I don't tattoo, but I'm learning to paint flash for fun. Your videos are by far the best learning tools I've come across. Thank you so much for your time and effort.
Thank you man! Yeah I’ve heard that speedballs are a lot different than the Leonardt that I’m using but can’t be purchased in store here in Sweden. Waiting on a delivery from the States and should arrive any day. Love your work btw.
@@SoberjoeSe yeah, the ink flows way better specially if you are using talens or windsor & newton ink, but you have to keep the very clean when you finish to use, ive bought just 3 sets of them over 10 years, trying other brands but its just not the same
I’ve been working on painting flash now for a little while. Coming from working mostly digital, (mainly because of ease of access) i really struggle with small imperfections in my pieces. One minor mistake that would probably be overlooked by someone else is enough for me to scrap my entire painting. Are there any tips you can give regarding perfectionism or embracing imperfections?
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner Kelly. As an artist we're always haunted by perfectionism. Instead of throwing the painting away, make sure to finish it and then study the parts you don't like. This way you hopefully will make it better the next time.
Just wondering to Sob Joe and you guys that comment, what is your preference for the stain ?? I've been using tea, & learning to mix my paint.. but this just looks great, I dig that tan color... so, just thought I would ask for some opinions and tips maybe...✌

Mate, I just would like to say that you are a great inspiration. Thanks a lot.
Thank you! 🙏🏻 it means a lot.
Beautiful
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Excited to take part. Is it ok if I roughly copy your layout? with the flowers and stuff
No problem man! I use old flash as reference when drawing. Remember, nothing new under the sun. 👍🏻
Sick work as always! Might get this done between inktober subs 🤣
Thank you! Consider it done then! 🤣🔥
If you use the cartooning set from speedball you can trace way easier than that, just saying
