My dad as a kid couldn't afford a TV, but even when it was an all-American fight, he would listen to it on the radio with his old man in the middle of the night. Ali vs Frazier, Hagler vs Hearns, Rumble in the Jungle. When Jack Johnson was fighting it was a huge event around the world. Boxing just doesn't feel like the symbolic sport it once did, the sport that the whole world was obsessed with.

I thought it would have been much better for Usyk to have retired after becoming undisputed. It would have been a great way to go out. Was he stripped or about to be stripped of the IBF belt or did he jump before he was pushed? I can understand him wanting to fight for more money and to honour his rematch with Fury.
