I feel you on live shows. I always have huge respect and appreciation for a band who has intense energetic music and puts on a performance to match, and Shadow of Intent in most cases does this from what I've seen. At the same time, I'm very forgiving and very patient when it comes to live performances from Metal bands, even those that seem a bit underperformed or boring. I've been to a couple shows where I was tired after the show, and that's just a single show, and as a spectator. I can't imagine how exhausting it can be to be one of the ones putting on the performance and playing or vocalizing the music, day in and day out for weeks on end, while traveling around the country, especially depending on the weather and climate of the area, the health of the bandmates, the conditions on the road, all that jazz. Even some of my favorite bands, including bands that are known for crazy live performances, have days where they're performing tired, sick, injured, or some combination thereof, and sometimes they also are performing for a crowd who doesn't appreciate them or give any energy back, and sometimes they only have enough energy to play while moving around stage and nothing more, and I totally get it. This is all just stuff I think more people need to understand and consider when it comes to bands performing live. Now, if a band performs poorly or with low energy consistently or frequently, that's a different matter, that's when you know the band just really isn't great to see on tour.
Oh I totally get that and am empathetic to the burnout. It didn't detract too much from my enjoyment, i was just happy to be there and see the band live
Pre breakdown, breakdown, post breakdown, post post breakdown
Yes, we've had 4th breakdown, but what about 6th breakdown?
So glad they're back. Can't wait to hear more of this new material, this is an incredible comeback.
That drummer is an absolute ANIMAL wtf
Bryce Butler is a literal machine
Video from multiple of their European shows this past summer!
