Guardsmen on duty routinely march up and down their post for 15 paces every 10 minutes or so. This is their way of patrolling their post. They also do that sometimes when tourists are getting too close to them or bothering them.
On the contrary there are plenty of videos (if you bother to look for them) of tourists getting shouted at by American soldiers on guard duty. Not really sure what your point was to be honest...
They do it on purpose to ruin photos sometimes when theyr sick of tourists that day, they will wait for u to pose then just march lol. But yeh as u say in the description they also do it every 10 mins roughly or if they are getting cramp or uncomfortable. just some info u probably already knew
They really need a summer uniform. If this dress was for women being forced to dress like this in the heat of the summer there would be so much protest. The UK climate has changed and it’s vital that as a humane employer this uniform is kept to the winter Or it’s fitted with ice packs / a cooling system
I would be the type to walk up to one (not too close) and just ask/inform the guardsman that I'm only going to take a picture that I'm not going to bother/hurt him
@@psirvent8 you did not understand what I tried to explain, no matter if it's Royal's, presidential's, just a military place, you should never, ever brother them.

@ Mick Carson Yeah obviously their rifles are fake, the bayonet is made out of silver-painted plastic and these guards aren't even humans but robots or moving statues. Everyone knows that 😂😂

They are to close the whole time. I don't understand that is is even allowed. This is a clown job.
He needs to stand up straight and the way he swings hes arms are sloppy
I think some people say that they can do how many they want just do it every 15
How long can he do this and also is there a specific name for this because I call this a walk and turn
@@patriot4786 he was doing it properly don't be rude
I don't know what kind of their shoes. The sounds of shoes's clap was so amazing 😁
Ammo boots. They have metal studs on them
My steel toes make same sound on pavement because the bottom is steel as well in case I step on something sharp.
Parade boots with hobnails.
Yea
I bet nobody would treat a USA soldier the way people treat these guards. So disrespectful toward these soldiers...

lol
Well they are guarding pretty shitty people.

Good they on duty doing their work they are not TOY SOLDIERS.
They should have a yellow line that indicates no one is to cross it even for photos anyone could still get a photo behind the line
Like at Windsor Castle where they have a rail and an official gentleman who moves people on if they outstay their welcome

This is the summer uniform, the winter one is a long grey coat and more layers usually to keep warm. Red are for summer
Watching him like its a show or something, leave the guards alone! 😡
Outstanding Guardsman 💂♂️
Acho muito fofinho tudo isso.
Mas não sei como eles conseguem segurar esse chapéu na cabeça.
Ignorant tourists
This is when the guard on stag (ON sentry duty) Patrols, they do it when they feel like it, within reason.
Are they still going to be out there on duty even when there will be like a hurricane roaming around england
@@ItsjustJust516 Hurricanes, aka Tropical cyclones, only between the two tropics (around the equator)
The UK is not affected by hurricanes.

That's what is needed in USA, discipline.
@@mizzyroro US marines are literally on the same level as the average British infantier, of which these guards are. They’re on the same level

Yes, a pity
How do they see with that hat covering their eyes completely?
The hat is very heavy. The inside is filled with protective reinforcements. The hat is worn that way to keep the guards chin up.
оо рашен, приятно

Very cool!!!

Real. And if you must know any of those guards are trained to kill with bare hands if need be. Never mess with a guard! My brother was one and I know.
I often wonder how someone could paste a KICK ME advice on his back when he turns around lol
