In two minutes you explained everything perfectly. Thank you! I watched Fender's video for 5 min and understood nothing
No waffle on this channel 🤣
I think the rhythm circuit controls are placed above the neck pickup so they are easier to adjust while strumming. Then the lead controls are easier to reach from where most people put their hand while playing lead. It’s a clever setup.
just bought one, played it at practice tonight with my shoegaze band and loved it. great explanation
Ah awesome 👌
Love the colour
Surf green makes the world a better place 🌍👌🎸
Just bought this and this is exactly what I needed
Awesome glad it helps 👌🎸
As a new-ish Jag owner trying to figure out the controls by intuition watching your video is a far more sensible proposition. Cheers for the great explanation Rob and a happy new year to you dude.
Man that color is so beautiful! such a vintage vibe I love it.
Ooh yeah it looks the part 🤘🎸💯
What a difference in the look man it sounds great love it Great review!!
She's a beaut, thanks man 🎸💪
@@theguitarmanifesto love it to death!!
just got a 70s classic vibe jag in surf green like yours, amazing amazing guitar i love it so much, thanks for the guide
Best explanation on RUclips!
The other day in Guitar Center I couldn’t figure out the Jag or the Jazz. I asked the workers.. they couldn’t either! About 30 minutes later one of the workers had printed out the control manual for the Jazzmaster. But by then I had a Strat in my hands and the simplicity felt damn good.
🤣🤣 once you figure them out it's pretty straight forward
So far out of all the jaguars I seen from you I like this one the best!! Lol
Proper colour combo 🎸💪
You just had to make this as soon as I figured it out on my own... screw you Rob. Jokes aside, good job explaining it to those who didn't know. A part of me wishes you'd made this video a couple weeks ago 😂
😂😂 to be fair every jaguar review video I ever made I do explain the switching 👌🎸 awesome guitars enjoy
I'm attention deficit so I'm attracted to shiny things 😂
It took my friend asking me for me to finally figure it out
That's a very fair point 😂
Thank you for explaining the controls and demo
Hope the video helped you out 👌🎸
Omg i need at least one of these!
Definitely 💯🎸
Sounds great 👍 my favorite guitar so far
They are very cool guitars 🎸👌
As always great to watch bro . Peace brother . Ste@SMS🎸👍🎸🎸👍🎸🎸
Glad you liked it 🎸🤘
Great video mate. Thanks for the info.
Glad it helped 🎸👌
Cool man! Thanks!
Any time
Can you please do a comparison video between all the Jaguars you have (Fenders, Squier CV & VM etc.) ????
I don't have any 😂
Have the same guitar, but white and also use the rhythm circuit as a kill switch lol. What gauge strings do you use? I had to go heavy handed (11s) because if I strum too hard they jump out of the bridge especially the top E.
They're awesome guitars for sure.
10s usually check my previous video on the jaguar I focus in on that problematic bridge
@@theguitarmanifesto thanks, will do
Thanks again!
No worries bro 👌🎸
Personally there are just four electric guitar shapes that draw my attention, though a couple of them are really close to one another. The SG shape, the Jaguar shape, the Jazzmaster shape and the Mustang shape, as the LP and Strat shapes feel over done for me. Its a personal preference in shape for me, and is based solely on my own personal tastes. The Control setup on a Jaguar or a Jazzmaster seems to be more complex than most, Though they are likely pretty close to one another in complexity.
Anyhow, I hope all is well and stay safe out there, this virus isn't done yet. Keep up the good videos man, and ill keep watching.
Well they are popular guitars I guess.
The controls may appear complected but sure are fun to play with.
We're staying safe in lockdown, wish you good health 😷
I’ve always been a fan of the offset guitars rather than the telecaster and strats. . I really like the shapes as it just feels good in my lap or standing, the short scales for me are easier to play since I have small stubby fingers.
@@TTobyyyy
I thought about how I worded this and I could have just said that I like offset and SG body shapes myself, instead of listing three offset guitars and the SG shape lol.
Great video for offsetbeginners
Oh yes 🎸👌
Do the same video with the mustang switches :)
Oh it's coming very soon 👌
"personally I don't use the rhythm circuit". Me either lol. I can't find a use for it beyond what's available with the lead circuit.
Nice Jag Rob 👌As I mentioned before, I have never owned an Offset so my $64,000 question : How well do the trems return to pitch , say compared to a Strat trem or a Bigsby?
The best IMO 👌🎸
@@theguitarmanifesto I need to try one when we're allowed out again , cheers 😉👍
Oh yes you do they're awesome guitars 🎸👌
Anyone know what the switch i the trem is for?
Is it normal for the lead circuit to be really quiet while the rhythm circuit is really loud or is my jaguar broken?
Hey Rob, where did you get that pickguard? I like the color & was thinking about swapping mine out but there are so many different red tortoise pickguards. I actually like that 1.
Sorry that's an old one out my stash can't remember where I got it from, check out Vanson Pickguards they're always decent and a good fit too 🎸🤘
@@theguitarmanifesto Cool, I'll do that. Aren't they from the U.K. ?
@@Rjhorning ah maybe .... You in the US?
@@theguitarmanifesto Yeah, I am. Finding a red tortoise pickguard that actually resembles the old Fender 1's is actually kinda hard. Right now, I've got 1 from WD music on my Jaguar. But it's a little too red, if ya know what I mean. I want 1 that has a little more maroon in it. I know, I'm just being picky lol.
I know what you mean, I'll keep an eye out for a 👌decent one
what is the brand of pick guard ??
I don't know dude I've had it for a long time, check out Vanson pickguards
Next video should be of switching original fender jaguar pickups in squire jaguar 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
Send me a set and I'll gladly do it 🎸👌
yum
F it imma buy one
So cool
I just did it’s pretty amazing I got a mustang and strat and been playing this more
People I’ve played with always tell me, no matter what you write it always comes out sounding like Spaghetti Western music, so I figure this is the guitar to get.
Heck yeah go for your default sound 💯🎸👌🤘
I guess this vidoe was aimed at me !
You were definitely the most recent person to comment on the controls 😂 hope it helps 🎸👌
@@theguitarmanifesto I got a late 70s Schecter stratocaster that has tapped single coil pickups and 3 on off on mini switches that is used instead of the 5 way switch that gives you like 27 different combinations of normal and hot positions. Maybe one day i should delve into the Jaguar world. The Squier sure looks good and the red one you demoed some time back !
Wow that's an impressive Strat sure could have some fun with that, I do like switching sounds on a guitar more fun than pedals 🎸🤘
@@theguitarmanifesto Got it few years ago now from a shop in Japan. They didnt know what they were selling ! Got it for a third of the usual expensive price !
You should look up those 70s early 80s japanese les paul type guitars that had the built in effects. There were a few different brands that sold them.
Ah nice 👌 yeah Ive had a few in the past when you could pick them up for pennies. Unfortunately the hipsters are paying way too much for them now
is it just me or does the strangle switch not make a difference?
Just you
@@theguitarmanifesto damn i gotta get my ears checked
why is nobody ever showing how main pots work ?
I explained in this video
