Since I know you’re an anime fan, my name suggestion for the first betta is ‘kakatte koi’. I know it doesn’t work out quite as well because he isn’t a koi betta but his coloration kind of reminds me of one and he does seem pretty feisty haha
I always do this if I get a new beta I currently have I have four babies and a tank of guppies they're male. After rearranging their tank they seem to be less aggressive. The guppies are new so I don't know as much about them as I do betas but I tried to study as much as I could. there was a tail number I think because I noticed that four of my guppies had tears in their fins and I heard splashing but since I had always had betas I didn't know anything about that so after I moved the decorations in my tank cuz I did a water change like a complete water change and I also really cleaned out the gravel it seems to be a lot better there's no splashing anymore and it seems like everybody's getting along well now thankfully I have almond leaves in my water three big leaves and I put in some aquarium salt so I'm hoping that the fishtail will heal and they'll go back to normal or pretty close to it Do you know how long it takes for a tared fin to grow back because it looks like chunks were bitten out of the tail fins on the guppies. Just those four I was actually thinking of taking those four out and maybe separating them but I'm not exactly sure what I should do

I have like an email I would love to show you some pictures of a beta that I rescued and when I bought him he was Gray he was moving but Gray and after 1 week of clean water with almond leaves and good food he turned blue red and pink like a pinkish color not like a light pink or like a neutral pink

hey could you remove the filter out of the betta cause you will not allow the betta to create a bubble nest by that you will take away the nature of the betta thanks:)
Do you have any videos on preparing a 5 gallon betta tank without the really long fishless cycling? I'm on day 6 of fishless cycling w ammonia at 0.5 and nitrite at .25 w day 5 of seachem stability as instructed and initial dechlorinator. This betta was for my 4 year old son and our first one died in 12 hours, but little did I know I did not warm the tank nicely or do any kind of cycling other than dechlorinator. Maybe the betta was sick to begin with, he was nowhere as active as your new betta. Can I do a 50% water change to this current water, continue w stability and add a new betta after good acclimation? Keep checking the ammonia everyday?
what youre describing is a fish-in cycle! while i don't recommend it for beginners, it is very possible to do that if you stay on top of daily water changes and continued water testing! a lot of people go that route while some don't like the ethical implications (i personally have no opinion on it). nonetheless, sorry to hear about your first betta, but youre right, some come in very sick to begin with
If you’re into Seinfeld, “Art Vandelay” or “Costanza” could be good choices. Also setting up my first ever aquarium next week. Patiently waiting on the supplies you recommended in your marineland 5 gallon tank video.

i think they have their place for fry, but they foul the water fast so i wouldn't use them for adult bettas since there are other options out there - just my opinion though... they're a great source of protein nonetheless!

i use the notches within the bottle cap, the directions help you figure out how much is needed!

What's your opinion on feeding hard boiled egg to adult bettas???

having your tank cycled is arguably the most important step, usually takes a couple weeks. youll know once your water parameters stabilize
