    Put ya some Guide Post on each side of the trailer , Use a little Larger all thread then slip a long Piece Of PVC down over that it will work like a roller on each side , Mount your Trailer lights on top of that it will keep them out of the water when ya launching the Raider and avoid blown bulbs Etc,,, trust me over time the lights will be a Issue ,I discovered this trick on a boat trailer I had About 20 years ago ,it makes loading up easier and no more water in the lights , I just Got A Raider ,The Build is on now so I'll build the trailer as well like I described , it works , a 1)2 in stick of all thread about 4 ft long Drop a big washer on then A Piece Of schedule 40 PVC pipe just a bit bigger than the all thread so it will spin freely put another big washer on that I used a second Nut to lock the First one and actually attached my Trailer lights bracket to that Second Bolt , I Sold that whole rig so I can't take pics but as soon as I get to that Stage of the Bass Raider Trailer Build I'll Be Glad To Share the Idea , it works with any boat, Any trailer ,and another plus of this is You can see those Guide Post Standing up on the trailer Behind You as your backing down a ramp ,three good reasons for this mod on the trailer,, I have a Couple More that makes the trailer even a bigger help , I have some Tough Places to launch, the ramps are steep but they have to be to avoid silting up , some I don't back down there's a Couple Of things that are helpful to launch at those, ,use a landing wheel on the tongue of your Trailer ,most come with the little small wheel, you can out a little Bigger tire on that , and I just drop that down, lock it in place , I take a Heavy DUTY 5)8 Nylon rope I use a small shackle to attach that to my Trailer and the other end to my truck tow bar , even my fiberglass was light enough I could launch by hand with the rope ,when taking the boat out I would put my truck at Top Of Ramp, use the rope to ease the trailer down into position and tie off securely then load my boat on trailer ,them get in truck pull boat up steep ramp to Level Ground just hook trailer on the ball roll up rope and all Good alot safer than trying to do it in these steep places , it really is Simpler than it Sounds by description ,, but anyhow always looking for a new idea that makes it easier, good job on the raider trailer ,, keep ya Line Tight 🎣 Happy New Year To Ya 🦈🎣😋 that's Dinner 🦈😋

I actually made a umbrella holder today for the boat. I live in Illinois and it does get hot here in the summer. Low to mid 90's for at least next 2 week's and not much rain. We get to experience the tropics and the North pole every year. Fish on!

    Nice looking trailer I'll admit I figured you redo the bunks on it. You choose to do the flooring way. Very nice

    • @dgalvan529
      @dgalvan529  4 года назад +1

      Thanks! Initially that was the plan but I went with flatbed for a few reasons. The boat fit the trailer snug and I didn’t want the fenders rubbing against the plastic during transport. The flatbed elevated the boat enough to avoid rubbing. Another thing was that the boats pontoon won’t completely sit on a 2x8 bunk and since it’s plastic I didn’t want it to warp or get a memory. Also with a flatbed I have multiple uses for this trailer. Love the way it came out!
