Great video. I think most people like seeing the final product before the video begins. Just kinda helps the people that are searching for videos like this.
I have an old built-in ironing board that I don't use and I was looking for inspiration for a jewelry organizer to hold it and HOLY COW this is so perfect!
Great idea and thank you for your great video. To screw in the hooks quicker use a wooden dowel and cut a slit across the diameter in the width of the wire of your hook. Put the dowel in your battery drill and voila. If you are not worried about scratches just put another hook in your drill and just it as your Anker to screw.
Hi Amanda, I just discovered your channel by way of wanting to make a wall hanging jewelry holder. My suggestion for the screw in hooks are two different choices, 1st you can purchase nylon jaw pliers for jewelry making or, put the hook inside the chuck of a drill, tighten as much as possible and drill them in. Maybe put a small piece of electrical or duct tape on the hook before putting it in the chuck.
LOL on the hooks I have been through the same issue and what I came up with was using a bit that went in my screw gun that I kind of rigged together I took two Alan or metric wrenches, tape them together in the middle made one longer than the other because one's got to go in your screw gun, I taped it on the top with the hook part into it then I'm going to use the screw in the hooks it worked perfect like a glove, just not the first try LOL just took me a few minutes to thiink & revamp them, but in the end it worked out good and my fingers were very happy for that. Nice job on your project here very nice I'm in the process of building myself a I'll just call it a piece cuz with all these ideas have in my head with what I watch on 100% on it yet LOL so thank you for the ideas God bless.
That's a good idea! My husband ended up getting me a drill attachment for Christmas (shortly after this project) that is a "one size fits all" type socket wrench thing...hahaha my explanation is horrible. But it works like a charm for hooks. I mean I messed up the first 2 I did...trial and error like you said lol. I'm the same way with projects - have a million ideas in my head and never know which one to do. Sorry for the delayed response..I didn't realize you commented until today!
i make my own key for the hooks whit a hexagonal sockets set just cut it with a grinder to acept the hook and now you can use a drill to install the hooks. easy an no finger pain lol
Thanks! I got it at Michael's, is supposed to be for rings but works perfect (still) for my earrings. I think any craft store has them and I'm sure Amazon does. Amazon has everything! 🤣
Hey Elaine! Sorry I'm just now getting back to you! There must have been some kind of gliche. I checked it on my phone, and it's letting me change states. Let me know if you're still having this issue and I'll see if I can figure out what's going on.
Yep! I use the black felt box in the middle for stud earring storage. It works perfectly - even though it's vertical, the foam helps hold them in place. I haven't had any fall out yet.
I was thinking about asking myself LOL but I do have all the tools and know how so she doesn't have the time to make you one shoot me a message and we'll talk ..

Thanks! Good to know. I'm about to get back into making RUclips videos so I love suggestions!
Also, I appreciate that your video is relatively quick while still providing a lot of information.
Thank you!
I am brand new to woodworking and you blew my mind covering where the screws go in and sanding it down, it's like they were never there! Magic!
Oh, thank you!!😄

Oh that would be perfect for jewelry storage! 🙌

Thanks! That's a great idea too! I'll have to try that next time I'm screwing in hooks
You do beautiful work !!!

Great job! And I’ve put bandaids on my pliers… the cotton pad portion where the metal will be gripped.
Oh awesome! That's a great idea! Thanks!!!
😮 looks perfect. I’ve seen people add space to hold curling iron etc
That's an awesome idea!!
Hope this helps..... Using a drill
(with another hook as your bit) when installing multiple hooks.
Yeeesss! That's genius! I wish I would have thought of that...it would have saved my hand so much pain. LOL
There’s an attachment you can buy for your drill.

Beautiful work! 😁 I love your tools!
Thanks Janet! 😄
Regarding hook installation...there's a universal socket looking tool that attaches to ur screw gun
ok, I hope you do more video because I would love to see more from you. NEW SUBSCRIBER HERE!🥳🥳🥳
I'm hoping to! I've got one in the works right now...hopefully I can finish it soon. Thanks!
You’re so handy and clever!
And with a wonderful personality!
👍
Thank you so much!!😊
Awesome work ✨✨✨❤️❤️
Thanks!
Nice!!!!
Beautiful!!!
Thanks!

Blue painters tape on the hooks and use a drill will socket.
Sweet! I'll try that next time. Thanks!
Awesome!!! How did you mount it on the wall?
I screwed a couple of screws through the top back support and into studs. Its super sturdy and hasn't budged!
Predrill holes for hooks.
Perfect!
Thanks so much man!!
Looks good, where did you get the insert for the stud earrings?
Thanks! I got it at Michael's, is supposed to be for rings but works perfect (still) for my earrings. I think any craft store has them and I'm sure Amazon does. Amazon has everything! 🤣
@@designsbyay Thanks!
Maybe try a piece of heat shrink over the tip of your pliers. We used to do that at my last job when we had a similar issue. Nice job though.
Awesome! Thanks for the tip!!
when I try to order the plans I can't put my state in. It won;t change states. Beautiful job on this.
Hey Elaine! Sorry I'm just now getting back to you! There must have been some kind of gliche. I checked it on my phone, and it's letting me change states. Let me know if you're still having this issue and I'll see if I can figure out what's going on.
I saw a video of someone putting a key in a drill and putting the hook through the in the key
Interesting! I'll have to try that!
Put a hook into you drill and hook it into the other hook and go slow
I wish you sold these! :). I want 2 of these side by side without the mirror. It’s way too much for my lack of woodworking skills.
Do you like in the Upstate of South Carolina or somewhere around? 😁 I haven't figured out shipping stuff. 🤣
Beautiful
Thanks!
Do you have a place for stud earrings?
Yep! I use the black felt box in the middle for stud earring storage. It works perfectly - even though it's vertical, the foam helps hold them in place. I haven't had any fall out yet.
I love you!
Would you be interested in making one for me!!! I love it....perfect for organizing. I would love to do it but I do not have all the tools.
I was thinking about asking myself LOL but I do have all the tools and know how so she doesn't have the time to make you one shoot me a message and we'll talk ..
👍🌺👍🌺👍🌺
Thanks!
Do you have the plans yet?
Not yet, but I'm gonna get on it and have them ready soon.
Gostei
For those less handy can't someone just buy one and out into the wall ?
wrap the pliers in duct tape or electrical tape
Sweet! I'll try that next time
Hi. I'm Mandie. I'm a disorganized chaotic creator.
Hi honey how are you
I did it myself with the woodglut plans. I think this is the best way to find out how to build it.
Great video. I think most people like seeing the final product before the video begins. Just kinda helps the people that are searching for videos like this.
Thanks for the feedback! I'll definitely do that next time.
