Got a good description of the thief. 6'5" tall, beard, kinda looks like an accountant😂😂😂
At 48 I can appreciate a spot for stuff and finding its home, that tool isn't an orphan is often repeated when I loan something out, especially to guy like Adam 😉
Your father-in-law has a really nice car there!!!
Lol
Doug, you are a very analytical man!
Adam is lucky to have you as a neighbor
Heck yes and he never brings it back. Blessings
Good job Doug on placing the tools, i love the RT car
Nice job Doug. This kind of thing is your strength. I really enjoy this type of video.
That is one hell of an SRT Challenger too. I was kind of hoping it was yours! LOL
Very nice layout 👍🏻
A place for everything and everything in its place. Well done Doug & Autumn. This is love in action. You set an example of how we should treat our parents. See you in the next episode.
There is a HUGE difference between organizing and staying organized. Labeling where things go makes staying organized way easier than staring at a big open space, trying to remember where stuff went. I'm all about making life easier - and labeling makes staying organized so very much easier.
Nicely done, Doug!
Take care and God Bless.
Man I hope my kids take care of me like that when im his age. Great video.
You and me both!
Labeling is good but you may find out that a period of time the labels may start to come off because there not on a smooth non porous surface. I have that problem before.
I loved seeing Adam coming and stealing your equipment 🤣 Great job on the organization and labeling, Doug. Nice Jeep your son has and also like Autumn's Red Challenger SRT 😉
Nice video. You give me a lot to think about for future organizing. An interesting video might be a week in the life of Doug, where you show how you occupy your time without getting into any real detail.
Well if you watch Adam’s channel, you will know where I spend a lot of my time. lol
Man I want to go out and clean my garage!
Lol
Love the organizational videos. I have a very organized garage slash man cave. I just ran across a storage crate that is the absolute best and figured I would share. Sidio crate. Sooo many options for storage. I bought two for now as they are expensive. They make me happy to look at and use. Take care
Thanks for the tip, I will look into them! Merry Christmas!
Great idea of labeling the tools especially if Neighbor Adam's borrows it!!! Lol Thought maybe he had a Hellcat sitting in there. Doug, you and yours have a Happy Thanksgiving
Thank you and you as well!
Well done Doug! That garage looks totally different. Great idea with the sand in the sealer too
Thanks, my inspiration comes from spicer designs videos!!
@@OneEyeCustoms hah ya right!
Thanks for sharing!
You bet!
Good one
Thanks
Doug, I agree, organization helps every one! I actually labeled the light switches in the garage! Mainly for me! Lol
Nice organization Doug. I love Adam getting busted.
I love your outtakes. keep them coming.
This turned out great! One of my favorite sayings in my head is: “organization is the key to success.” Maybe not the only key, but a very important one. Have a great week Doug!
Thanks Bob, that thumbnail was for you!! Figured it would make you click😁
@@OneEyeCustoms Haha thanks for that!
Great job Doug there is nothing any better then being organized
You got that right!
That tool idea you needed - French cleats are pretty handy. When I worked in a horticultural fuel store nothing was on the floor - I never asked why but I guess it was to do with fuel separation or just looking neater ….
I label everything...I've had a label maker for years. Neat and organized is my garage, shed and house...I drive my wife crazy sometimes but that is, I feel a good way to keep things off the floor.
I like those Home Depot hangers. Have you considered perhaps shortening the ones for the fuel cans just to make it a little easier to slide them on when they're full?
Beautiful garage update Doug
I immediately thought about outlining tool shape on the wall, similar to cutting it in the foam... But then I thought what if I want to change the place for the tools? So, labeling is better :)
Great job Doug, a spot for everything is what we all want. Getting it done is the struggle. Have a great day Sir!
Good morning Doug, you’re going to need a Camera in that outdoor storage area so you can catch that Sneaky criminal, he’s got a pretty good disguise looking like Adam yeah Your organizational skills are Dougified to the next level and will be pleasing to the eye and the overall life and usages of the tools. I was thinking that some netting in front of the shelves to keep things from dropping off accidentally as you’re moving other items off the shelf. Have a wonderful week. 😀👍👍👍
Doug, when are you available to do my garage? LOL.
Doug your an absolute gentleman!
Thank you!
Great job on the garage makeover!
Nicely done Doug
A dust pan and foxtail would be handy by the hand broom. Nice job.
I lable my tools also. Some people think I'm crazy but I don't care , heck they may be right. Good job on the garage , it looks great.
To make it quicker on putting the tools away, you could also add color coating to your labels red for big shovel, blue for small shovel etc
Yes, but my son is partially colorblind. Lol
Awesome job 🤟🤟🤟🤟
Awesome job, as always!👍👍👍👍
Really nice result, Doug. Good ideas, too. 👍
Thanks 👍
Doug you almost put your face into the center gas can hanger when bending over (look back at the video). I would recommend cutting and re-capping the center hangers they do not need to be that long......
Very interesting video Doug. I know that you know best but I was surprised you were not wearing your safety glasses when you were pounding nails and using your electric drill. Please stay safe, healthy and warm. Bill H from Cranberry Township
That dude did look familiar.....
Keep your eyes open for him!
Please make a large auger label
for Adams
Lol
Any chance you can move to Nova Scotia Canada and be my neighbour? My garage needs some help. Love the videos. Amazing amount of knowledge. Cheers
Probably not, but thanks for the offer!
I love this idea! The organization is great. I really need to do a better job of doing all this. I think it looks great overall!
Thanks so much! 😊
@@OneEyeCustoms no problem at all! I think a good and easy video idea for you could be a fall yard cleanup video showing your machines at work and the stuff you gotta do yearly. Just a idea
Anyone that shares tools in a household knows that experience of having an hour to get a job done and you spend the first 30 min trying to find your tools for the job! Great LEAN organizational tutorial! Curious... Did you tack a sign to a post in the boneyard so Adam knows where to return the post hole auger?
It was the only empty spot. He couldn’t miss it! 😜
Doug, do him a favor and get rid of the ridiculous government gas can nozzles. Installing the flexible hose and a small air vent has made using a 5 gallon can so much easier.
They are the old style, No government push nozzles
How did your father-in-law get so lucky? Nice work, Doug:)
Wow, thanks!!
Great job as always. Curious, how do you hang your ladders. Vertically or horizontal or do you utilize the ceiling space?
I hang them vertically and put two nails/hooks way up the wall into the ceiling. That way they are up off the floor and out of the way.
Ahhh...
Looks great. What sealer did you use?
Chemasters sealer
Adam owes you a steak for borrowing the auger.
Lol he is pretty good at making a fair deal!
Doug, what is the mat that you have under the mower? Something you put together, or bought?
It is a thin 4x8 plastic sheet that Home Depot sells. It works great for keeping grass from staining the garage floor.
Thanks for the reply. Great idea for keeping the mess off the floor.
He’s someone near ~ 6’-5”….😮
Thanks, that will definitely help.
But how on earth did you know his height? 😂😂
That is so cool using the space next to the garage doors for the hanging cans. Where did you get those wavy wall hooks from? Also, prior to sealing the garage floor did you clean it and if so with what? I have the same exact garage floor, a bit dirty with oils, etc. but I want to either seal or polish it.
Home Depot, I talked about it in the video. It was a fresh concrete pour so I only had to hose it off from dust then seal it.
@@OneEyeCustoms I totally must have missed that, thank you! After this video I saw the one where they poured, so that answers that lol. Great little garage!
@@progression_decibel awesome, thanks for watching!!
A challenger RT? Who does that belong too?
My son, it is at the end of the video.
@@OneEyeCustoms yeah, that's what the "ahhh" is for...
Doug, what sealer did you use?
Chemasters sealer
@@OneEyeCustoms Thanks! You da man!
Doug, would you still hang those gas cans if they were full?
Yep, the hooks hold 50 lbs and work great for a full can. The one was 3/4 full.
@@OneEyeCustoms ok. Only reason I ask is hanging those cans full for extended periods especially when hot out, I worry that plastic handle would start to deform and potentially break. Empty yes hang forever, full…I’m storing on floor or shelf.
