Spock is an iconic and glad Gene stood up and supported the Spock character.
You and me both!
he believed in spock which was great
Very informative and entertaining - some I knew, much I didn’t. Looking forward to watching more on TOS - the only Star Trek for me!
Well done!
I really enjoyed this one. As right now I am rereading These are the Voyages. To hear your insight combined with what is written within those pages, is like getting the icing on the cake.
Also bring on the Star Trek movie drama I am ready for it.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much!
To think that some housewives could be so scandalized by a fictional TV character is ridiculous. Really glad Gene didn't let them get their way.
well done can you imagine how great Star Trek would have been without even half the drama it had to endure but then again with all the drama look what it produced like they say what dosent kill you makes you stronger
Lol indeed
Yes Backtrek ist back very nice
Thank you!!
Loved her in the star trek movies and other star trek episodes!
Me too!
Excellent video. I was familiar with some of these. I had some Lincoln Enterprises catalogs as a kid and I definitely remember the IDIC pins. I always thought it was a nice idea and showed the progressive side of Trek and the future. But I did read in one of the many Trek books that it was a shameless cash grab by Roddenberry. Still the idea is a good one. Diversity makes groups/teams stronger and I've always believed that.
My cousin is a huge Trek fan. If you could suggest some books you used in this video, I'd like to pick some up for his birthday.
Sure, Inside Star Trek, the Real Story by Herb Solow; The Making of Star Trek, Stephen Whitfield; Star Trek Memories, William Shatner... These are a great start/ read!
Is Harlan's original script of City On The Edge Of Forever available to the public?
You can find paper or ebook copies of it for purchase but I don't know if it's available to read online anywhere.
🖖
I love to see more Back Trek episodes, maybe a history of the TNG era.
Lol you need to check the videos before you comment David LOL As that is already there LOL
@@TriAngulumStudiosAudioComics Ok
@@TriAngulumStudiosAudioComics Polite way of saying RTFM dude.
I do try to be polite ;) :P
@@TriAngulumStudiosAudioComics It was the triple LOLs that really sold it :)
Interesting. Roddenberry had good ideas but others had the do the characters and plots, good that they dead.
Geee, all Gene had to do was ban her from the lot. That would've fixed it 🙄
Sorry? Context Please?
@@TriAngulumStudiosAudioComics when Jeffery Hunters wife would storm into Gene's office and make demands on "behalf" of him. He really didn't have to take that, did he? It's his project he makes the decisions right?
Yes? But do you think banning her would make her husband easy to work with? Or even want to work for Trek? So that would be a silly idea!
@@TriAngulumStudiosAudioComics yes after I said it, it does sound silly. My apologies.🙄
No worries, we all make mistakes sometimes 🫠
