- I've had my medium Telfar Shopping Bag in black for THREE YEARS now, and I've used it EVERY DAY for work. I've thrown it around, carried a heavy laptop in it, stuffed it way too full, and generally used it like a monster. So how does it hold up after all these years of continued use?

Great, great, great video. I have become a collector of Telfar and have quite a few bags. I switch mines up of course depending on my outfits. The score in this video is dead on. The more you use a bag the more it will wear. I have had a few of my bags (15 Total) for a few months now and they still look brand new with no wear. I look forward to seeing how my bags will age with time.🤗

I got the Eastpak collab for my 4 yo because of your review haha. I figure it can suit him from 4 to 40. He and I can both wear it even now! So adjustable, versatile, and stylish.

My kid has been using a bag by Christian Robinson (artist and children’s book author/illustrator who is also black and queer) as his preschool bag since he was a bitty baby. We are coming up on kindergarten in 15 months, which meant he needed something bigger to accommodate technology and books/notebooks. (We’ll keep using the CR bag outside of school, and maybe someday I’ll inherit it fully. It’s adorable!)
I did feel slightly ridiculous buying a child a designer bag and also so far in advance of need, but I told him it could last him for literally decades. He was so excited when it arrived, and he puts stuff in it and carries it around proudly. Really a magic trick how it can fit him and me-I think it’s because the backpack straps form a triangle-the apex can accommodate small to large wearers.
I set the shoulder strap aside for now, but he could really rock that in high school or college. Will have to do a Fifteen Year Update. 😂 He chose painter’s tape, which is vibrant and gorgeous in person.
I love that he will be repping a black and queer designer again. I’m raising him to celebrate everyone, and watching his kindness gives me hope. I am older … I watch you thinking how proud I would be if my son grew up to be like you! 🤩😎
I treat my large bumblebum pink bag like absolute shit and it's still so stunning. Def beat up and a few smudges but I'm shocked at how well the light color has held up. I use it 1-2x per month as my travel bag and I have rarely taken a single trip and w/o getting a compliment.
yesss these bags can really do through it! when i see horror story pics online i’m just like “what did you put it through??? a trash compactor???” lol
I think these bags look better with age. Pleased to hear they hold up. Every time I wear my pink azalea telfar I get compliments from guys & girls. Horror stories??!?! What are those? Ive only heard good stuff
i used to have an azalea bag but it was too much so i gave it to my friend 😭😭
i think the horror stories are just pictures from really really old bags like over a decade old but they’re making it seem like it’s not normal for things to wear lol
Did you find that the black color got shinier over time? I just bought a resale one for a work trip this weekend and I'm on the fence about it. Everything looks authentic (tags, stitching, packaging) but the color looks dimmer compared to the black ones I've seen.
I use mine a lot. A lot. I find that I've been messing up the corners at the top. 😢
That bag looks cheap AF 😮 like Walmart makes better purses than that paper thin looking mess. Charging leather prices for plastic is wild to me and y’all buying that crap😂
Tbh I get if you subjectively don’t like it, not everyone has the same level of taste! But for sure I’ve used mine every single day of work and it’s wearing better than some of my leader bags from like Givenchy and Balenciaga. 💜💜
@@hellsborough my opinion is objective. Facts. Even telfar site admits its bags are a polyester/polyurethane blend. Now researcher polyurethane. It’s a polymer. Research that too.
