to my minimalist exercise routine 😅

When I was younger, I used to suck my stomach again all the time. At first it was a struggle but after a while, I didn’t even realize I was doing it. That really helps your core. You don’t have to suck it in like the vacuum just suck it where it’s comfortable and just make sure you do it every day all day. I’m telling you this worked wonders for me and it’s so simple.

PRAISE THE LORD!! I also really needed this video... I used to exercise every day, have really great form, and felt immaculate! Though I was bedridden for over 3 months and lost my physique entirely. I was skin and bones 😭
I'm starting to get back in, but I've been prone to focusing on particular muscles rather than my health and looking healthy. Thank you for reminding me that I don't need to focus on getting my butt again or cinching my waist ❤ Love you!!

Please ignore that rude comment I saw. Jesus is the truth and the light, sometimes it’s too bright for those who live in the darkness. Keep shining and being healthy love, I’ve been watching you for years. All the work you put into your videos is noticed, keep in mind there are so many people who have been watching your content for years who don’t leave comments. 💜

you have an incredible voice as has been commented in previous videos. when you voice over, as opposed to speaking directly to camera, the cadence of your voice changes to be slower and more rhythmic which is what some may interpret as more genuine or engaging. in all likelihood, this bubbly, imperfect but equally as sincere direct to camera address is more you irl than the other. try not to listen to the naysayers

I will always be a fan of Alex's videos, message, and intention here on yt. That said, I'd like to mention that there is something that can happen if you tend to suck your stomach area in all the time, which is that it can create bad tension in areas of the pelvis that shouldn't be tight all the time. Pelvic floor issues can be common among women, and it's been a couple of different physical therapists who have talked about how holding tension knowingly or unknowingly in the abdominal regions can lead to undesirable longer term effects on the lower body overall. Alex never says to do this tightening exercise all the time, but it may be good to be sure to release and relax those areas following the exercise. And be aware of continually holding any unnecessary tension in the stomach region.

I love this video! I’m turning 38 this year and have had a lot of different fitness routines as well. I love exercising but I don’t like being forced to or being stressed about it. Unless you are using exercise as a tool to lose weight then it should be fun and flexible. When I feel energized I exercise. I have a TRX and PowerBlock dumbbells at home and I love them both. Sometimes I want to dance. I always learn something totally new from you and I just tried the stomach vacuum exercise and it’s harder than it looks 😂 I’ll keep working on it. Thanks and love you!

I was born with ehlers-danlos syndrome so there are lots of workouts that I'm not able to do even if I could benefit from them (my muscles, tendons and nerves gets inflammed extremely easily), even yoga is a big no no for me and I had to give up swimming because I developed a serious chlorine allergy...so I'm constantly trying to find simple and effective exercises to develop my muscle but that don't leave me super tired or with days worth of inflammations.

I do vacuums after my ab routines. Now that I’m in my early 40’s, it’s harder to slim down now vs when I was in my early 30’s. But I hate the gym. My brother and I were just talking about this yesterday how we hate the gym because people these days are ruining the experience with wanting to film everything and just their attitudes. It’s like the night club. If you don’t look a certain way, they look at you like why are you here. I wish I had the money to turn the garage into a personal gym.
