I haven't worked much on the deck, but it's still functional as it never needed Lacrima/Beatrice. But I think a Kashtira engine is better than the Unchained engine
@@hiporoxo Unchained engine. Only leave Sharvara in. If you only want 3 cards in and Sharvara is really good into the matchup, you can keep the Prisons
nice, I'm giving the budget version a try at my locals soon. Not entirely a fan of the muckrakcer lines but I do know some combos that can get the desired endboard without it. hopefully people do try this budget version of the deck out. with enough combo practicing it'll be a nice alternative to the entire fiendsmith package. and people really need to give the bigger unchained package a chance. I'm tempted to keep it in even when I get the fiendsmith stuff. also I would personally get rid of the Almiraj for Gryphon. good in specific matchups like tenpai
I'm also very biased to Loving defender and play that along with 1 mature chronicle and 1 super poly in the main. even if I don't search super poly and use mature as an extender the threat of searching super poly always makes my opponent try to get rid of it. which imo I think if you ever run super poly this is the right way to do it. you could run it in multiples since it becomes better against decks that run the Fiendsmith package since you can super poly their sequence and fusion or fiendsmith for arieal eater but might have to see how the format shakes out. I'm a fan of only 1 since we only need to resolve it once to win the game.
@@Gnurrgard I already have my Phantoms so I'm good, my question is if there's a version where you could play stuff like Mature Chronicle. I love the native cards in Yubel, and understand the more link spam focused style, but as someone who went to a Regional and had 2 Mirrors while playing Mature Chronicle, I can say without a shadow of a doubt, Mature Chronicle goes insane in the mirror
Mature is a good card, if you want a more engine heavy approach, it would fit right in. I play Eternal favorite in Master Duel bc it's good vs Maxx C I just feel like without a big non engine count you won't get far in current format
So the question I have is: Does this line beat out just running Yubel as though it were Post-LEDE + Phantom? Or a Yubel list that goes for Super Poly plays instead? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on how much this is an improvement (either potentially or matter-of-factly) vs what we had before INFO.
That's the big question, yeah. The tradeoff is obviously making your beckoning lines much better as well as letting you combo through handtraps on certain chokepoints. In post-LEDE you'd play handtraps or Piri Reis in that slot. The handtrap approach probably makes going 2nd better, but at the cost of consistency. If you believe rage escape is still a solid base board, then that version is probably better. But I'd need time to evaluate Note that once the new Multcharmy comes out, I'll go the eternal favorite route
@@Gnurrgard The 2nd Multcharmy is enough to consider Favourite again, huh? Is there something specific in that card which enables Favourite in a way that makes it a bigger candidate for inclusion than previously?
@Kutan you can already see the effect in MD: If you get Maxxed on a beckoning line, you can go Rage + Escape setup giving opp 3 draws (2 with Mult) For favorite, it's 2 draws for favorite + phantom. You can choose to play a slower game and these boards can be enough to not die
@@Gnurrgard Which field do you usually do with just the Samsara lotus? The complicated thing is that almiraj, whether you like it or not, is sometimes sorely missed when you receive impermanence or a veiling effect. (Thanks for responding and answering this one too)
