  • Rob Zahabi from Rides by Kam shows you a quick way to get your etch primer down. You know the drill. It’s Friday afternoon and you’ve spent the whole day creating something awesome, but it’s in bare steel. You need to protect it for the weekend with some etch prime.
Use 3M™ Accuspray ONE Spray Gun System with PPS™ 2.0 (00:40)
Convenient and fast, this system is a lifesaver in the shop. A spray gun and various tips with the PPS 2.0 cup system - put your paint in and you’re ready to go.
Versatile and easy to clean (01:40)
Tips range in size from 1.2 to 2.0 mm to suit paints from an etch to a high-build primer. Remove the tip and all you have to do is clean the needle, saving a ton of cleanup time.
    Important note:
There are of course many factors and variables that can affect an individual repair, so the technician and repair facility need to evaluate each specific application and repair process, including relevant vehicle, part and OEM guidelines, and determine what is appropriate for that repair.

I have a job to do restoring my 1967 C10 for me. Working on 2,500+ vehicles per year at the dealer, but diagnosing system problems, not the body shop as a tech. Although I have done body work and painted 6-7 vehicles for our family, products change. I think in the future using the calendar as sections to develope a plan for next week, month, season and a year ahead. Today, I am taking product notes and learning what materials, products and procedures to end up with a vehicles that will function, look excellent and last well after me. So I am choosing product as I learn what the latest technology provides. From seam sealer that is heavy bodied for the vertices section of this 68 C10 drip rail, then using the self leveling sealer for the rest of this spot welded seam. I was lucky as the truck is nearly rust free. But holes below the “A” pillar and thru the holes used covered by the sun visors, read view mirror (Converted to outside temp & compass) but these allow for cavity wax. Behind the seats up into the “B” pillar and dome lamp are room to allow for nearly 100% coverage. No one would think of doing this and don’t. Knowledge, learning the current products and using them correctly is a recipe for success.
I have 3 spray guns equipped with the PPS cup system with a box of 100 stored safely. Thanks for this topic!
    I appreciate it.

Lmao 45 minutes to clean a gun, are you nuts! Who in their right mind would throw away a tip every time. They aren't cheap. 🤦‍♂️🙉🤯! Come on 3m, get real. This gun is about $350 Canadian. So so over priced for plastic. 👎
