      Sorry to be that guy but it’s a slipknot, not a “noose knot”. It’s only canned a noose when it’s attached upwards for, yk.

      Everyone should carry around a piece of string on their wrist just incase they need it to survive some horrendous situation.
      Before going out, check spectacles, testicles, wallet and watch,... and string.

      @@JBplumbing12Just a genuine question, what kind of scenario would this save your life in an urban environment? I can see it being very helpful in the woods and on country roads, but appart from a tourniquet, can't see much more use of it in the city.

    • @JBplumbing12
      @JBplumbing12 Год назад

      @@wololo__ See all these blacks walking around with their pants falling down because they haven't been taught how to work a belt buckle and haven't worked it out for themselves yet. They could use a piece of string to hold their pants up. Umm, I just remembered they haven't been taught how to tie their shoelaces either, so string no good to them at all. But string is handy for normally intelligent people who can tie knots, such as tying a parcel, tying something together that broke, and playing cat's cradle while on the bus.

    • @firecross625
      @firecross625 Год назад +5

      @@wololo__ rope tourniquets are fine in a last resort situation but in general they just aren't as effective as almost any other makeshift tourniquet. A strip ripped from a bandana or piece of clothing will be more effective at stopping the bleed and cause less damage and discomfort, and if you can reach a first aid kit all but the cheapest ones will include a rubber strap tourniquet, which is a phenomenal option compared to anything makeshift

    For anyone wondering, I cut mine at 10 feet but ended up cutting it down to 7 feet long to fit this configuration. My wrist is 8 1/4” around. Even if it’s “short” it’s easily adjustable.

    the more paracord you have the better. you don't cut it. you make a different larger bracelet or possibly a belt. how about a headband. you only cut it when you need it.

      This would be enough chord for a tourniquet, to tie up a tripod for a shelter, or to make a plow shelter with a stick and a tarp. Just makes it easy to carry. The "survival" part would be getting lost or hurt in the woods. Might also be a good idea to carry a bic and a pocket knife.

      Cordage is one of the 5 (or 10, depending on what list you're looking at) of survival.
      Having extra cordage (and knowing certain knots) offers a lot of uses in everyday life and survival situations.
      Lots of info to tap into on the internet that will provide ideas.
