Hi, I`m after a bit of advise on an exhaust problem and a bit lost and i see that you guys know your exhaust mods so i`m kinda hoping i could get some pro tip. I have a 2013 Audi A5 8T3 3.0 TDI which has the RS kit on and the rear has the diffuser with the oval fake tips (which i removed at the mo) as i need to grind down my pipe ends so it does not knock on the fake tips. I have the possiblity of a pair of original RS5 back boxes (they are cut at the service point) from a RS5 F5 module which have the oval tips already attached. The question is am i able to fit them on my car and would they sit inside the diffuser holes without knocking on the edge of the holes? Thank you in advance for any info you could provide as it would really help me out. Cheers Mark
@@DarksideDevelopments the reason i ask is that the actual box is pretty much the same but the rs uses twin exit ports off the box where as my a5 only uses one exit and the other is blanked off. If that helps? Once i`ve done the external i do wanna map the engine and would also like to know if the gearbox can be mapped or something to tighten up the change of gears etc. Cheers anyway you guys do awesome work on the cars you have in!!

Unfortunately we cannot give advise on this. It is the customers responsibility to ensure they comply with rules and laws relating to their home country.
Once the DPF has been gutted and EGR blanked, does the car need remapping to prevent smoke? Or can they essentially just be ‘switch off’ in the ECU without a full remap?

DSG Tune is not done yet. We are seeing how we get on without it first, since not all customers will have it. There is not really any need to retune after the exhaust. Dyno soon...

Why is there no smoke after DPF removal? Was also thinking of a custom exhaust, but honestly, I wouldn't like smoke comming out like I've seen on most DPF removals.

3.0TDI on those early A5’s is CAPA model and comes with a little bit better HPFP than the later A4’s with almost-the-same 3.0TDI, but still limiting it to somewhere +350 hp. So I assume that that is also on your to-be-updated list? Any plans to start selling bolt-on HPFP upgrade for 3.0TDIs? Just asking for a friend... 🙄

Obviously DPF delete being something that will fail an MOT here in the UK, what is the best exhaust set up for a nice V6 TDI such as this that preserves the DPF? Ahh man it sounds SOOoo good with the DPF out, too bad you can't keep it that way. Just personal opinion this one but when it eventually comes to the new exhaust tips, I find the looks of dual tips much more than the quad tips on S5. This first generation A5 Coupe was designed so well that I personally find there is no better look than everything OEM.

Tune it right and the only thing you see it just slight haze on WOT (can it even be said WOT when talking about diesels...?) even without the DPF.

Would automatically fail with that system, but just gutting it should be alright as long as you get a decent map to go with it.

A remap is not needed just the software removal. Smoke should not be bad on the stock tune.
