As per my limited knowledge I would say that it's god decision to punish you for the bad deeds which you have did in the previous lifetime It's very obvious that maximum of the people in this kalyug have did bad deeds in the previous lifetimes but the lifetime for which the particular soul should be punished for his bad karma is decided by God . May be God chose this lifetime of yours to punish you So when that situations comes we should just accept our condition that everything is just coming back to us and thus realising this we should do the good deeds for making the better future next time Om shanti
