Dude, I lived and breathed Oni for my entire 9th grade summer. Loved that game. Probably beat it 10 times. Now I’m probably going to watch you explain how terrible it was :p EDIT: yep 😂. Listen it was a different time, we didn’t have a million games at our fingertips. Oni was the game I got, so it’s the game I played :p
yeah man, tell him. the fucking kids today are spoiled. back in the day, when we got a new game, doesnt matter what game, IT WAS A NEW GAME, we played the shit out of it.
I suggest an old RTS game I used to play that people never seem to have heard of. it's called Mayday; Conflict Earth. and it's heavily inspired by the Command and Conquer series. But I love it more. set way off in the distant future of the... 2030s... with 3 main factions fighting for control over the world with robot units. it's a blast
I played Oni on PC. I am sad that I cannot play it on newer PC's. I honestly think you should give it a try on PC, maybe it will change your opinion of it. This game has at least one fan.
Here's a real gem you're going to have a blast with: Blood Will Tell for ps2. All I'm going to say is the main premise of the game revolves around you as a samurai recovering various body parts from demons, as your father made a pact with them before you were born for power. Trust me check this one out, especially if you enjoy Onimusha.
Great video as always :) So if you want some suggestions for others hidden gem, here some in a list ^^ : - the 007 games from EA of the 6th gen (everyone always talk about Goldeneye 64 but there are other great james bond games) like agent under fire, nightfire, from Russia with love (with Sean Connery reprising his role all these years later) and of course my favorite and the ultimate 007 game for me : 007 Everything or nothing (with Pierce Brosnan, Judi Dench, John Cleese, Willem Dafoe, etc) - the Syphon filter games (especially the original trilogy for the ps1) - the die hard games : die hard trilogy 1 & 2, die hard nakatomi plaza for the pc (2002) and die hard vendetta (2003) - indiana jones and the infernal machine for the pc (1999) & indiana jones and the emperor's tomb (2003) - enter the matrix (2003) & matrix path of neo (2005) - star wars episode 1 the phantom menace for the PC (1999)
I might be a little late but I'd like to hear you talk about a game I used to rent all the time, its called Enclave. Hack and slash type game came out on the original Xbox I think. Pretty good game from what I remember.
If we’re looking up old games you might’ve missed I’d love to see a video on the Dissdia Final fantasy games. Some of the most unique fighting games out there
The messenger, fable, yakuza kiwami 2, jet force gemini, doom eternal, age of mythology, dantes inferno, dead to rights 2, resident evil 1 remake, hifi rush, the warriors, darkest dungeon, jet set radio future, bloodborne, returnal, streets of rage 4, metroid dread (/64), darksiders 2, silent hill 1 & 3, crash bandicoot, red dead revolver, little nightmares 1 & 2, metal slug 3, guitar hero 3, the mercenaries, condemned, it takes two, prince of persia sands of time, fallout 3, street fighter 2 / 3rd strike, devil may cry 3, god of war 3, the darkness, wcw vs nwo (64), overcooked 2. *NUFF SAID.*
Good stuff man, I haven't played several of these. The last Spiderman game I played was on the PS2 lol. If you can find it, X-Men Origins: Wolverine on 360 fantastic. A rare example of a movie game being better than the movie. Also Divine Divinity is a fun deep cut. Its one of Larians early games, an Isometric Arpg. Very campy, but fun. Godspeed.
Most of the games people have recommended here are far from obscure, in my opinion. If you want something actually obscure, try The Unholy War on PS1. It's an arena fighter/TBS hybrid set in a fantasy sci-fi universe.
You won my viewership with your masterful review of dark forces two. So heres my reccomendation. E.O.E for ps2. Short for eve of extinction, i believe. Interesting game, never beat it. But relatively unknown.
I wish there was a way to mute/remove/replace peter 's voice in web of shadows either by mods/cheats/hacks. It would allow me to play WOS in Zelda style and enjoy it more.
Hey Evan, recently found your channel and like the videos you make. I have some suggestions for games you could showcase on the Retro Room : - Nightmare Creatures (PS1) - Unholy War (PS1) - G-Police (PS1) - Ghost in the Shell (PS1) - Primal (PS2) That’s just a small handful I can think of at this time, it’ll be interesting to see your breakdown/opinion of these titles. 😁😁👍🏻👍🏻
An old game I'd love to see you try is Star Wars Empire at War. I remember loving the game when I first played it, however I bought it again recently via steam and just couldn't get into it. Would be neat to see your opinion.
Check out some mods like Thrawn's Revenge or Republic at War! They breathe a new life into the game with a lot of gameplay and UI improvements, new units and factions. They're awesome.

I've heard the PC version was super good!

Crimson skies
Operation Flashpoint
It's sorta obscure sorta not but you should play Little Big Adventure. The controls are a little bizarre at first but you'll get accustomed in no time

@@evprince Thank you ;)
Never hear anyone talk about Drakan the ancient gates!
Web of Shadows is my favorite Spider-Man game, and I'll die on this hill.
Some videos you just press like right when they start playing. This is one of them
The First Star Wars Starfighter was great. Jedi Starfighter was even better

I'm planning a Season 2! Probably going to focus on either PS2 or Xbox though, so maybe I'll play that!
Much respect to you. Daredevil is my fav sidescrolling beat em up.

ambience is a French word, why do I hear so many RUclipsrs saying it like "ambient".. that's not how you pronounce it.

Somebody’s too young to remember the earlier comic representation…
Web of shadows was incredible. Voice acting was the worst part tbh
You should try Giants: Citizen Kabuto
2 weeks until Mario Kart 8 is eligible for the retro room folks
"halloween month" you mean October????? lmao
Legend of Legaia 2 is pretty obscure.
Have you played Omega boost on Ps1? It is a gem. Star wars: Revenge of the sith on Ps2? Highly recommend them.
No but that sounds really cool
supreme commander 1. favorite rts of all time.

The theming of this video is so weird, why are half of them Star Wars games?
I'm fixing this issue next season! A much more varied selection will appear!
I got a more obscure game for you to play: Psi Ops Mindgate Conspiracy.
Timesplitters 2 needs a remaster
