The Horror Anime That Leaves You Shocked

Heavenly Delusion has come to an end. This anime was one of many anime released in Spring 2023. I truly enjoyed most of the episodes, with the exception to episode 12. My reaction to this anime was like most. I have not read the manga by Masakazu Ishiguro. The alternative title is Tengoku Daimakyou for those who may struggle to find this anime. This anime made me love the post-apocalyptic genre! From start to finish, this series is full of dark and heavy themes that may not be suitable for everyone. So if you're considering watching it, be sure to have patience and an open mind!

After my mom gave me access to her Disney+ account, I randomly went "is there any anime on here?", so I thought I'd search up Anime. There wasn't much interesting stuff there, but I saw Heavenly Delusion in the search results. It stood out, looking somewhat more serious than other results. I believe I started watching it when there were only 3 episodes released. I got hooked INSTANTLY. I don't think I've ever been this immersed in a fantasy world. I'm glad I found one of my favorite anime series by complete accident. Can't wait for the second season.

I did enjoy watching this anime, however, it comes with its flaws. Do I think it is the greatest anime of all time? No, not really. I do think this anime is one of the better series to be produced this year. I think if you can stomach themes and elements associated with an anime like this, please give it a try.

This is the kind of series I was initially expecting to be something truly special and, in many ways, I still do. I think it’s great as is, but the issues I had relate chiefly to where it left us in those last couple of episodes. Won’t get into the specifics, mainly because I don’t want to spoil anyone who’s reading this, but something pretty messed up happens to Kiruko’s character and the show leaves us with a bunch of new questions. That makes it difficult for me to score the series because, while some parts of it are truly excellent, there are elements that require explanation that they just left hanging.
I think as a journey rather than a destination, this series is excellent, and I dearly hope it gets another season to continue to provide answers to its many mysteries, many of which still haunt me.

I highly recommend reading the manga if you still want something more. This anime left a lot of stuff unanswered. I really wanna season 2

well that's not a very fair complaint. Your problem with the series is literally just that you haven't seen the entire series. Just go read the entire series.

@@crystellik funny you should mention that. I’m caught up on the manga now and I have the same complaint. Only in the most recent chapters have we started to find out more information about Robin, and notably, nothing that explains his actions. So the issue persists, though I’ll also note that the problem wasn’t just with the lack of information surrounding the incident. I’m very fond of this series otherwise.
