Chris Cornell is really just all over the board, he can hit some low notes, and he can sing some insanely high notes as well... We lost a great artist on that day. He will not be forgotten! Rest in Peace to the late... The Great Chris Cornell.

In my younger years, I was struggling with addiction and had the opportunity to talk with Brent for a bit. The words that Brent spoke were nothing but pure and I genuinely feel like he played a big part in me accepting change and getting the help I needed. I have a feeling Chris was to Brent what Brent is to me, if that makes sense. Both incredible people with so much to offer to the world. I'm so grateful we have so much incredible music from Chris to remember him by and I'm so grateful we're still receiving absolute masterpieces from Brent to this day.

The passing of Chris Cornell really hit me hard. See, I met the man once (many years ago). It was at a house party in Seattle and we talked for a few moments, nothing really memorable in the conversation but Chris was magnetic, charismatic, and most importantly… himself. I miss hearing that splendid voice wailing out notes I couldn’t even try.

Chris Cornell is my favorite voacalist/artist ever. And to this day, I've still not grieved his death as I thought i would because it still does't feel real because he passed at the age I'm almost at I first heard Chris when I was 17. Soundgarden and Chris changed me, my view on music and helped inspire me to pursue playing music even if im not good.

I remember watching the original full interview and this is the part that stuck out for me as a massive Chris Cornell fan, with Brent describing perfectly what all of us lost in his passing and how his art affected us. I shed a tear again watching how emotional Brent was as he described the importance of Chris to him, just like I did when watching the full interview.

I saw CC 2 yrs b4 his passing at the Uptown theater in Napa, California solo. He was amazing!!! He had an energy around him that was bright & beautiful! I along with everyone else there was mesmerized from his 1st note! He was kind, funny, gracious, humble & a master at singing, writing & composing!! He performed 2 & a half hours without a break & would have continued if not for a city ordinance about noise. I left that theater & was different & CCs passing affected me deeply. Like no other! Love from the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains!

It was after a show and I was lucky enough to get a moment to talk to Brent and I was one of those people who got to tell him, the band, the music they created and the message they tell saved me and then told them all thank you. He immediately got out of his seat, came and gave me a hug and thanked me for sharing and was genuinely appreciative of hearing that and of me being a fan. Music is the most important thing in the world. It is truly the only thing I have ever seen bring people of all faiths, colors, backgrounds together and all of the worlds problems just disappear for that evening and we are all just one big family. There is truly nothing else that can do that.

I had the honor of my band opening for Shinedown back in 2004 at Lost Horizon in Syracuse, NY. I briefly talked to Brent after our soundcheck, tbh he seemed a little out of it and I couldn't understand much of what he said. I met the guitarist at the time after the show, can't remember his name, but I don't think he's the current one. He was kind of a dick. Long story short, the girl he was chatting up at the bar went home with me. LOL
When they finally went on, Brent OWNED that fucking stage. I had never seen anything like it at the time. Raw perfection. I still can't believe I was able to share the same stage. It was fucking amazing.

His expeditous divorce to Susan Silver and the fact that has widow and Chester's are SISTERS. Its almost like they had them killed. And if you have been following the episodic drip feed updates for previous unreleased content he made being gate kept by his widow from the band. @@chrishansel95 Accomplishments don't mean happiness. Also I cannot find any proof of what you say about Vicky Cornell having any relation to Chester's wife and even if they were why, precisely, would they have their husbands killed? Not everything is about money. And even if they did kill them "for money"... why? Chris would continue to make music and thus make more money for their family. Chester the same. And if they are so masterful at hiding both of their deaths as suicides, logically they'd be able to realise that it would be more profitable to keep their incredibly talented and rich husbands alive.
Also "not allowing recorded songs to be released because of royalties" isn't evidence of murder.

Elizabeth, I know you have not been aware of Chris Cornell for that long but he has dozens and dozens of great songs from all 3 of his bands and his solo stuff also. You have not done any of his solo songs yet. Try Sunshower, Seasons, Dead Wishes and When I’m Down.

Since he just passed today, I'd love for you to breakdown The Pogues' Fairytale of New York for a video.

about this idea that the most talented people often get taken the youngest, Nietzsche noted that talent could be a vampire. I think it's something to do with the fact that broken people get, need, crave validation from adoring audiences, so they really give their all. but there's a physical cost to that that accumulates over the years, and self-medication is the only way to keep going. Dolores O'Riordan and Tom Petty and Stevie Ray Vaughan spring to mind.

I don't think the artistry stems from unhealthy craving. Not that kind of tremendous artistry. It's an unfair characterization, I think, to say it's a "craving." That is easily spotrable with way too many pop artists working within a machinery and not having their own identity, you know? I don't think that applies to the examples you gave.

Stevie was clean and died in a helicopter crash. Your description paints a pretty broad brush.

I recommend Linkin Park - QWERTY (2006 live version), it's one of the best Chester's technique demonstrations

You need to review Tremoni's previous band Creed as they are about to tour in 2024. You should review Higher from the Human Clay album.

You should really check out twenty one pilots! The lead singer, Tyler Joseph, has an angelic voice and his lyrics are like demonizing. All songs are amazing but to start off I would recommend "Trees" or "Ride" !
