If he *needed* that long to charge up his powers, a batarang thrown right at his face would have hit him before he could "Wonder Twin Powers, Activate!" or "SHAZAM!" or "3X2(9YZ)4A" or whatever else he needed to do first.

What I like is that once Barry realizes who Bruce is, he looks at the spinning weapon, considering his next move. Does he grab it and reveal his powers? Or does he continue to deflect? Then he grabs it.
That's honestly almost scarier than Flash's physical speed. He can ramp up his perception and mental processing so quickly that he essentially pause the game *of life* and think about his next move at his leisure. Like the scene in Megamind where Metro Man steps out in the middle of Megamind ranting about the death ray he's about to fire, contemplates the direction of his life, goes to the library and reads every book on philosophy, life coaching, motivation, and self-help they have, decides to fake his own death, and comes back in so little time that Megamind has *no idea* Metro Man had moved at all. Only Flash is arguably *faster than that.*

Affleck's reactions really sell the scene for me. As moody and cynical as this version of Batman is, he's still touched that Barry is willing to help when (so far) no one else has said yes. It's the first glimmer of hope he's had for the whole movie.

Not true. I'll give credit that Barry Allen wasn't as annoying in the Snyder Cut as he was in the theatrical cut, but I still can't say that Snyder did Barry Allen/The Flash justice. He still has more of a resemblance to Wally West then he does Barry Allen, he still looks nothing like the comic version of Barry Allen, and he still isn't really that compelling as a character even if not comparing him to other versions. And even after watching ZSJL I still have no idea why Snyder thought that Miller was a good choice for this role.
2:01 is when Snyder ends and Whedon begins. You can tell by the change in their hairstyles, weight gain and the reshoots done in front of a green screen instead of a physical set.

What I like is that once Barry realizes who Bruce is, he looks at the spinning weapon, considering his next move. Does he grab it and reveal his powers? Or does he continue to deflect? Then he grabs it.
That's honestly almost scarier than Flash's physical speed. He can ramp up his perception and mental processing so quickly that he essentially pause the game *of life* and think about his next move at his leisure. Like the scene in Megamind where Metro Man steps out in the middle of Megamind ranting about the death ray he's about to fire, contemplates the direction of his life, goes to the library and reads every book on philosophy, life coaching, motivation, and self-help they have, decides to fake his own death, and comes back in so little time that Megamind has *no idea* Metro Man had moved at all. Only Flash is arguably *faster than that.*

Affleck's reactions really sell the scene for me. As moody and cynical as this version of Batman is, he's still touched that Barry is willing to help when (so far) no one else has said yes. It's the first glimmer of hope he's had for the whole movie.

Not true. I'll give credit that Barry Allen wasn't as annoying in the Snyder Cut as he was in the theatrical cut, but I still can't say that Snyder did Barry Allen/The Flash justice. He still has more of a resemblance to Wally West then he does Barry Allen, he still looks nothing like the comic version of Barry Allen, and he still isn't really that compelling as a character even if not comparing him to other versions. And even after watching ZSJL I still have no idea why Snyder thought that Miller was a good choice for this role.
