Great song from her hayday. You can hear the power in her voice, and that is the edge I think she's lost in her age - though she's gained a lot of emotional delivery. This song is a trip for me, a nostalgia trip, this was all over Dutch radio in my youth and just a plain good song IMO.
Taking a trip on nostalgia lane for me right there, i love Anita and i love this song, certainly a big part of my teens :) The clip from Top Pop was great, indeed VERY 80's hehehe Her voice now, compared to then, it has changed a little, but like you said, she is still capable of pulling of high notes and knows her voice and limitations very well. It dates from 1969. the group was led by Hans Vermeulen, who was also the great man behind Anita Meijer, including through the Rainbow Train group, with which Anita and others also achieved great successes in Nederlannde and, as far as I know, in Germany and England. Great artists from around the world came to the Dutch music show Toppop to show their music. Most of the performances weren’t live, they lipsynced most of the times. But back in those days I didn’t care about that. I loved their performances and their music. The Netherlands played an important role in The European music business. Thanks to my country artists like Donna Summer, Gloria Estefan & The Miami Sound Machine and I think Whitney Houston got an important boost in their musical career. You may like those videos.
Best song of Anita is “They dont play our love song anymore”. There she Could realy show her voice. Not many Can cops that. The only One who did was Glennis grace. Look for her also with that Same song.

No biggie...I can skip the vids that don't interest me, right? This looks like the tail end of the 70's (MAYBE early 80's), it still has a bit of disco sound to it. Please balance your genres out with a bit more of the others (rock, electronic, blues, reggae, country, etc.). Cheers!
