Einfach wunderbar!
Very enjoyable performance😊 Thank you, such lovely themes & some photos to go with them! My parrot also enjoys Dvorak, no kidding as he knows the ‘cello concerto well & has favourite composers like Mozart & Debussy😊That was a brilliant fast last mvt- WHOA! Impressive! ❤d all the musicians.
@@jansnauwaert1785 He has a penchant for french composers like Debussy, Ravel ,& Mozart & Dvorak besides singing nursery rhymes & wolf-whistling! He doesn’t really talk but has perfect pitch so ignores me if I don’t whistle in the correct key😊 I used to be a muso… He sits still with his crest raised & really listens, or dances to his favourite dotted rhythm. So no joke!🕊️J C in Australia
This is a very different interpretation than I am used to in the Dvorak and I must say I greatly admire Mr Tetzlaff’s sheer power in his sound. It seems as well that he cares more about the overall phrase than he does individual notes in the runs, which I do find quite refreshing.
This Violin Concerto is considered one of the masterpieces of Dvořák’s so-called Slavic period. It was written in close proximity to his first series of Slavonic Dances and the Slavonic Rhapsodies and Symphony No. 6 with which it shares its compelling folkloric melodies and overall positive expression. In his stylisation of the violin part the composer makes the most of the instrument’s lyricism, while again suggesting his sense of the full, resonant symphonic sound. The piece is one of Dvořák’s most popular and most frequently performed works and is today an essential part of the violin repertoire. Blessed are those who hear him. *Lucien*
Thanks a´lot for the recording! What a great orchestra and a great conductor! I am a little disappointed with Mr. Tetzlaff. Unfortunately, his intonation and sound are not at all convincing. Especially in the last movement you can hear many technical problems that he tries to cover up with a lot of bow pressure. That`s sad, because he is a very good chamber musician.
On my part, I can scarcely recognize him as he whose rendition of the Mozart violin concertos I deemed wondrous. Had none else pointed the erroneous intonation out, in my shock I could have dismissed the matter as that of my having heard too few performances to judge… But NO; it seems that professionals ARE inclined to disappoint with this overly-domesticated self-confidence of some.
Let's not compare and just enjoy the artistry of each individual violinist. Theyr both such drastically different players and come diffrent violin schools of playing

Learned something new. Thanks for sharing the information about the animals preferences.
I hope your parrot likes also Bach, Brahms, Beethoven and other greats.

@@juliachapman1899 Great. What a unique parrot!
How didn't I never heard to this concerto before? 😮👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Die Akustik ist wohl ein wenig schwierig...

Thanking you warmly 😘
BRAVISSIMO!!! 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹...💗💕💗💕💗
On a good day, the Berlin Philharmonic or the Vienna Philharmonic can sound this good. Tetzlaff did a phenomenal job. Bravo!!
This is a fiendishly difficult concerto. I wonder if Dvorak knew what he was doing.
The music, the soloist, the conductor, each musician of this great orchestra, the place, the video, the sound. EVERYTHING IS PERFECT.! THANKS HR!
bravissimo
A marvelous performance! 👏

I think he is trying to be loud enough in this shite sounding hall

That immature need to compare and rank. This is art, not horse racing.
Dude are you hearing yourself 😂😂😂
