- 📱 With iOS 16 you can now customise how Notifications are displayed on the Lock Screen. You can stick with the traditional List of Notifications which fills the screen or opt for something new like the Stack mode that neatly collects all your Notifications in a single pile at the bottom of the Lock Screen or maybe even the Count mode which displays a discreet number of notifications at the bottom of the Lock Screen to make them less distracting while you're working.

i used to like it before too. idk why they change things that have been that way for a really long time and not even give the option to keep it the way it was, if they were gonna add other things.

I don't understand why when I swipe down (when unlocked) it doesn't show anything, I have to swipe up after I swipe down to show notifications... I missed so many notifications because of that. I hate it

So wait a minute, in iOS 15, I could simply look up to the right of the clock from any app and know that I got notifications and swipe down to view them.
Now, I don’t even know if I have notifications unless I swipe down and then swipe up on the lock screen?

Apple: Hey why don't we put all new notifications on the BOTTOM of the screen, directly opposite to where the entire human race normally looks to start reading things?

Seriously Apple....this isn't a difficult concept. I mean, I have to swipe them back UP to the top (ish) of the screen anyway to start reading them. So why not just make them start there?
When I'm actively using the phone I have to swipe down from the TOP of the screen to retrieve my notification. Why should I have to wait for notifications to sail all the way from the TOP to the BOTTOM, where I then have to scroll them back UP to get my list recent notifications. Then I start reading them from....wait for it....the TOP of the list back to the BOTTOM (because that's how humans read things) to get a picture of what happened when.
Bottom to up, back to bottom, swipe down when using phone. Then swipe back up to get a list... it's completely assinine UI design.

@@itzmikail5370 I mean when you swipe up to view all your messages at once they do not show at all, which they previously did. Now I just can’t know what messages I’ve gotten unless I open applications myself, which isn’t that bad but I was just wondering why

@@ma1102 If you haven’t yet, I found out how it works now. When you swipe up to see the Notification Center, you see on the bottom of your screen ‘do not disturb’ instead, if you swipe up from there it will show you all the notifications you’ve gotten during the time it was on do not disturb

Why did they move them to the bottom? It’s so annoying and inconvenient now that they’re down there.

Why would they changed the notification to the bottom? That’s so annoying! I want it at the top. If they keep making random change, might have to switch to Samsung 🤦🏽♀️

For some reason the count option isn’t working for me
Hmm, that’s odd! On the Lock Screen wait until you get some notifications then “flick down” on them. As if you were pushing them off the bottom of the screen. That can also work to change the display mode and that might get Count to work for you.

right bro. everyone is like cool update but i hate the time font, the notification style and who knows what else ill find
i am so glad i can find pissed people in this comment section. i was starting to think I was just petty. from the timer to the notifications... they're just making it worse.
I hate the notifications at the bottom but I can see why Apple did this,I think they want to make it easier accessible with one hand. iPhones are big now and thumbs can’t reach up top. There used to be way to change it by holding down the notification and it let you change where it appeared but it’s gone big sad. But I still hate it,bring back the top notifications plz.

This is not strictly a return to old notifications. Please note that Apple in its stupid modification of the system GUI also changed:
- increased the size of application icons that now cover more of the read text of notifications, which pisses me off the most,
- reduced the amount of information in each notification,
- notifications now expand from the bottom in some conical style,
- they have a disgustingly pale color for my taste,
Apple phones are getting worse. They give the impression of children's toys, contain a lot of system errors.
