I had someone else's copy of I&W in my disc man, so I listened to it in the car, and then one day it hit me. these guys are really good! so I checked them out on utube, saw this vid, showed it to a friend, and 20 days later we're at the best gig I've ever been to. hardly new the songs, I couldn't have enjoyed it less! 6/16/09 was awesome!
Portnoy always been the soul and energy of the band. His inflection is magic. Mangini is a talented robot but it is sad to see him play Portnoy’s parts.
Actually yeah, thankfully I own the dvd and I listened to the commentary on it. And I'm glad someone out there knows where I was coming from with the Rush reference aha, thanks.
This show pretty much secured Portnoys legacy as the greatest drummer ever. He was drunk off his ass at this show and still managed to lay down the craziest drum solo ever at the end of metropolis. Dream Theater is simply unbeatable

@worthykev I read some reviews on Amazon a while back. They said the sound quality was bad. But it sounds good enough on this RUclips upload so that means it should be even better on the real DVD. I think I'm going to buy it soon.

The only important mistake is between 2:45 and 2:47 when Portnoy was out of tempo and he remarkably corrected it. Amazing!
