For the curious, you can disable the auto rotor tilt and use the custom up and down buttons (up or down arrow default) to adjust the rotor tilt. You have much better control on take-off or landing, especially when you are way too heavy for vertical take off. Just do not set the rotor tilt beyond 70 degrees on the ground, or you will break a rotor, and be forced to respawn. Also, you can capture bases by carrying an APC and drop them near or on top of the base. No more needing to wait for the main force to arrive.
@@Человек-Вархаммер Yes, the rotor tilt 90 degrees forward and 20 degrees back from vertical which is super helpful when trying to decelerate and land without having to way back to where you lose all sense of position, lol
You can dogfight using the tarantula since its forward weapons are turreted and you can actually go side to side pretty good with some practice, not to mention you can snipe other tarantulas with the 76mm
I lol-ed at 4:12 Resupply turned into kamikaze anti-shipping strike ..... Great video! Yours is the 2nd mention of this game in my timeline. Looks like I'm gonna have to check this thing out....
@@jamesactual nah, just hold f, they mentioned it on the patch notes: Unified auto-hover functionality for SAH-46 Chicane, EW-25 Medusa, and VL-49 Tarantula, toggled by holding the Flight Assist button
This thing is a PAIN to fly if youre running higher than 50% fuel. Also when trying to land i find the improved auto-hover feature super helpful give it a shot!
I feel your pain, tweaking my X52 binds to make it play better. Tap/Hold button for FA/Auto-hover was a game changer this patch. Looking forward to using this more! 4:00 Does this mean we can bomb bases using not-bombs to evade AAA?
Also, tap F to toggle auto vectoring. I fly forward until engines are 45° and toggle Off until I gain more speed. Then toggle on until 90° then lock in for "airplane mode". When coming in to land, I reduce throttle to 10% and slightly pitch up to bleed speed. When it starts to sink/stall I activate auto vectoring again and increase throttle to hover.
50% fuel is a game changer for it.
Oh, thx for tip
After 20 minutes of full throttle "48% fuel"
High effort content creators like this need to be prioritized by the algorithm, especially smaller ones like you!!
Exactly :D
When you blew the carrier in half with a CONEX, I laughed hard. That was glorious! 🤣
Gotta say, I didn't expect the explosion to destroy the other munitions container mid-air! That's some good stuff

I am curious, could Tarantula turn rotors slightly backwards? Like -15-20 degrees from 90°?
@@Человек-Вархаммер You can do negative tilt so you can take off vertically nose down.

Yeah, learned that real quick, tied it to a rolling knob on my throttle which gives it a lot better fine-tune control than the buttons
Fucking legend.

"I'm badly panicking right now" is so common for me in this game, but I love it.

I find the best trick is to get in rough position before slamming the breaks and turning on auto hover to land
How do you engage auto hover? Hitting 'F' toggles auto / manual control of the engine angles, is there another command?
@@jamesactual nah, just hold f, they mentioned it on the patch notes:

It flies 100x better with a joystick
It flies so much better in manual engine tilt
Flying this thing is like trying to park a battleship.
I'm getting Battlefield 2 helicopter flashbacks.
Me when my V-22 Osprey hibrid is a gunship

Definitely took a little getting used to those landings, but it's certainly my favorite aircraft of the game by far

The resupply count as heavy bomb if used as you did :) It oneshots a carrier!
I never use the agm considering I can destroy 4 shard class corvettes with the 76 from almost 40km away
Agm are easier to hit ground vehicles imo

more of an airship, would love if it gets airdrop capabilities, butputting aa trucks in random spots is funny

Will you show some escalation Gameplay of the tarantula?
Maan this is so beautiful!!😍
Haha, nice video xD
Btw Tarantula was easy to control for me after playing on V-44 Blackfish in Arma 3)
i dont land vertically
i do it horizontally at a runway to drop the vechicles

Once you land on the pad in the city, how do you change load out?
You can disembark just like at an airfield. Just make sure youre within a few hundred meters of the helipads.
@@pajamas720 oh shit, that's what I was missing lol. I forgot you had to ditch the plane.
What game is this??
Nuclear Option.
It's a "Light Sim" that focuses more on gameplay than outright realism.
Id recommend a controller. Its much easier.
