Well, well, look at that 12v linear actuator just laying around in my garage! I'm going to have to check the length on it and see if I can replicate your project. Sounds like an interesting winter project.
That looks great! Looking forward to the build!
That is an interesting idea!
Wow, that was awesome. I can't wait to get to watch that video. Way to go Martin. I love the concept and the execution. I love the clean install. Great job!!!
Wow, very nice Martin. Thanks for sharing the teaser. I'm definitely interested in seeing the full video. Would to love to make one for my rig too...
Good evening Sir, Only a Genius Person Like Yourself had tough of this Sir 👌👍😇 Cheers 🍻
Thank you, Dave! Cheers!
Bring IT on! Tim in northern TN
Awesome, can't wait to see it in action.
oh boy I've been waiting for this!
Can't wait to see complete video!!
AMEN!!!
Cool 👍🏻
Nice going Martin. That is the same way that i am making mine. That looks like the only way to make it. Later
Thanks, Mech! It’s not the only way, but it is the simplest way without making modifications to the SSQA mechanism. Thanks for watching!
EXCITEDLY WAITING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh yeah, I WILL want to see this! Looking forward to it Martin...👍
Hey now! This is exactly what I thought would be a great idea! Power levers! Keep it coming! 👍
Genius
Now dang it Martin, you're gonna take all the fun out of climbing on and off the skid steer to change lever position. I agree with Ed's suggestion....turn this into a vertical short.
You know me, Wendell. I’m such a killjoy! 😁. Started out trying to make it a short but it just wasn’t big enough to show it off well.
Those shorts look too much like tiktok which I HATE.
@@martyb3783 Yep, not a fan of TikTok or shorts.
OMG!! So smart and easy !!! Just add a reverse polarity switch !!! I have a couple of those actuator in my basement. I use one to control my chute on the snowblower.
Thanks, Eric! Yep, I have the switch and wiring, which is the next step. Thanks for watching!
It looks great! I look forward to seeing how it ends up.
Thanks, Marty! Stay tuned!
I can't wait to see more on this. I've thought about doing this but with hydraulic never even thought about a 12v setup
Hydraulics would be WAY too expensive and complicated. This is affordable and fairly easy. Thanks for watching!
@@DIYMyWay You're welcome and keep up the great videos
You may want to swap out that flat bar for some angle iron to add to the rigidity. Thats what i did on my setup.
Thanks Tim, but it isn’t necessary. The force required is not that great.
@@DIYMyWay if one of your pins gets bound up it will bend the flat stock if the actuator has enough force.
@@bulygoat The actuator does not have enough force.
Very interesting, prototype?
If it lasts, it's a finished product once I do the permanent wiring. If not, it's a prototype. Thanks for watching!
Have you noticed the mounting tabs on the rear wheel hubs? It looks like there are different ways of mounting the rims to widen or narrow the stance. Am I right and, if so, have you done that?
The rims on my Tractor don't have that option, but if they did I would surely widen the stance. Thanks for watching!
Made me wonder if you could use a linear actuator for an adjustable top link. I tend to doubt it, as there can be a lot of force put on it and probably strip the gear out. Considering the idea of putting a gear on the barrel portion of the top link and using a high ratio gear reduction to turn it.
Unfortunately probably not, I haven’t seen one powerful and sturdy enough for it. Thanks for watching!
🤔
Hey my friend, the vid is awesome! My colleague Barbara sent you an email for business inquiries, could you reply to us when you are free? ❤❤
You’re onto something there Martin! Make this video a vertical short! 👍
Thanks, Ed! I started trying to make it a portrait short but it looked to small so I opted for regular landscape video.
