It's a real pity it cannot be used on wood to cut as would have been safer than all other forms of cutting wood, just the wood would be to wet to use after, the wood would move, crack and can warp in any drying process. maybe something you can think about for the future of the water jet system. Is water limited to the water cycle? Can someone not shoot water into the sun and waste it? Can someone not poison water and waste it? Just because water does not naturally waste itself doesn't mean it cannot be wasted. Look up waste.

Don't know if that is the real reason. I know the first water jet was developed to cut diapers.
