Alyssa had a valid point about asking Coco how she felt about being safe doing a celebrity she gets paid to impersonate 6 nights a week. Chad won snatch game doing Cher who Chad is known for. If I was safe playing someone in snatch game that I get paid for and I'm known for, I would be pissed.

also the difference between global and this is with global it is one sided fights where out of no where someone will just say something about someone’s outfit and it comes off as jealous and rude but with this (besides maybe roxxxy vs jinkx) all the fights are fair and people are fighting about stuff that makes sense but global all stars is not that way

Season 5 of Drag Race is the pinnacle of drag culture, so much shade, over the top busy looks, this is drag excellence, like I’m so glad that now drag is at a level of other performative arts such as acting and singing, but we should still celebrate this type of culture in drag
The editing on the older seasons ELEVATED the humor and chaos, that’s half of what made the Untucked sessions so memorable. The editing on modern seasons is way too polished and less chaotic, which in turns makes it less funny and memeable.
I miss the good old days when drag race was campy and fun and not looking to push for specific agendas and contestants weren't constantly walking on eggshells so they don't offend the annoying, mostly straight, audience.
Nothing touches s3-6. 9 is up there but those were the best seasons back to back and they weren’t scared to be their authentic selves, and throw all that shade ❤😂
I started getting into the show during All Winners, and when I would watch random clips from previous seasons, a queen would say something shady, and then all of a sudden, there was silence, eye rolls, and side eyes for 10 seconds straight......ALL THE TIME! 😂
It is justified now too, we just get horrible sentence mixing as if they didn't even tried to hide that it's soundbites jumbled together instead of over editing with reaction shots
We can see when queens are natural or not in untucked and I think S16 had a pretty good quircky and shady cast but every time they were starting shade or funny things the guest judge pops up to cut it short… and I don’t know why because most of the time that sequence is just boring
I hope fans continuously go back and appreciate the single digit seasons. They were so scathing, cutthroat, and (sometimes) problematic, but it added to the flair of the contestants really getting into it. From almost fist fights, to throwing drinks, to everyone ganging up on one person, to queens beefing the ENTIRE season, to the very messy and inconsistent editing.
Season 5 gave us everything. Jinx was the quiet assassin the rest of the queens didn't see until it was too late. Little Jade stood up for herself and read Alyssa. I screamed for joy. Alyssa, you couldn't tell her she wasn't that model for drag queen
