- The power supply is the most common source of failure for HLG-550. Learn how to replace a power supply for Horticulture Lighting Group's HLG-550V2 and HLG-550 V1. A bad power supply could also cause the HLG-550 lamp to turn on/off and it may work fine when dimmed.
HLG-550 wiring color codes for Meanwell driver (AC side):
• Driver's brown +ve DC wire to Black lug
• Driver's Blue -ve DC wire to Silver lug
HLG-550 wiring color codes for Meanwell driver (AC side):
• Brown to Black
• Blue to White
• Green/Yellow to Green/Yellow

The one hlg sent me has 2 output cords.. idk what to do with it in a T junction on the board
Mine has a inventronics driver pretty sure i can just swap to meanwell?
Nvm.. not 2 outputs.. 1 was for the adjustable dimmer.. c2100B version
I see, so the power is connected and 90' T is only connected via the ground connection (for which is grounded to the board as well). Ohhhhhh....I see their setup now. I believe this is setup in parallel too.
I bought 2 HLG 550s almost 3 years ago and started having problems with one of them just turning of on the middle of the night around 3 months ago. Now both of my lights act like throbbing lights. Is there a way to fix the drivers? I don't have the funds to buy both of them at this moment! Thanks

Approx how long will the leds last? Like 3 crops etc

I believe the HLG-550 is rated for 5 years of use. You shouldn't have to change out the driver unless it completely fails on you. It doesn't happen often, but we produced this video just in case someone has to swap their Meanwell driver out in the event of catastrophic failure.

@@cullenswanson we've had our 2 hlg 550 v1's for around a year and a half now and just found 1 is out. We switched the outlet just to check if it was that plug but no luck. My buddy ordered it so he's wondering if y'all have a warranty on the driver, or recommend a test to see what's the issue? Or do we just buy another driver? Any help is appreciated, thanks, had to go back to the old h.p.s. again, ugh,lol ▪☆☆☆▪

If my 550v2 doesn’t turn on and there’s a clicking noise in the driver do need a new driver or is it a connection problem? 1 year old 😪
