- There are many low-priced guitar brands on Amazon. Of these, Vangoa is one that stands out to me because of their nice-looking finishes, extensive acoustic selection and good page layouts. You may have seen other RUclips reviews of Vangoa's electric strat-style guitar, but mine is different as it is highly opinion-based. We'll be diving in to this guitar to answer the questions 1) IS it a good beginner instrument? And 2) can it be something more; can it work as a low-cost modding platform? Great vid, Brother! I'm already subbed, and I dig your content. As per usual, this is a fun vid, and now I am wanting to take a harder look at this guitar. I actually bought my Daughter a Vangoa Acoustic Electric for Christmas. She wanted a (matte) black A/E and I had a hard time finding one. But took a chance, on the Amazon offering. And boom! It turned out to be pretty darn good. We love the guitar! This Strat looks like a winner to me too! Really nice looking guitar. I get "Donner" vibes from it. I have 2 of their Strats, and a Donner Tele as well. And they are fantastic - for the price point. And solid in general. Might have to check one of these out too. I love budget guitars, and they often end up as cool projects and mod platforms. Anyway - great vid! EDIT: LOL Watching to the end, and I see that there are significant issues. Maybe the Donners are the better option. Yeah. I want the Slick 55 you reviewed too. Lots of other options - like you said.
Hey Jimmy, thanks so much for all your kind words! Yeah, some of Vangoa’s guitars and basses resemble the Donner ones quite a bit. I myself have recommended the Vangoa acoustics to beginners, so I’m glad your daughter is having a great experience. I’m with you - cheap guitars can be awesome. I once had an amazing SX strat that I regret giving up. I also love Slick Guitars, CNZ Audio Guitars , and some of the Donners look really good too! Some of the Slick’s and CNZ’s blow me away at the price point.
@@RumblinMan I need to check out CNZ. Have not heard of that one. Hmmm..... Interesting! And yeah - I want that Slick 55. Loved watching you wail on that bad boy.
In my opinion this is a good guitar. However, it needs some Gatekeeper thing not included in the package, ha, ha, ha. Good review as usual.

@@RumblinMan OK, I mean a good test bench guitar for customization and modifications. That's why I've written "Gatekeeper thing..."
@@robertodiazsanchez4177 but, if you pay attention to the video, you’ll see that I said that this guitar as absolutely not good for modifications.
@@RumblinMan Ha, ha, ha, you're right, I paid no attention. A better option is to check out another guitar with quality parts and components.
