Thanks for revisiting the World Famous Horseshoe Curve with me. How close were you with you guess?
I am going to guess we will see ...2-5 ..trains
5/10metres JP
I didn't bother guessing, I figured maybe four, the track out back of my house has one train per day both ways (East/West to West/East)
Tks J P
I was like 1 off lol !
What a beautiful place next to the forest . Thanks for taking us with you
I always find Horseshoe Curve fun!! Thanks for taking along!!! 💖🛤️💙💖🛤️💙💖🛤️💙
🚂💙
Nice to be back there; beautiful; enjoyed it so much. Thank you for taking us! …..🌝
Always an enjoyable time visiting the curve.
That place is so beautiful I love the. Trains thanks for taking us
along
Do you know that during world war 2 around 250 trains went around the curve,,,,,,early diesels,,,K4s,,,,J1s,,,,Q2s,,,T1s,,,,all kinds of pennsy steam engines,,,,awesome,,,,great video
I am thinking 4 trains. Back to the video! Oh my goodness, I can't believe I guessed right! That is such a gorgeous place, the landscape and scenery is amazing! I would have had to take a couple breaks walking those steps. lol I can't get over how long some of the trains were! Beautiful photos and a really great video JP! Thank you! 🚂🚃🛤
Great guess! 😁
It’s always pleasing to see everything there, again and again!
Looks like a awesome trip man,Thank you for sharing your day .
I live near a CSX line in NY, I know that approaching rumble well!
Unmistakable
Wow! Gorgeous view from up there! Glad you're much healthier this year, climbing all those stairs in one shot. My guess was 6, so a little off, but so fun to watch this video! Great job! & I loved the photo montage that really captured the gorgeous views & up-close train pics. Thanks for bringing us along!
Beautiful area. Very nice video. I'd like to try those steps sometime. Thanks for sharing your enjoyable journey. Glad you're feeling better. Happy trails.
Yes I enjoyed watching thanks for your hard work
Awesome location and video JP! The Happy Honker even came through! That culvert sure is interesting! My guess would be 4! Thanks for bringing us along!
Awesome video JP, you do a great job filming! Glad I went along with you, I had guessed 4 at the start of the video. Beautiful area and trains! 👍❤️🥰
Thanks so much
Jay,
The only time I was there was 1959.
I took the P.R.R. from Philly to Chicago in September for the 4-H Convention at the Conrad Hilton Hotel.
I had one of those compartments with everything built into the sides.
I'll never forget watching from the train and seeing the other part curving around .
I even had a deck of P.R.R. playing cards.
MY Dinner was a Ham Steak!
In case your wondering, how the heck does he remember that, it's the way my mind works:)
Cheers,
Rik Spector
I also remember more from 10-20yrs ago then I do from last month lol
@@JPVideos81 yeah, kinda weird , eh? At least I still remember my name….??? Ahhhhh what is it!
Love to see the concreat culvert under horse shoe curve in a video also great video
Enjoyed the video ...beautiful scenery and love the train action ..!.Thank you for climbing the steps for us .( I couldn't have made it LOL) Fun seeing the little boys chasing the locomotive .. They will remember this bautiiful experience .. Loved the photo motage ..awesome shots !👍💙
It was fun seeing them running with excitement. The engineers seemed to enjoy their excitement as well.
Awesome place to visit Conrail never gone away great video thanks JP
That is such a cool place 😊. Love how the stills made the trains look like they were head on. ✌
Awesome trip, JP! Thanks for taking us all along with you 😊
😅 you're more than welcome to make that climb. I could have done it with pleasure 20 years ago but not now 😊 More power to you, JP 😊
The busiest track in the NS System. Originally PRR Mainline. Great video. The sulfur creek is acid mine drainage from old coal strip mining above the tracks - Kittanning Run. The other stream is Glen White Run. It is also polluted from strip mining of coal. If you go on the road under the curve, it will take you to the Gallitzin Tunnels at the crest of the mountain.
I've made a few videos from Gallitzin tunnels. That's a nice spot as well.
I had guessed 3 trains, so pretty close. You did good catching 4 within an hour! The GP9 looks so much better than it did when we visited 2 years ago. I really want to go back to spend a full day there, but am still waiting for the funicular to be fixed since those stairs are really difficult for me. Crazy that it's still out of service after all this time! Thanks for sharing your latest visit with us.
At this point I'm thinking it's never gonna operate again 😒
@@JPVideos81 I'm starting to have the same concern ...
No guesses but thanks for taking us along, great video and I didn't have to climb those steps👍👍
Good cardio on those steps
@@JPVideos81 No doubt about that👍
Its a real con that rail...the carriages are red and not the famous conrail blue 😂. Awesome video JP ❤. The view of the reservoir and watching the trains was well worth the walk up the steps, even if us viewers were puffed by the time we caught up to you at the top LOL.
Its amazing how differently the train drivers signal before reaching a crossing in the US compared to how they signal in Australia. Here its a long continuous toot of the horn and then a short one just before the crossing. It doesnt matter how many times we are standing next to a railway line, waiting to capture video, that long sharp and loud signal makes us jump and almost loose our phone each and every time 😂.
Watching your rail videos has inspired us to capture trains going through on video aswell. Unfortunately, the availability of timetables for the freight (goods) trains and coal trains, especially on lesser known rail lines down here, is almost impossible today compared to what we found when looking three yeara ago. Its such a shame.
looks like a well-kept place, beautiful scenery. enjoyed the video for sure.
If only they'd get the funicular up and running.
Love all your videos j.p keep up the awesome work
I love trains because they are all unique, beautiful & have a lot of history to them. If trains could talk, I bet they would have some great stories. ❤
🛤🚂🚃🚃
I thought the title seemed familiar. I think it's still a neat Video. Knowing you some where some how you will make it come alive. Thank You JP.
*paused*
🤔🧐 I'm guessing six trains! 🚂🚅 😝
I always enjoy seeing the trains coming through Horseshoe curve.
It's a sight I never tire of seeing
i remember your first vid here when you made the comments about the steps. good to hear its easier for you now.
Carrying 60-70 less pounds makes a big difference
@JPVideos81 wow dude that's alot!!! get busy living or get busy dying! I got a great summer lined up I hope yours is half as good as mine !
Nice video of the day keep up with the good work but u know there is virtual railfan camera right behind you on the pole horseshoes curve Pennsylvania
Definitely not the same as being there in person
@@JPVideos81 I feel you I would doing the same thing as well
Very cool! I wander why the horseshoe curve was built? Did they have to go around something?
There's some significant history tied to it. When you get some time, do a Google search.
love your vids man rock on keep up the good work
Thank you
Love and enjoyed your train video🚂😊💖
Thanks Jay, definitely a beautiful place, so many tons of cargo in a 24 hour day. Central California watching
Indeed
Hi JP
lots of beauty where you live and cool Trains! Thumbs up! Trish
Liking your videos & the music choices. You tips & information about the steps.
You mentioned that you lost weight & how much easier it was to go those steps.
Please continue with ever detail that comes to mind. Your camera is so clear, what camera do you use? My husband & I watch the videos together.
My only suggestion is to wear a hat & a light colored shirt.
Thanks
We guessed 5 trains
It was a cooler day so the black shirt kept me warm. I also filmed with 2 different cameras in 4K. Thanks for watching.
The yellowish, orange water looks like the water was on fire...I thought 4 but didn't put it down...🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃💙💙💙💙
Amazing film almost 200K subscribers wow.
This is so cool. ❤
😊😊 I'm gonna jump in with both feet and guess four trains 😊
Awesome trip, JP! thanks for sharing this video for us Awesome one :D do you meet with Wallieb26 he was there too in his video too.
I met him several years ago
Great video
Amazing shots as usual❤
Thank you
i remember when u were tr last 2ys bk
I'm guessing about 10 trains give or take, too bad they do not have the three tracks they originally had
I wish it was 10
5 trains will pass by you 😊
I guess 5 trains
yeh i remember 2freights pass
Do a walk threw video of the water way tunnel if you could...
Acidic water, not very safe
America has a lot of world famous things that the rest of the world doesn't know about 🤣
6-8!! is my guess
We think 4 trains!
Was that one of those 2 mile trains they want to ban?
That water is mine drainage lol
Nah, it's orange Gatorade
@@JPVideos81 lol
@@JPVideos81 😄 Orange Gatorade
I was in the bathroom when i was there and the Pennsylvania heritage unit was leading and i sprinted up those stairs i was exausted lol
Haha
4 trains?
5 trains
There's traintracks near where i live and i can distinguish amtrak from the others. lol
Distinct sounds for certain
4 trains
I said four 😊
They pay me enough to just ride with the conductor let alone be the conductor going around the horseshoe. I bet you dream of being the conductorJ. Right?
I prefer engineer 😁
Super quality video 🤩
💙
dude did you get a jeep?
In an hour, I'd guess 4 trains.
5
I'm going to guess 5
7
I live at the bottom of there...Never go there
That's just a drop in the bucket of the commerce and shipping going on.But were supposed to transition to electric?Imagine the fuel bills these trains have that are foreign dependent now.Not helping us here.😢
id say 7 trains
So what is their horn language, why they do what they do with their horn. I used to transport railroad crews throughout parts of Iowa
Just friendly horn salutes for the people.
They actually use their horn three times near intersection each time it's longer, this is to indicate they are close to the intersection.
@@richardsterba2965 I was referring to the horn salutes in this video as they passed the curve. There's no intersections here obviously, so that's what I thought you were referring to.
@@JPVideos81 cool you do a good job on everything you've been doing keep up the good work.
I. DONT UNDERSTAND. ITS. JUST. FREEKING. TRAIN. BRO.
yes....and yes I cheated...lol
😁
