    The thing I think people forget about chamber is aside from his TP’s you need to aim to actually be effective with him. I dont think his head hunter bullets should be as expensive as they are and honesty his trip range is so shit now that it often feels like you have to put yourself in awkward positions to get anything done.

      Yeup, the player who makes the agent broken, not the agent himself that is broken. It is quite almost the same with Jett's Blade storm, it is overpowered when the player's aim is so damn good, but the thing is jett's nerfed is not as bad as chamber

      Disagree on head hunter. The bullets before were cheaper than buying an actual sheriff(600 vs 800). Now it comparable (900 vs 800). For 6 bullets (what the sheriff holds). Plus the scope I think it’s fair to be more expensive than a sheriff

    What I think should be changed:
    > When TP gets destroyed, the cooldown should be 40 seconds, not completely gone.
    > Lower the noise of his trip and increase the range
    > Give him back two trips
    These 3 changes would make him an actual sentinel.

      I find it an interesting suggestion, but that would probably leave people to not set up teamplay for chamber, which I think is kind of healthy for the game? Like we used to have solo chamber holds, i’m not sure if that would change with these changes. Maybe instead of 2 trips, a universal trip?

      2 trips was too strong, it allowed Chamber to hold a whole site without needing to hold any lines almost.
      What Riot wants to do i think, is to make chamber use his guns (headhunter and Tour de Force) as a replacements for his trips, he holds lines of sight;

    If chamber was released like this today no one would think he's bad. The only reason everyone think he's bad is because everyone keeps comparing him to his unnerfed version. He still has a trip, he still has his headhunters which are a good secondary, he still has an instant getaway, and he still have his free operator

      Toattly agree. The problem people have is that most player still refuse to play him as a sentinel - mostly stationary character that relies on his set up. If you do that, his trap is still very strong, and pushing camping Chamber, sitting on his ancor with a headhunter, is a nightmare. The worst thing Rito could do is buff him. Most players played during his dominante era and would get annoyed so fast if he stepped up again. It even opened up possibility to play other sentinels, and even tho, Kj kinda replaced him and began her own era, especially in pro play, she is far less toxic of character and people just go with it.

      his trip covers fuck all and forces chamber to stay behind his team and makes the execution on site harder for his teammates. even if he go with the team his utils have 0 contribution to a site execute unlike other sentinels. for example kj can molly annoying camping angles, and cypher can get info with his cam and makes the entry to the site easier with his smokes.
      on defensive side the nerf on his tp range really crippled him. he only has few angles per map where he can peek and return safely with enemy team’s jett dash and raze satchel which makes his playstyle predictable and easy to punish. not to mention that slow ass animation which is basically like phoenix ult now.
      his ult is now wayy too underwhelming for an 8 point ult while the competition in that range of ult points are all basically free site clear ults like kj kayo breach and fade.
      only thing thats going on in his kit is his deagle which requires skill to use(lol). if u wanna aim diff ur opponents there are wayy better agents for u to choose now
      sorry if i ranted a bit much. i just had a chamber on my team who went 2-20. but yeah if he released now with his current state he would get harbor on release treatment lmao.

    when an agent is dominant in valorant, it is almost hard to have fun. reminds me of the time where astra was SO dominant then she dropped from an S to D tier agent and the same happened to chamber. Love these informative vids though! keep up the great work!!

      Tbh, astra needs a small buff rn, maybe something to buff the time it takes to regain a recalled star or less time use stars at the start of the round. I was an immortal astra main so maybe I’m bias but I think omen is just better on most maps rn. Also harbour viper is a thing

    Originally, I was a chamber main as an newbie because I wasn't a fan of the abilities like flashes, smokes, and movements, so I picked a charcter that was essentially in my eyes, a gunman. In addition, it was one of my first FPS games, so I was shit, and needed a playstyle that would suit me, flank, silently kill, retreat, and that kinda worked with me. When the nerf hit, I was devestaed by the teleport one especially since my rotation speed, and exit length was cut down by miles. Anyways, shit actually made have to get good at the game

    As an original chamber main (i started maining him AFTER the nerf and got to play him ONCE before the nerf), I can prominently say that the nerf had indeed hit him like a truck and there are only a handful of people who really REALLY main him after it. Overall, he needs a buff, maybe a second tripwire or greater distance for the rendevous would be a good idea.

    i think chamber is an alright pick, the only thing i dont like is that his trip seems extremely underpowered, the short range often means that when placing your chamber trip on flank, you have to stay fairly close to it and cant get far enough to execute site with your team without opening up a pretty big window for flankers to progress, it also has the obvious side effect of chamber having to play off site on most rounds or face the consequences of there always being a possible flank, which is somethjing you shouldnt have to worry about on a sentinel. every other part of his kit is malleable but balanced. so i think a small buff to the trip where the range allows you to play on site with your teammates without having to worry about flank would be good. however they shouldnt overdo it in a way that allows you to lurk wherever you want on the map while still covering flank. this change could also shift him into a bit more team play because he wouldnt be able to lurk every round.

      I think it's fine for chamber to lurk, unlike other popular lurking agents, he doesn't really has much to offer for his team. He has no flash, no smoke, no entry. On attack he's better off holding flanks with an awp or lurking.

      @@kusolp544 I'm not sure because they reduced the damage so it doesn't one shoot on legs and the time between shoot feels slower than an op, but maybe you refer to the slow down that leaves on the ground after a kill, anyway if they don't touch the ult I think they can reduce the cost of his ability gun's bullets back to 100 for bullet

    What i think is, this game relies on abilities NOT just aim. This is not CSGO. If a player has an insane aim especially with operator that doesn't mean chamber does not need buff. He definitely does. His ultimate now technically means +4750$ to chamber and in many cases the wallbang is not even doing 150 anymore. His pistol gun is fine and doesn't need buff. The teleport needs slightly range increase as it is important in some maps. The trap definitely needs buff. It should explode and make a slowing circle if someone shoot it. If enemies just shoot it and rush site instantly then what's the point of it? Remember, chamber has only 1 trap not like cypher or others. And it is quite visible for enemies to destroy.

    I am a Chamber main since the day he was released. I've been pre and post nerf, and I think that Chamber is still a pretty viable agent. In fact, I usually win most of my Chamber matches top fragging. I think that he's pretty good right where he is now, but the problem is that people can't stop comparing him with his past self. That's good, it'll never change, people will keep doing that. But imo, doing that comparison is the reason why most people think he is unplayable right now. I'm tired of seeing video titles saying that he was destroyed and that he's useless now, because that's not the case. If you have the skill and practice with him as you'd do with any other agent, you can get the most out of him and he's still pretty good and can stomp the server. Yes, there are some maps where I can use some other agents because Chamber is not as overpowered as before, but that's actually not a bad thing, as it is healthy for the game. Yes, I had to re-learn how to play with him and new TP spots and strategies because he's not the same as before, but that wasn't a big deal, people just have to adapt instead of crying over the idea that he was destroyed, which is actually not the case.

      one concept i had is he has two trips, FIRE for his regular trademark,and ALTFIRE for a secondary trip that you put on vertical surfaces, this trip could stun you instead of slowing

    As a chamber main who has been playing him since march of 2022 i feel like this guy is still playable. I mean, you still can play agressive, but you have to be smart with it. The ult is basically a free op which you cant pick up, so why would you complain. Trip is fine, similar to the kj's one. And headhunter of course, still powerful in my opinion, feels amazing hitting a headshot and using a tp immidiatelly. The one thing that I would definitelly change is the time of the trip to arm from 4 seconds to 3 or maybe even 2,5 (kj's trip arms almost immidiatelly after putting it down, right?) and I would like them to make the time lower when you want to use the trip again. Killjoy has to wait like what, 20 seconds? (Chamber waits 30). Other than that chamber feels completely fine, i love him the way he is, true chamber mains remained after his nerf overall LMAO

      Even yay choose a ghost over hh bullets so when would u use the hh besind eco kinda expensive (in my opinion) and even if then u only use it with a op if u missed the shoot and can’t tp out (hh u also gotta hit the head in most cases and even if ur appropriately not going to consistently hit it) or ur dead
      Maybe if u run out of ammo but why don’t reload in the first place
      All in all u only get to use the hh in like what 2-4 Rounds

      HH still is insane. Way better than ghost for a simple reason. If u die u have you bullets in second round and u can often win it or do good damage. also u have it for long range and classic righclick close. Also if u spam and miss u can switch and shoot last bullet with hh. If u have good Aim the HH is insane ngl.

    When chamber came out i didnt think anythink of it than thinking with these abilities you need sova to reveal his position to not get killed by suprise. But if you dont use any abilites against him its just a win for him, now its a bit easier to fight him but still the one tap from his headhunter is still dangerous.

    I used to main chamber aswell, and i still play him after all the nerfs. i think either giving him two trademarks (slows) again and increasing the range that u can be in for them would be a very welcome buff otherwise keeping the one trademark and having unlimited range on it seems fair imo.
    The ult... i dont know whenever i use it now i feel like its even slower than a regular op this might just be a placebo effect but its how i feel. perhaps making it so that the slow doesnt slow down chamber himself might be a nice addition to counter all the nerfs he's gotten.
    Right now i only play chamber on 1 map fracture, sometimes ill use him on Icebox aswell other than that i think there are much better sentinels for any of the other maps and using him "effectively" is a tall order in Comp since "teamwork" is barely a thing there even in my immortal games the amount of times people dont want to work together and just have the biggest ego "im the best imma do my own thing" mentality is insane

    he needs atleast 2 infinite range trips for him to be an actual sentinal like look at cypher and kj they have 2 pieces of util giving them info while chamber only has 1 limited range trip, he was a duelist sentinal and riot wanted to take away the duelist aspect but they took away both now he is neither a sentinal nor duelists, he is just an empty shell of his previous self

    i really like chambers design but i think a few changes need to be made before he can be viable again, my thoughts are
    once he picks up his trip it should be immediately available, if he picks up his rendezvous instead it's a 5 or 10 second cooldown instead of 30
    if chamber is killed he should be able to keep his trip if he hadn't placed it down prior (similar to cypher)
    he should get his second trip back but i'm fine if this doesn't happen
    finally he should always spawn with at least one bullet for his headhunter (because of the saying "one in the chamber")

    Chamber can still be good if you know how to use it. You can make a site locked by yourself. An example is B Pearl. You can trip mid, play tube and put your tp in tube/site/screen and then peek again. Chamber is a better AWP'er than jett because you can put your tp's in diffirent places and be unpredictable. And then you just need at least decent to use all his util properly

      You can't trip mid and play screens or backsite even, his trip range is just so bad now. If you want to keep your trip you'll have to play with a tp on default and peek from there, you can't even play behind pillar otherwise his trip deactivates.

      You can put the trip in B link and go to B hall, but that trip doesn't guard the connector, so someone can sneak through it to A or spawn. The range is honestly bad for the most part.

      but chamber was never "dead". in the right hands chamber is since release one of the strongest agents in the game. its not unusually that a good chamber is 1th or 2nd on scoreboard

    These are the changes that I think would make chamber work better, but not overpowered like before. This would cater to a possible rework of his abilities.
    The trip: I would keep the singular trip, but increase the hp of it to 55 and increase the range that it stays active by 30%. The range right now only leaves availability for being on 1 site and only that site.
    Headhunter: change the amount of bullets to 6 or 7, reduce the cost of each bullet to 125 (if possible, I know that the game is in 50 point increments), make the equip time 6% slower, but return the accuracy that the headhunter had before. The op/headhunter combo is something that they don't want to have return in full swing. Having an ever so slight speed change in the equips might prevent that from happening while also making his kit stronger.
    The TP: Keep the 1 TP anchor, increase the range by 1.5m, reduce inactive time by 4-5 seconds from current after each use, and lastly (to increase the role of sentinel) have the TP pop a slow field when destroyed. The slow field TP can increase the role of sentinel on his kit and force some more aggressive plays. Also, with the slow field TP, chambers will have to be mindful of their teammates since it can screw over pushes or retreats. Double edge sword type thing.
    Finally the OP: Make the movement penalty on his op the same as a marshal. I feel that the op is in a good spot. It rewards accuracy and can work very well with his abilities. But it does not feel like an ult. An ult should feel pretty unique and powerful especially one that is meant for killing. The slow field is great, but it just needs a little more. My solution is changing the movement penalty. No overpowered possibilities if the fire rate stays the same.

    The most enjoyable time I had with Chamber wasn't the sick shots with the weapons he had, but with his Rendezvous ability. I always loved playing around and fooling enemies with that ability. I still remember the time when I was diffusing the Spike in Bind B and the Spike was in the tube. I diffused half, and waited for the auditory cue of the enemy dropping from Hookah. I quickly tp back to Hookah (my E ability was already set there) and killed the enemy from behind, from Hookah, right after they dropped down from Hookah.
    That being said, I have NEVER touched Chamber after his nerfs ever again. Reveling in the power he offered, it's borderline unthinkable of me to play as Chamber after his nerfs

    One thing that really annoys me about Chamber's nerf is not onlu how he has one trip like everyone says, but his "free" ability, aka his tp cannot be reused once destroyed. Like the tp is already weak because of the lack of range, but you can't use it once destroyed? Do you know how easily that trip is gone thanks to all the abilities like nades, shock darts, etc? Why do all the other sentinels have reusable free abilities then? Sage gets her heal back, cypher gets his camera back, and killjoy gets her turret back with a cooldown, why cant we have the same thing for Chamber then?

    I played little to no other agent but Chamber before the nerfs. I guess the good thing about the nerfs was that it pushed me to master other agents and diversify my playstyle but no other agent since has helped me climb higher and faster in ranked than pre-nerf Chamber.

    I think as a buff that makes him more sentinel like, the headhunter could have reduced bullets but revealed on hit with reduced damage. His traps range should be larger, his op is fine and his tp should have trap capabilities in case it's being camped

    Changes Chamber needs- 1. Give back the two tps but decrease the range 2. 1 trap is enough but give it unlimited range and 3. Increase the speed of his ult a bit, not like pre nerf but atleast more than now

    I think the only thing that made chamber op besides his tp was a player that has really good aim, especially pro players. Players like yay dominated with chamber in pro play not because of chamber, its because they had the aim that made his headhunter and tour de force strong

    I rlly hope that riot learned their lesson of not combining classes that are opposite to each other. You can have a sentinel/controller, but not a sentinel/duelist and you can have an initiator/duelist, but not a initiator/controller. Once you start combining roles that are supposed to be the opposites of each other, then the character becomes too versatile and dominates matches, has an absurdly high pick rate, and if a pro team doesn’t use said agent then it’d be considered throwing.

    I would buff him so he got 2 traps, and make his ult faster. Like something between pre and after nerf. Additonally I would let him get his teleport back after destruction in 45secs, after recall you should get the teleport back in 25secs

    I think my problem with chamber has always been his designation as a sentinel. He, like almost all characters, has a mix of sentinel and another role in his case duelist. The problem as I see it is that he either takes up the sentinel slot on you're team without any real abilities to hold down a sight, except to win fights, a thing in theory anyone could do. Or even worse he takes up your duelist slot, and he has no ability to take space for you're team, again ither than just getting a bunch of kills.
    In short Chambers core kit, especially his nerfed kit, pulls him in two polar opposite directions (sen/duel) and makes him a liability to most teams.

    Riot should make a game mode (or atleast a beta version to test out) which is just like an unrated or swiftplay game, but all agents have their util at their prime. For ex: Chamber doubletrips and faster shooting, Jett instant dash, vipers has more gas in her smokes, breach with 3 flashes and so on. I personally would think that this could be a very popular gamemode, a ton of fun with no limits. Now of course, this should be looked at very carefully with bugs, however i also think old players can experience the earlier days of valorant again, and new players also get a chance to experience how busted agents were at their best. Maybe the powerlevels are really hard to balance? Who knows. However, this could be an amazing concept.

Before that his whole kit was pretty ass like he only had 1 gatecrash, 1 footstep (they added another in for a bit), his flash wasn't as strong, his ult was shorter and in even earlier versions he wasn't even invisible in his ult. If you check all his changes on fandom you'll see he is literally at his prime right now. Also cypher cam with a gun, prime chamber, infinite range kj, insta dash jett are all pretty overpowered compared to agents like brimstone or sova.

    Chamber was the one who taught me how to actually be decent with guns. Chamber was high skill. If you had bad aim, his kit did nothing for you, similar to Reyna. Picking him now is not even worth it. People buy the sheriff instead of using the chamber gun, and I can get an OP far sooner than his Ult, which isn’t that strong anymore. It’s sad to me to see him gone, because I always wanted to be that that Chamber Main who could win the round for his team. Like you said, you can’t use him by yourself anymore, and I solo que 90% of the time. Having someone too strong is bad, but knocking them to the bottom of the list next to damn Astra is just sad.
    “Even if you’re not doing well, keep trying. We must keep up appearances.” I miss you Coach Chamber. 😢

    I'd argue they should keep him at 1 trip, but unnerf the ult and make the headhunter shots 100 creds again. Maybe they should even increase the range of the tp a bit. The only nerf he really needed was the proximity on trip, and changing it from 2 anchors to 1.

    The range removal of his trip and reduced cost of headhunter bullets will be a sufficient buff to him. I have no issues with any of the other nerfs tbh, but the trip nerf is extremely annoying. He's still playable tho

    They definitely went too far with the nerfs. Also I think trying to make characters fit into certain roles just gets in the way of good character design. Pre nerf chamber was a good all around character. He worked well as a sentinel or a duelist. I don't think his kit will ever be strictly one or the other. It just needs to be balanced

    Honestly, Chamber being a “gunman with a custom arsenal” falls short of his identity. If he could augment guns and enhance their properties with his nanotech it would fit more into adapting to situations. Like Trademark (literally meaning signature) ALT FIRE could modify sidearms into having different effects like making the Ghost full auto or the Classic create slow fields when bullets hit terrain.

    A big critique Chamber has since his release is that half his kit are just weapons. So i would give his gun an ability. When you hold it and press q again your next shoot makes a slow field (like the tripmark) on impact. It would consume 4 bullets but still work like a normal bullet. It would make his gun more useful and let him feel more like a Sentinel. A win win situation.

      4 bullets would be a bit too costly because a sage's slow field costs 200, but 1 headhunter costs 150, so 4 would cost 600 points. eventually that will end up being an ability no one will use.

    I think that they went too hard on the nerfs. His ability to be aggresive is now still possible, but much harder because his teleporter has a smaller range meaning it might be harder to get out of situations. I dont honestly think that they needed to add a range to his trademark either.
    I dont even think its fair to call it a nerf since every part of his kit is now worse. I think that nerfing him was needed, but not to this extent

      Since the nerf, Chamber no longer appears in tournament. I feel like the VCT is now boring because the exclusion of Chamber makes it one less agent in the pool making the selection even more smaller, only PRX is fun due to their unexpected agents choice, but the others, boring.

    From someone that plays this game for only 1 year:
    I think the current tp is easier to use with only 1 tower, the trap is good as only 1 unit and the headhunter is fine too.
    The only think i truly feel like riot totally ruined was his ult because the whole idea of an ult is to be something different from every other gun or ability and it's meant to be over powered. That's why you need a lot of ult orbs to have it. So making the chamber ult work the same way an op does is just useless. Because why using chamber ult if you can use an operator.

    changes i would suggest:
    1. reduce ult point from 8 to 7 (they nerfed his ult, it's basically just an OP with a slow + it's harder to get kills with chamber compared to a duelist)
    2. increase rendezvous radius from 13m to 15m
    these slight changes will help make him a lot better.

    They should give Chamber a second teleport. This allows him to have a set up for taking early fights on site before teleporting and falling back to fight again with a more passive teleport. Giving back both his old trips and giving head hunter a slow after getting a kill will emphasize his sentinel role. Just cause i’m biased towards Chamber, make the fire rate of his ultimate the same as the marshal and make his head hunter bullets cost 100 again :). I’d be down to here suggestion.

    I feel like his gun (the sheriff thing) has too much spread and is very hard to hit shots with unless you have really good aim. I always miss, but hit much more shots with a guardian

    Chambers nerf wasn't THAT bad, and personally, i think that the nerfs are exactly what the community needed. His trips, the headhunter, the ult, and ofcourse the tp got balanced really well. Hes not overlly powerfull yet not op as he used to be.
    And while i do think nerfed Chamber is hypothetically a bit useless, but in my general games he's still 'play-able' and personally i played him a lot recently and i think his ult isn't too bad and the tp is still very strong and just needed small adjustments of where you're putting it. Overall Chamber is a balanced agent.
    But now, Rito games need to pay more attention to phoenix, my man desserves better.

    If I was to buff him, either add both his TPs or buff the current range to his one TP. Make the Ultimate miliseconds faster, and his trip having a bigger range, but still having the 4 seconds startup nerf.

    IMO Riot went way too far nerfing chamber. Originally he was extremely overpowered - basically a duellist with the ability to lock down literally 3/4 of the map at once - A unique idea with poor execution in terms of the balancing. After the nerf, he’s in this weird grey area where he can’t compete as a frag agent compared to agents like jett, who is way more dynamic and flexible in the ways she can create impact, and he also can’t function as a sentinel due to only having a one range-restricted trip as genuine utility.
    I still play chamber but mainly just on Lotus (he’s still fun af and actually decent on that map), but he’s just too ass for any other map and for that reason they need to look into making him good enough to be viable in the meta again

    I personally still think he's a good agent for eco, simply because the headhunter doesn't need to be bought, and when you eco or use a weapon that combos with it ( a sniper or shotgun), it tends to perform well and can be saved to another round. This means if you rifle, it will only take you 4100 to full buy a vandal or phantom, 3450 if you are guardian player, and 3250 if you uses a bulldog

    im an og chamber main, i really used to enjoy playing him. i enjoyed using his abilities. i didnt like the rendezvous nerf because i feel like the tp range became so much more smaller after the nerf. before the nerf, i remember being able to rotate faster using his rendezvous. i really wish they could bring back the two teleports and buff his ult
