You could take a look at the Outer planets mod. It adds planets beyond Jool in true kerbal fashion. You could go to the gas giant of Sarnus (saturn) with its rings and land on its moon Tekto (titan) with a thick atmosphere and low gravity. Or even its versions of neptune or uranus.
oooo I second this. I played with gameslinx's planets pack back in the day and I can't get it to run on the most current version but outer planets has been a fun stand in now that I've been back into it, so I could seeeee Matt liking it since he loves GL's stuff
As someone who owns KSP 2 but still plays KSP 1, so happy to see this. Thanks Matt! I keep telling people KSP 1 is far from dead, people will be playing it for quite some time to come...
You could make a series called KSP 2-in-1, where you implement all the promised feature of KSP2 using popular community mods. Interstellar travel, base building, nice graphics, new star systems, even multiplayer; they are all possible with readily available mods. Might make the algorithm happy until KSP2 works well, or humans colonize Mars, whichever comes first.
Idea for future missions: you could use RSS to recreate many real life launches. Viking, Voyager, Cassini, James Webb telescope, etc. Lots of fodder for future content. I'd love to see a challenge where you send the Curiosity rover to Pluto or Titan or something.
JNSQ for a bit of spiciness, BEAUTIFUL planetary visuals, and just an overall better stock system with more planets and bodies that actually fit well within the game and feel vanilla Beyond Home 2.5x scale however, if you're looking for a completely new system! (2.5x because the default BH solar system is smaller than the Kerbolar system, unless you want that, by all means go ahead) Edit: say what you will about Ares I, but that thing was GORGEOUS
Glad you chose to do a KSP 1 mission, would love KSP 2 content once the game becomes playable but cannot blame you for not wanting to deal with its rough outer edges.
You should put a giant space station in high Kerbol orbit, outside of Eeloo's orbit on the outskirts of the Kerbol system, and it must have a lot of space for snacks because you cant really resupply it often.
I'm currently trying the soviet Moon landing program. I think the LK (landing module) poses interesting challenges: - it's way smaller than the US lander, not easy to replicate without clipping - only one seat, and the crew had to EVA from the Soyuz to enter the lander - it runs on fuel cells and not solar power (which I didn't know before launching it) I think it would make a good alternate history Moon landing video :)
Also an idea of the mission for you: just rescue kerbal from Laythe, BUT there is no Oxidizer on Kerbin! You need a Liquid Fuel-only SSTO with mining capabilities capable of reaching Laythe I tried it many times but it became huge and couldnt go beyond Kerbin
I love that you are using KSP modded in your videos now. The mods add SOO much to that game! Can't wait until KSP2 gets fleshed out more. It's gonna be EPIC!
Emulating the complete Artemis III, IV and V missions, with a Gateway, Lunar Starship and Blue Origin lander would pack a neat punch from vehicles, orbits and the like.
Matt, I’ve been watching since 2017 and I know how much you like to avoid mods to make it easier for new players. However, I do think it is possible to still be new player friendly while using mods (For example by only using one mod or mod pack at a time, linking everything down below, and explaining to players how to download mods, and illuminating via editing which parts are modded. It’d be a lot more work, but could really allow you to do mods while still keeping the character of the channel intact. If you do download mods, the following are fairly stock-alike, would be cool to see and really help spice things up: -Blue Dog Design Bureau - Adds new US Cold War / Space Race Parts in Stock-Alike Style -Tantares- Adds new USSR Cold War / Space Race Parts in Stock-Alike Style -Commonwealth Rockets Expansion- Adds new Commonwealth rocket parts from the Space Race in a Stock-Alike Style -Tundra Exploration- Adds new Stock-Alike Space-X Vehicles -reDirect- Adds Stock-Alike SLS, Orion, and Shuttle-Based Launchers -Cormorant Aerospace- Adds New Stock-Alike Shuttle and Buran Parts -Commonwealth Aeronautics - Adds Commonwealth, especially British, SSTO parts (Including Skylon!) I’d recommend looking at the GitHub and internal wiki pages for these mods, to see everything they have and how you can integrate tiphem together. Note that some of these require other mods to function correctly.
you should try “freeiva” and “through the eyes of a kerbal” for the series, it really gives a ton of immsersion and challenges you to build so that the kerbals can realistically go through your crafts
Plenty of interstellar planet packs out there if you wanna give that a go. Personally, I’d recommend the Kcalbeloh system since it’s a very cool system with some absolutely gorgeous planets.
What about moving into Juno: New Origins for a change? It's sort of like KSP1, but looks like KSP2. Plus, unlike KSP2, you can play Juno on darn near everything.
Playing stock ksp is easy. I recently installed RSS/RO, my word. I am yet to successfully launch a payload into orbit. I have made orbit, but just with no propellants left to deorbit
I do like mini builds. :) Giant builds too! :D I think I would like to see a few more mods; even parts mods so long as there's not too many. It's a little unrelatable when there are so many parts mods I can't tell what any of the parts are, but if they're introduced perhaps 1 or 2 at a time, I'd love to see the different designs. Does that space shuttle have enough delta-V to get to Jool? :D Yes it does, it has 2700m/s on the main engine in LKO and 500m/s on the maneuvering engines. There's a mission idea! lol I've done it with 2200m/s using a poor-quality Tylo assist to capture, maybe 400m/s for orbital correction, and aerobraking down to Laythe's surface. But I guess this shuttle would be annoying to fly due to its center of mass/thrust issue. Great to hear there'll be more videos and at no more stress to you, Matt! :) Edit: I've got to mention the Whirlygig planet pack. The home planet is so oblate and spins so fast, it's like a slightly higher-gravity Tylo at the equator and a much higher-gravity Eve at the poles! It's also got a moon with a SOI so small, a normal sort of capture burn has to start before you enter the SOI. Something for a challenge, perhaps. :D
Hey Matt i hope you read this comment because just wanted to ask you a question, Can you please make a video listing all the mods you use(not only the graphical mods but also the parts mods and gameplay mods) because I have watched some/a lot of your ksp1 video's but I always wonder what mods you use. Thank you.
Did you use your custom controller for this vid? It would be really interesting to have a cam showing the controller while you use it. If you're comfortable doing that, ofc
Hejo. I think it would be entertaining to see a mass-scale cheap mon-kerbal Transportsystem for a possible colony. Creating a systemidea useful for wide-scale intergalactic ksb2 goverment
Hey Matt I just started the video but I want to let you know I absolutely love minified recreations so I really love your previous mini ones and I know I will love this too (just from the look on the thumbnail)
Do Outer planets mod content, maybe they’ll add it to the base game. The outer planets end up being harder due to communications and electrical limitations. Should really push your limits on a more realistic mission.

I think he has, but idk
I support this notion. I just did a Jool mission, and now have my sights set on Sarnus
I'd suggest JNSQ or Beyond Home 2.5x rescale (it's smaller than the kerbolar system by default)
Do a Artemis 1 mini mission please.
As someone who owns KSP 2 but still plays KSP 1, so happy to see this. Thanks Matt! I keep telling people KSP 1 is far from dead, people will be playing it for quite some time to come...

Also personal preference, but KSP 2 UI looks "cool" but also like, not very conducive to a slightly more "casual" play style, if that makes sense.
I love the fact that matts community is so bad at deciding on stuff, that we made the vote 50/50
HOW DARE U?
\
Yeah, ksp 1 is by far more superior, ksp will have its day, but not this day, not until it has most of its features released.
Dude y u be mean
didn't know he speaks dutch tho
@@flyrii bro how fucking weak do you have to be to consider that mean
just came back to your channel, forgot how good your content is. keep making vids, love you!
Did you leave the channel because of ks2 Videos?
@@jakoblembcke1442I assume lol
KSP1 for life
That's what I told him when he asked the first time
KSP1 4 LIFE
Ye
fax😮💨🙏
HURRAH!
I have been binge watching you a lot lately and I’m glad you uploaded a ksp 1 video
If you do several lander types, you should land them all in the same proximity on the Mun. Kind of create a mun-based lander-garden 😊
The sequel to micro station we never knew we needed!!!
I always wanted to see you run the Kerbalism mod to add life support systems to your crafts and have to plan that stuff in your missions.
Idea for future missions: you could use RSS to recreate many real life launches. Viking, Voyager, Cassini, James Webb telescope, etc. Lots of fodder for future content.

I would love to see a recreation of the Soviet N-1 rocket. it's such a strange and interesting rocket that doesn't get enough attention
He already did
Modded MATT LOWNE VIDEOS!? Unreal. I 100% say yes please do that.
I think it would be fun if you recreated all the Apollo-missions (1-17)!
i made a mark 0.625 space station. for crew modules you gotta use the dlc panels and command seats

love your ksp1 content
14:29, Actually, Pirs was undocked, which is about the same thing as Poisk, and it was replaced with Nauka
This is such a legendary idea!
This series sounds great
Matt I love your enthusiasm in this video. Excited to see this series play out. :D
Funny how Bill bumbed into the Kerbal on the EVA- Cranething ^^
Good to see you still uploading. 😊
I thought of a mission to build like a Space Robot in earth orbit with each limb being a part. Like the Voltron robot or something. 🦾😎
Also an idea of the mission for you: just rescue kerbal from Laythe, BUT there is no Oxidizer on Kerbin! You need a Liquid Fuel-only SSTO with mining capabilities capable of reaching Laythe I tried it many times but it became huge and couldnt go beyond Kerbin

i never played KSP1.. just got on board with KSP2 and absolutely love it!
In ksp 1, you should try to send a base to every planet and moon in the game in a single launch.
Can you do a mini-scale Mir station or proposed lunar gateway? ❤
Happy to see you play ksp 1 again
You should recreate Artemis as a series. First launch around thé Mun in a high orbit then Artemis ii gateway, starship,...
you should try “freeiva” and “through the eyes of a kerbal” for the series, it really gives a ton of immsersion and challenges you to build so that the kerbals can realistically go through your crafts
Love to see a new vid by matt, keep it up!
I bought your plush in the last two hours, after debating on whether I should spend 60 AUD on it... but it looks so cool!
best thing to watch every season
Plenty of interstellar planet packs out there if you wanna give that a go. Personally, I’d recommend the Kcalbeloh system since it’s a very cool system with some absolutely gorgeous planets.
For KSP2 Mun landings, there are a lot of real missions that crashed. Simulating that in KSP 2 should be extremely easy, with the Kraken helping even.
Rp-1 challenge with Carnasa. Oh man.
KSP1 video⁉ YOU ARE GREAT ❤❤❤❤ KSP1
The docking port rotation was locked when vou docked to the space station with the shuttle
Love the content keep it up
Clouds looks sick!
i love ksp one it just looks sooo cute
I’ve been waiting for you to post
I would like to see an ICBM, where you can pre-program the destination and doesn't require manual input during flight.
Ahh heating effects….. I miss those😔
Wasn't there a KSP mod for Toy Solar System where everything was shrunk down to 1/10th the size?
Back to KSP 1!
HES BACK IN THE SUPERIOR GAME
Yay I was expecting no ksp video this week
I really enjoy watching the KSP2 vids more....
Would still love to see a mission where you actually visit every single launch site on Kerbin.
What about moving into Juno: New Origins for a change? It's sort of like KSP1, but looks like KSP2. Plus, unlike KSP2, you can play Juno on darn near everything.
thank you for a new video!
Nnnnooooo you left the orange tank in orbit! It will smash the space polar bear!!!
12:48 MATT! you left debri in orbit!
Love the videos as much for your skill in the game as your madcap commentary. Cheers 🍻

Jeb from jool orbit
Bob from Bop
Val from vall

Now this is epic
we need to see some of his surface bases with the "Free IVA mod"
I think it would be really funny to have a sun plot following someone else doing a Soviet version of the video
Are you liking you new controller for these big launch’s?
Can you make the most massive space station? Preferably with an interior small fighter docking bay
I want a .625 m crude cabin module! It could bulge out the sides and call it the Kram.
Or an inline cockpit, the Kramp
What if we send a shuttle to the station, and then to the Mun in a single launch?
Can you list the mods you use in the clip description??
Now you have to do micro ares too!
the VAB/SPH theme music just slaps
i've got a challenge. build a mun mission with as few parts as possible
You should take a look at the infinite discoveries mod

I need more planet coaster in my life especially with a lack of ksp 2
its nice seeing ksp1 content again! I find it really hard to watch ksp2 content when its so buggy.
