Someone needs to step up with a home sitter service 24/7 coverage and have it paid via escrow. I see a business for security folks too out of this, and this is not a trend.
They actually did something or were allowed to do something?! Sad how people cannot understand the difference. Many law enforcement officers have learned that following the rules or law could actually cause them to either be fired, labeled or arrested themselves. Imagine risking your life to uphold the law or even protect citizens from criminals and the DA drops or lowers the charges. Seems like that is an ongoing thing in America. It seems as though protecting criminals at all costs is the new American motto.

Agreed, but sometimes it isn't practical. What I do is get friendly with the next door neighbors, give them my info, and let them know no one is supposed to be there outside of a showing.
It’s funny how Florida just signed an anti squatters legislation and Texas is currently revising squatters rights. This is a problem that’s been ignored too long.
Not this exact cause but a causing factor If it didn’t take 40 days and 40 nights to get a permit approved for building, maybe we could finally have more homes in an affordable range and therefore less squatters. Why does it take so long to get buildings approved? Why does it take so long to get approval to fix your own roof? So many vacant houses falling apart because a permit wasn’t approved and now that’s one less house sitting empty.

Hopefully once “followers” and “frightened” politicians start to realize lawlessness will soon be affecting them hopefully they will push for laws that can actually protect their constituents. Most law abiding citizens are tired of the foolishness being ignored and excused. Many are done with voting blue as we have finally gone from woke to awakened.

We need new laws! Get with it and help people who work hard and pay ridiculous taxes for a change. There must be a better way to find a compromise.

The squatters are mostly druggies or others that wouldn’t qualify for housing
