I have always played rogues. At first I didnt really enjoy the way the rogue felt in D&D but after watching your vids I got back to it and had a buddy join me as a rogue tt. IT WAS AMAZING we were absolutely WRECKING crews. We ran poison rupture stealth and ambush which the latter may not be the best option but who cares they died we didn't. The amount of laughter and sheer enjoyment was something I really needed very badly. Thanks man. Cant wait for the next play test. Your vids are great keep em comin when you can bro!

@@v.valente wizards have a light spell which removes rogues from hide. you can send it prefire in a room you want to engage and it will break rogue stealth
U can't run that spell unless you're on a 10 spell setup
@@horseliver338 only if you refuse to change one of your DMG spells
@@4nowknU if you run it in a 5 spell setup you will be missing out on some of the stronger spells.

It is an honor watching your rogue gameplay. The reason I love you the most is because you are literal proof that with good positioning, decision making and combat skill, you dont need 2 other teammates to destroy players in 1v3's. That puts you above rogues like yolorage, since he has a pocket healer to feed him kills.

For the arrow dodge by ducking you have to uncrouch in-between the two fast shots to make it work but your right sidestepping is much easier

Imagine collabing with two other RUclipsrs and forming "The Most Geared Group In Dark And Darker". It's insane how powerful one rogue can be with both the gear and optimal tactics. Imagine a full group of this caliber. Insane! I can't wait to see what subclassing and additional gameplay features will bring. The rogue gameplay has me hooked.
Edit: And you give me a lot of good inspiration and starts for my rogue gameplay. Keep up the good work! I can't wait for the next playtest. Do you think rogue needs a buff btw? Late-game rogue is ungodly but starter rogue is combat-wise very weak relative to other classes. If anything, I think there's a gear scaling issue for rogue.

With the skele archer double shot, if you're up close to them, you can quickly tap crouch right as they fire, and the second shot will still be head height, so you can crouch again. You do need pretty good timing but once you have it down you can dodge it with pretty high consistency

I think people assume stealthing near a light source puts them at a disadvantage since the game says you can't stealth while illuminated if you try it with a torch out

You can crouch the archer double shot by standing up and still holding the movement keys to circle them before recrouching but u need a min amount of move speed to do so

I preferred to play with stiletto dagger as my weapon, with gear not as good as yours, but still amazing i was hitting a dummy to the head with weakpoint+ambush+backstab for 220 and the next unbuffed attacks for 140
i love the stilleto, some of the videos i have coming up feature stilleto dagger carnage

Bro the rogue needs a dashing ability that allows them to kite better. Both fight and Bard have move speed abilities making it easy for them to W key towards you.
1:03 this zone spawn like dead end , you have super gear and fast speed

5:39 why are the blue boots good? The +4 health doesn't do much, right? Is it just the 10 MS roll? But these go up to 13 right MS I think ? The green +2 true damage seemed better to me?
For the next play test you should commentate over footage of fights not going your way. Could be a nice learning experience

if you had magical damage gear, you would be 1 shotting everyone with your rupture.
i was the bozo fighter with a crossbow. That gear is insane i was full hp and that 1 body shot at 3:26 put me to a quarter hp with poison or frost still hitting me
How many episodes do you think you will be able to make with the playtest ending? i really enjoy watching these runs with the insane weapons

if im not solo what should i swap to use lockpick expert? my friend and i like to play as a duo and have fun ive been running your setup (perks/skills) but lockpick instead of backstab.
could you make a video on how to engage and dodge enemy attacks? whenever i go in i always get hit by their attacks in the head and lose a lot of hp
thoughts on short weapons like stiletto and rosel dagger? would actually be BiS a longer weapon like rapier or the one you using to be able to attack while jumping i assume

I'm having a ton of success solo rogue in both the normal and goblin dungeon! :D Only going in with base kit most of the time and still being able to kill many players, def helps to find at least a white or green dagger in the run tho.
Played for like 30ish hours and never realized there was multiple maps lmaooo I knew the map seemed different and I just assumed it was massive
is bonus magic damage on items not worth it for rogues poison? or does it not work like that?
I can't believe I never thought of bringing an empty coin purse into the match to save space when looting coins!

Hey with the full sneak build why do you take rupture instead of weakpoint attack, with that much str and +weapon damage you could nearly one shot even high-gear fighters.

Where would you say rogue ranks in terms of pvp in terms of a tier list? (especially compared to ranger or barbarian)
They need to make it so duel wield actually does something instead of a stat stick and you still spam your main hand attacks.. the combo attacks need to be faster or more damage or something to make it worth it more than just a stat stick!!
Hey I can't seem to find a good explanation for poisoned daggers on rogue, mind sharing your reasoning? no better options? especially at this level the glowing blades would only seem like a hindrance.
Will there be only one unique weapon of each kind in the game?I hope not only one player can have such special weapons.
