- Jamaican athlete Junelle Bromfield has declared that during and after the recently concluded Paris Olympic Games she had been the recipient of numerous threats from Jamaican fans on social media, including threats to her life. This as a result of her relationship with American sprinter and World and Olympic Champion Noah Lyles, and for information she allegedly shared with him in conversation, pertaining to members of the Jamaican track team.

Why Jamaican find joy in downgrading their country. It’s seems like they relish everything negative about their homeland. Junelle made he choice and that’s ok. It’s called freedom of choice. The question is: Why we Jamaican like to wash their dirty laundry in the public domain. I have seen numerous athletes who have problems with their homeland. Some even migrate to other countries but they kept it professional and move on. 🇯🇲💯

Listening to what you are saying about the female athlete Jamell is being threatened by Jamaican, and you are behaving so erratic like only in Jamaica. That people is threatened each other, it is happening on a daily basis in the United States. I know Jamaican athletes who took money and ran against Jamaica, in the United States. When they were warned not to do so and, they refused and ran for the United States. They were banned for two years before, they could run for Jamaica again. If that blogger take a look at the stats of the Jamaican athletes them over the years, that the athletes them who remained in Jamaica does better, than the athletes them who based in the United States. There is a lot of factors with some of those Jamaican athletes them, when you looked at Bolt, Shelley Ann Fraser Price, Asafa Powell, Elaine Thompson Heray, just to mentioned a few athletes who remained in Jamaica and trained. They have done better than the Jamaican athletes who lived and trained in the United States, so I don't really see all these excitement about. When a person saying that they are afraid of going to Jamaica, they does not want to go home. Because when you are living in the United States, you go on the streets you are not certain going back home a live. Because there are millions of people on the streets armed with loaded guns, also having mental health problems. That blogger does not lived in the United States any portion of times and, haveto deal with the public on a regular basis. If he looked at the stats of just the guns crimes alone in the United States per year, Jamaica is nowhere compared to it with 49,000 killed by guns in the United States and another 100, 000 got shot and still alive. So when this little guy is talking about 1,500 people died in Jamaica and he is making a big alarm about it and. He is not talking about 49,000 got killed in the United States per year, that is only by guns different from the other murders. Some people who is saying that they are afraid to go to Jamaica, those are the people who doesn't have any form of paperwork, that if they left. They are unable to enter back to the United States, or they does not have anywhere to stay, also having a green card. If he left he or she cannot enter, because they are a charged with certain crimes. So once they left they cannot enter back to the United States, because although the United States is trying to black mail Jamaica. Million of tourists is still going to Jamaica and, the United States have the most crimes in the world. They are talking about Jamaica and other Caribbean islands, and they have more crimes than anywhere in the world. You are not safe in the churches, malls, schools, house, restaurants, on the streets with road rage everyday shooting. So what this blogger is saying it is not true at all, I know that they have a lot of cyber bullies out there they does not like to hear the gospel truth. Track and field just became professional a few years ago, during my days running it was all amateur. I know the days when the Jamaican athletes was treated very badly, during their scholarships. When school got holidays the athletes them have nowhere to go, and they was over worked during college or university running for the various schools. So they burnt out when they are running for Jamaica during the Olympics games, and other sports ok.

It is a shameful and unfortunate mess. I can not say that I blame Junnelle for taking the stand she took. Her safety is first. While most people in Jamaica would not hurt her, there are also some crazy fools in Jamaica too. All the vitriol that Jamaica people spewed out about her these past months were horrible. The girl did nothing wrong. Noah did not say what she told him or even if she was the one who told him anything about the Jamaican track team. People only assume that it's her. I think she is better off not going to Jamaica right now. Maybe as time goes by and some of the venom is allowed to cool down, she could go. I wish her all the best. Good podcast.

I don’t agree with you about she not telling Noah anything. He did say that he knew many things about certain athletes and generally what was going on in JA athletics because she told him. Please do your research. With that said though there’s no justification for any violent act to be done to her. Shame at anyone who have threatened her directly. Also her boyfriend should be ashamed too for running his mouth. Especially about things they talk about.

I was watching the Olympics games in France and the, Jamaican coaches who was uncharted of the athletes. They makes a lot of blunders, I happened to say something which I observed and. Some of those little young coaches took me on, because they run for Jamaica. You cannot tell them anything like us only since they were born, track and field just came in. That is the way some of them is behaving so erratic and, does not want to listen to the elders. Let me make it abundantly clear, that during my days running in sports. It is was all amateur just for the fun of the games, so when you graduated from school. You haveto go and try to find a job, because there is nothing in track and field to achieve. I don't try to discuss track and field with the younger generation, because they think they know everything. During my days running a lot of the top countries in the world taking drugs to run fast, and other sports . When you looked at Donald Qurrie and Merlene otty, they are the two longest athletes who ran for Jamaica for years and they makes no money at all.
