Energising Development (EnDev): Clean Cooking Awareness Campaign, Kyuusa Enfumba Yo

The Clean Cooking Awareness Campaign “Kyuusa Enfumba Yo” urges the population to switch to using improved cooking technologies such as energy efficient cook stoves, to improve their cooking experience. Energy efficient cooking technologies come with several benefits for example, better health given the reduced smoke produced during cooking since they are designed to burn fuel more efficiently. One also gets to save on energy costs by spending less money on buying cooking fuel - up to 50% fuel savings. “Kyuusa Enfumba Yo” is a campaign that was originally designed and implemented in 2018 by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development (MEMD) and GIZ Energising Development (EnDev) Uganda in cooperation with the Uganda National Alliance on Clean Cooking (UNACC). EnDev is a global multi-donor partnership implemented and coordinated by GIZ and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency to facilitate access to modern energy services in 25 countries worldwide.
