@magikarpofthecovenant I'm only halfway through the video. But it's important to mention, Memento is a top 10 deck easily. Arguably top 5, and fuwalos does almost nothing to it. Good decks exist that can play around stuff. I think that the only REALLY good arguement you have so far is that the top decks get too much advantage going 2nd using charmy. I feel like with the dominous stuff, it'll age a little better and come to be appreciated. Because previous decks weren't designed around the restrictions, but future decks will. Which can help rogue decks in the long run to have tools that top decks don't have during certain metas

@@Rabidragon9241 ok cool yeah keep watching i think i bring up the future format potential, but i do agree there are decks that dont fall into what im talking about which are highly playable but we also have to look at the fact that these decks are far from optimized because people barely give them any attention now this can help with the fact that people wont know what your deck doe so theyll play into a lot but a deck cant survive like that and at the same time if people are testing a deck the ability to see how it will do in the future is non existent. now i really like memento and it will be my next deck but with the way power creep works and the fact mementos engine is huge and its end board isnt that oppressive those will be the real factors on if memento or any deck for that matter has staying power in a format

@magikarpofthecovenant yeah. From some OCG results, I think post next ban list it'll be really good. Especially in a raziel/malice format. But still, gotta say the main issue is the starters and extenders of the modern decks. Fuwalos is just objectively better designed than they are. I think that Fuwalos can inspire different meta calls from the players who are really skillful. People will get lucky, but that's not just luck. It's decisions made by their opponent to play a deck that is hurt by it, or to not play optimized lines.
On the other end, I can see a potential bad outcome, and it's that decks who play I to Fuwalos will pop up because they can set up floodgates, and not have to deal with the downside. That's the worst case scenario I can see. Decks like ritual beast and D/D/D come to mind. (Yes I know D/D hasn't been meta since 2022 but my point is it can kali yuga and those types of things are what I'm talking about.) Floodgates that completely overpower everything are what it can potentially breath meta potential into.
I think the bad players getting to start with 10 cards in hand is a bad point, because it's completely up to their opponent. Especially since it let's decks with less hand traps have more potential to power through and express their skill. And it makes going 2nd better, which as you said, going 1st you can set up FTK boards, so going 2nd getting help is a good start. These kind of things take time to settle. Decks of current meta were design around maxx c, decks of the future will be designed around mulcharmys. Unfortunately things will suck for a bit but come some clean up and new decks the game can actually become really good.

@@Rabidragon9241 yeah i can see where youre coming from it is as matter of opinion i just dont like the theory that our deck choices should be largely affected by non engine rather than an engine itself we may as well set rotate at this point. like an example would be if purelly were tier 0 i wouldnt play r-ace because its a terrible matchup but it also shouldnt force me to play purelly you know?
i do think i mention that in the video tho about the ten cards in hand thing its like every deck wombo combos to some degree where youre almost forced to play into mulcharmies (unless youve drawn like 4 non engine 1 starter) because whatever you can make off of your starter at the bare minimum isnt beating 7 cards in hand anyway so like i said youre best hope is to make full board and hope they opened a bunch of doubles and bricks like ill even give an example in memento its abig engine so lets say you open dark blade and 1 hand trap which is pretty common ( we work off averages not ideals) normal dark blade effect they fuwalos you summon ang witch they draw 1 you add horse now you cant end on ang witch it does nothing so you summon horse now you can go sp pass here which is another draw and then they draw for turn so thats 7 cards into an sp and 1 ht, youre not winning that ever so lets say you go full combo youve got both fusions thats 2 draws youve got rabbit or closed moon thats another draw and lets hope you dont have to activate bone party or that goblin biker card (i know this looks a bit messy trust this is better when spoken) i think what im trying to say is there is no minimum board that plays under a fuwalos that ends in you winning so youre forced to full combo. if our mid combo cards did stuff itd be better but they dont its all just gas into gas
