Thanks. I just brought another set to make my setup look even. The big test comes at the end of the month when I try them out at full volume for my school's assembly. Let me know how you like your's.
I thought the Gig went well. The sound was loud enough for the dance floor and not deafening for the guest, so they could still have a conversation away from the dance floor without shouting. More importantly, the venues I used it at had a Loud Music Ordinance, so I couldn't blast the music too much. Of course, the loudness didn't come through on the phone I was using to record because I was behind the speaker. I brought a second MLS1000 to use for my school's Black History Program. Now I really get a chance to see how powerful the MLS1000 Speakers are. Here's the link of video I recorded at the Birthday Party I first used the speaker at: ruclips.net/video/ECzYqNznQyI/видео.html
Cool! I think you'll be pleased with your purchase. I brought a second speaker for the Black History Program in my school's gym. The two speakers were more than enough. When I had the speakers set to "Dance" you can feel the bass punch you in your chest about 10 yards away with the volume set at around 1/4th of the way turned up. And when I stood all the way on the opposite end of the gym, the music was still sounding strong , but a little bassy. That could be a good thing if that's what you want and that's the only downside I can think of for a column array speaker for this price. Sometimes it was too bassy, so I ended up setting the Preset to "Speech" and adjusting the eq's a little to tame the bottom frequencies, since I was playing music and having people sing or talk at the same time. I hope you have a great experience with your speakers and good luck with your dj'ing.
@@XmikeromoshX Yup. I bet it was. How loud did you have your volume on and on what preset? I had my speaker at about the 10:00 spot on the volume knob and "Dance" for the preset for parties and I switched it to "Speech" when I used it for our school assembly, with a little bit of external EQ'ing.
Hi Niki, I made a video explaining how I connect my DJ Controllers to my Harbinger MLS1000's. I hope this answers your question. My video explaination video link: ruclips.net/video/gRYhZ3hT0zc/видео.html
I'm not sure. I just know that I'm happy to find a descent quality column array speaker that is more budget friendly for smaller events, even though the sound isn't as crisp as my EV ELX's or the more pricier speakers. Also, I want to say the lower price may be because it doesn't have an accompanying mobile app to control the speaker remotely or a fancy digital display screen with a bunch of presets.
You Don't leave the switch on Mic when plugging in a controller YOU MUST switch it to LINE Input or you risk damaging the speaker.
Great unbiased video. Just ordered a pair for myself.

I wonder why they are so cheap compared to the competition, JBL, BOSE ETC. ?
