This is an absolutely beautiful expression of this song. I have been moved to tears. These voices and instrumentation communicates the message so very well.
Always love it when Sara Grooves features with Artists I like......Enjoyed this, I Believe in the Kingdom coming, That's what i am looking For...........Thumbs up to the Virtual Choir too and may we all find It...Amen
I actually thought the beginning of this song was a mother/daughter duet and I started getting all teary but then I realised it wasn't at all! Hahaha! This was incredibly beautiful.
Incredible. The live version was already good but this is awesome. Absolutely beautiful!!! Thank you Jenny and Tyler!! This is a Wonderful Amazing Cover Mega Geil Gänsehaut!
I've always thought it strange that after the christocentric lyrics of the last verse, the chorus remains the same rather than being something like, "no I've finally found what I've been looking for." To end the song in despair seems like Christ is yet another empty promise leaving us searching.
I hear you, but it really depends on how you look at it Ed. To us, it's more appropriate to keep the chorus as it's written, because even though we've tasted goodness and beauty, true life in and through Jesus, we've not arrived yet, that is, we are not perfect - and we've not experienced perfection. I think Paul would agree in Philippians 1:23 and 1 Corinthians 13:12; we see dimly, as in a mirror. One day we shall we face to face. That is arguably what we're all looking for, to be with God, unhindered.
jennyandtylermusic Thanks for your gracious response. The already and not yet eschatology is surely present. As sojourners we do yearn to be present with the Lord Jesus and must realize we live in between what he has accomplished and what he will fully accomplish upon his return. Our family sat beneath a makeshift tent of sheets over chairs tonight during family worship singing along with your Psalm 46. Grateful for your ministry.
"God, you have made us for yourself, and our hearts are restless till they find their rest in you." St Augustine Yes, in this life we can start to rest in Christ, but as our understanding of him is increased, our love for him increases as well, and as in any love there is an infinite desire to rest totally in whom we love. Maybe, even eternity will not be enough to love him.
The instrumentation was great and I believe the singer has a lot of potential. However it saddens me to see a great vocalist(s) hiding behind a high level of pitch correction:/ This piece will invoke a much stronger emotion if the pitch correction speed is slowed sown and also lets more natural errors through the net. Overall, this looks like this video was professionally made! Good job!
+DirtMerchant LC These are actual recording artists, not wannabes. Sara Groves has been in the music industry for nearly 20 years, and is my all-time favorite ever.
Lovely version. Kudos to Sarah Groves etc but.......I've got to ask......how can you say "I still haven't found..." after that last extra verse which points to the One everyone is looking for (whether they know it or not). THAT is the disappointment for me. He IS the one we are looking for. If you have not found him, then keep singing about not finding, by all means...... It seems a wasted opportunity to have pointed to what U2 could not.
I appreciate that question. We can still say "I still haven't found what I'm looking for" because we, indeed all creation (see Romans 8:22), groan for all things to be made new by Jesus. We long for the new heavens and the new earth when God will dwell with his people. See Revelation 21-22!
But I have found what I am looking for, which is "I still haven't found what I'm looking for".
This reminds me how much I like these musicians. One eyed is still the most romantic song ever btw
well gee wiz. thank you :)
A divine sound. You live when you sing. How many times I've listened. From Russia with love.
such kind words! thank you very much!!! with love from Nashville

I like the end. Too much Christian music is platitudinous. Aren't we all still yearning for Christ, groping for Him?
Thanks for putting this up guys. It was worth the wait.

I think it expresses Hebrews 13:14 "For here we do not have a lasting city, but we are seeking the city which is to come."

+Laura Wise Looks like I need to work on my musical history lol. However I feel my opinion on the use of pitch correction is still valid.
JENNY I MISS UR FACE
