    I want BF5 to be less casual. BF4 and especially hardline made the game soooo casual, almost like they were trying to steal some of COD's player base by slowly and easily introducing them to BF.
    In BF5 I want:
    - Harder to control weapons
    - Slightly shorter time to kill
    - More stealth (decreased spotting, no UAVs, ghillie suits on snipers)
    - 3-4 solid game modes. Conquest, Rush, TDM and something else all well balanced.
    - Less game bloat in general
    - Vehicle buff (so many gadgets that could take out vehicles in BF4 that you didn't really fear them when you came across them as an infantry player)
    - WW2
    - Dinosaurs :D

      +Lewigicfc99 Also the unlock system was a grindfest...BF Hardline has a much better unlock system, I'd like smth where once you unlock an item(e.g. acog, supressor) you can use it on any weapon it affords said rail for it.
      Getting a lot of kills for the same attachment on every weapon is silly.

      How about a new game and not always that nostalgia-shitfest? I loved Bf2 and BfBc2 but I don't want DICE to rework it. They were great games, but they belong to the past. I want a new, fresh game with fresh content. I want a new, good game that is fun to play and that is as good as BfBc2, but I don't want to stick to reworked games of the past.

      +Nevsack63 Indeed, the player acceleration gimped the snipers (not because of the actual movement solely, but because the animations weren't designed for them, making them wonky). Generally a slower acceleration should be implemented, as long as top speed stays roughly the same.

    Bf4 has a special place in my heart. I remember the beta and freaking out. I had never played a previous BF and I was amazed by this. I remember my first knife kill on dawn breaker. I remember my game always freezing and I thought it was broken. I remember having a .62 kd because I went knife only for months. I remember now being at 1,847 knife kills (which for some is nothing at all but everyone I know is at like 16 knife kills) and bragging about how this is the only way I'm beating lvl cap. Shit I used the knife way too much. Still great game and I love you battlefield. There is so much more to say but I can't say it all. We will see you when you become bf5. Don't let us down. We love you

    Getting killed with artillery and other things is war, buddy. You're trying to promote the sterilization of the series, something a lot of shooters have been doing for the past 3 years. All these options to kill an enemy other than the "run around, point gun, shoot at man, kill man, die, repeat", are what make Battlefield and other sandbox multiplayer games so stimulating, a lot of tactical diversity. If I wanted to play a dumbed-down, 3-hallway point and click low TTK game I'd blow $60 on CoD.

      And cannot spot after a certain distance unless looking through a highly magnified scope. There's nothing worse than being spotted all the way across spawns on Golmud when you're trying to long range snipe.

      +Henry Vasquez I kind of like the idea that only the recon class can spot. I think a nice balance would be that the recon can spot anything, and any other soldier's spotting ability is limited to vehicles, gadgets and so forth (so basically everything except other soldiers)

    How to improve next #Battlefield over previous:
    1. Abolish 3D spotting. With it, as #LevelCapGaming mentioned, camoflauge and stealth gameplay is useless. Or at least make it something like Rainbow 6 Siege - that dot shows only last position of nearby enemy or make it exclusive only to Recon class.
    2. Spread out objectives, less clusterfuck. And please for god sake no "Metro/Locker" style maps. If so, then don't make them linear. For exmaple, take Metro map, add street level on top of it that would look similar to Seine Crossing.
    3. More classes, no more super-universal soldiers. Divide Assault class into Assault and Medic or Heavy Infantry and Light Infantry. Engineer into Engineer and Anti-Tank. Look up BF2 kit system.
    4. No more full health regeneration. If your HP is more than 75 and less than 100, then your health regenerates to 100, if your health is below 75 and above 50, then health regenerates to 50... etc.
    5. More recoil, less random deviation at least for PC version, so that switching to single fire mode would be more useful.
    6. Stronger vehicles but with limited ammo (just like in classic BF games) and without regenerating armor, especially this means for air vehicles. Vehicles should return to base or nearby capturable outpost, that has repair station. Helicopters for repair/resupply should return to landing pad. Jets should fly over slowly over airfield couple times to fully repaird and rearm. Add unlocks for light transport and transprot chopper (buggies, humvee types of vehicles) such as dropable supply crates.
    7. Return 6 man squads with chain of command and teamwork system like in BF2 and 2142.
    8. Many other things, but what I want to tell DICE is: Quality over quantity, gameplay over graphics.

Like how LC said with the 500 indirect-fire methods and crap, its just unnecessary.Its too fast and cluttered, teamwork is not rewarded or even really encouraged, maps are terrible, vehicles are worthless, etc.I hate BF4, I think maybe even more than Hardline.

      +Jørn Haugum Interesting class idea. I would add then proper decoy gadget for Snipers (military dummy counterfeiting user's class, deployable on the prone position). So new Sniper and Specialist would be then:
      Sniper: SR/DMR + Ghillie suit?
      G1: PLD
      G2: Claymore/ Decoy
      Specialist: Suppressed carbines + Counterfeited camouflage?
      G1: C4
      G2: Motion sensor/ RF Jammer
      Engineers would give up C4s and thus sabotaging mission. No twofold assignment.

      Eruption Disruption Also factions (eg usa and russia) would use weapons tha ttheir armed forces normally wield, but the specialist could then also use the enemies weapons(Like they normally would do in covert ops). The commander could have an ability to expose covert ops wich would disable the camo for the soldiers.

    I would like the virtual verbal communication to be further expanded, so that spotting can lead to a more descriptive and perhaps even contextual dialogue to help you look in the right direction. Having the player character shouting 'on the roof!' or 'by the tractor!' would indicate to the player what direction to look in without having a lighbulb pop up over the enemies head. Using and promoting effective communication is a key feature of the battlefield franchise. If they intend to set the next battlefield in WWII then I'd imagine a fluid and descriptive dialogue system would result in a more immersive experience than pings on a minimap. If someone is spotted you should be able to hear who, how many, what distance, nearest object. There should be a command for help and warn, recon should be verbally prompted to do recon, as in 'what's going on, recon?' or 'where's that coming from?!'. Part of the game mechanic could be maintaining radio communications or being restricted to the information available within earshot. Perhaps at some point there's a zone you need to avoid because it's going to be bombed and you need your radio so you know where not to go.
    If we are expecting a WWII Battlefield I'd like to feel that it is a stripped back and more immersive experience that takes minimal artistic licence over the tools available and the conditions met at the time. Ultimately talking on a headset with your squad will usually lead to more effective teamwork but stepping up the level or information coming through Dice's excellent audio processing would lead to a more realistic experience that looking out for red triangles. The defibrillator wasn't portable until 1959.
    I'm trying to imagine how the press are going to feel about your ranking up your nazi soldier to ss level and unlocking that hat with the skulls and swastikas on and I'm pretty sure Germany (Lovely people by the way), has a thing about all that nazi stuff being published and distributed but I'm not a lawyer, I'm sure they've got a strategy.
    Personally I'm in my 30's and my only memory of a WWII is through war films and what old people told me about it when I was growing up, as far as I can figure out if you found yourself on the front line in the wrong battle you were pretty surely fucked.
    I don't know how this would work but how about arms and legs being injured to effect the players ability to shoot and walk, rather than just counting as hitboxes you could force a player to switch to a one handed weapon by taking out his arm.
    And because it's 2016...for some reason that's a reason, they'd better put a playable female character in the multiplayer, not because it's historically accurate but because the feminists will cry if you don't - and that's if they don't start calling you all nazis before the alpha phase of testing.
    But yeah, whatever political hoops Dice has to jump through I'd like to see less and feel more. If immersion counts we don't need on screen prompts and that should be the standard for everyone. It will probably mean a bit of a change up to the class system. I'd imagine something along the lines of Comms, Medic, Support, Artillery. ..etc, all the usual stuff you might think of, then I started wondering if just having lots of customisation slots with bonuses for sharing items with your squad would be a better system than just all showing up as support and putting claymores down.
    What if carrying gear effected mobility, what if some fixed weapons needed to reloaded by a team, making it slow to fire alone - how would you coordinate people's efforts and reward team play? In a nutshell, as I've gone on for too long - "How do Dice take away artificial feeling information and replace it with a realistic and practical flow of information that enhances gameplay and immersion." Discuss.

      It's not really supposed to be realistic... It's not supposed to be sci fi either, but this game was not intended to be a military simulator like arma or something.
      The TTK for example is way to high in battlefield to be realistic.

      The mortar is the best indirect fire and I would be upset if they removed it. While I don't use it often it's a nice tool to get rid of knots of enemies in fortified positions. The mortar is easily countered with the MAV (or another mortar) but people don't want to adapt their play style to counter it.

    How about realistic bullet penetration based on how big a round is and what it's grain is? I'm pretty sure 7.62 go through galvanise and .338 can go through most thin walls and vehicles

    Server browser lets you know what your getting into, just do official servers or set private with the standard rule sets, think you know that after several years

    1) Direct communication between crew of same vehicle is necessary no matter they are in different squads.
    2) Pilots must not use helis and planes as a taxi to get top of the buildings. Pilots must have only PDW when they leave vehicle, NO sniper rifles.
    3) Improve scoring system to promote PTFO game

    You know you can view server settings before you join one, right? It's just lazy to say you don't know what kind of server you're going to join and it's your own fault if you join a 64 player Rush server.

      Yeah but still, a lot of ranked servers have some sort of rule changes. Either ticket count change, respawn rate, vehicle respawn rate, etc. I'm sure you've seen it. I agree with him, that stuff should stay in Unranked. Every other competitive shooter keeps standard game modes in ranked and custom game modes in Unranked, and they do this for a good reason.

    On regards to server settings: So you want to finish what BF3 and BF4 started when they got rid of mod tools. Servers almost always state these variations on the rules in their names. The only modes I even play anymore are high-ticket ticket servers, no explosives Metro/Locker (cos, let's be honest here, metro/locker just turn into indirect fire spam without that rule.

    the problem will be that the maps will be bad. gameplay can be ruined without very good maps. bf4 infantry maps were awful. excessive "verticality" was horrible for it. too many open lanes.

    Better physics and damage models for vehicles. Bullet penetration, more detailed explosion effects (FRAG, HEAT, AP should perform differently), Shrapnel(?), Detracked vehicles, blown out modules. Tanks are too arcadey, they are just moving gun boxes atm, Working ERA would be great. I guess I want too much realism for an arcade game, but it's a growing trend.
    Bullet drop and realistic travel time would be great for all weapons. You shouldn't be able to snipe a guy from 400m away with an SMG in 9mm. Or maybe add wind effects to projectiles

    They should just give the recon class the mortar strike call in back from BC2 and have no other indirect weapons? Also, they REALLY need to slow the pace of the game down. Going from BC2 to BF3 to BF4 to BF Hardline, the pace of the game has skyrocketed. The game as a whole has been made to twitchy and snappy like that of CoD and it just doesn't allow for tactical gameplay anymore. I remember playing BC2 and because it had a slower pace, I was able to coordinated better with my squad, like forming up on a house and clearing it or luring a tank into a trap or whatever. Now its just people rushing through rooms and what not and it promotes camping.

    Couple changes would be nice like, no jumping (bunny snipers) rather a vault mechanic. Slower movement speed, also mag reloading (no more magic bullets going into stock pile)

    I heard a rumour somewhere that battlefield 5 is going to be set in World War I. Now I don't know if that's true, but if that happens, don't most of the problems with Battlefield 4 gameplay get like automatically solved? Like artillery was in fact widely used in WW1, so shouldn't that solve the problem?

      ***** it was a great game if you didn't take it to serious. We had a great group of lads used to play and have a ball. It's like losing a bunch of mates lol. (A lighthearted note for all the trolls). Dice say they don't know what to do in a BC3. They don't know what players liked about it. Simple- it had nothing in common with COD. It involved proper strategic gameplay with each member choosing different class. Not a fast paced run n gun. Just like the BF games before hand. I can't comment on BF4 as i gave the game to my nephew after 60 hours playing time.

    Indirect fire only works if you know where the enemy is so it is a symptom of the spotting system being OP. If you had stealth then indirect fire would be less of a problem. Plus indirect fire requires good positioning and tactics if you don't have infinite ammo. Just make sure nothing has infinite ammo.
    I have to disagree with level cap about indirect weapons fire for these reasons as they are a good way to remove camping and force your opponent to make a move.

    Lets drop the weapon unlock system that requires me to unlock 6 guns I don't want before I can get the 1 gun I do want and same with the attachment system. Let me earn points to spend only on things I want. Lets drop or tone down the scope glint which is like a beacon in even a dark room. Only the recon should be able to place a spot triangle directly on a player, and it should be significantly higher than the player so I can't get a headshot shooting at the triangle. When a non recon spots a player, instead of putting a triangle, an area of the mini map should have a bright round border around it so other players can still know that an enemy presence is in that area but half a dozen people cant just shoot at a floating triangle unless spotted by a recon. Or just have the triangle appear only on the minimap if spotted by a non recon.

    Server experience: I have never found differing server settings to be an issue when playing. There should be MORE custom server configs as far as I'm concerned. How about low gravity? Speed running? More fire. More smoke. Slippery ground. High jumps, etc...

      actually you can spot in hardcore they will show up on the minimap if your using the artillery truck or a mortar. youll get the 25 point spot bonus if they get killed a little after you spot them. you just dont see the marker since its hardcore

    MY LIST OF MY OWN PERSONAL THOUGHTS AND SOME THINGS I SAW IN OTHER COMMENTS
    - Remove the defense perk
    - Reserve 3d spotting for Recon
    - More in depth customization
    - Better variety in attachments. Don't like having 2-3 attachments that do the same thing
    - Harder gun control. Gives more incentive to use guns designated to a certain range, like picking a DMR over the SAR-21
    - Proper bullet penetration
    - C4 buff. I don't know why they were nerfed so hard
    - Ghillie suits for snipers that either:
    > *Grant immunity to spotting*
    > *Remove glare when ADS*
    > *Or Remove themselves off the killcam so that their kill isn't staring at them after they die* - This makes bipods useful
    - Removing visual recoil
    - Slightly increased TTK
    - More power to admins custom servers. Maybe Ability to ban certain guns/gadgets/vehicles and affect health and such
    - Universal PDW's
    - More useful gadgets.
    - Bonuses for using weapons aligned with your team. Maybe extra XP for using Chinese weapons on a Chinese team or something
    - Declining a Revival or dying before accepting should not reset your respawn time
    - Being able to join Squad Join squads (With their option to disable this). Can't stand being a one man squad but the other 6 are private
    - Slight animation for getting out of vehicles
    - Maybe at least one sniper with ability to one shot at point blank (~5m) range
    - A sort of Veteran system where, instead of restarting your levels once you max out, you complete challenges to increase your Veteran Rank.
    - Have Sprinting for long periods of time make it harder for snipers to hold their breath
    - Ability to view the combat records of everyone in the lobby

      Well to me it is a game changer... :/ so many times I've gotten kills I shouldn't have just because someones character shouted out stupid shit I turned a corner and popped them in the face. Granted maps like operation locker or metro it's not as apparent because everyones on a main push in one direction but more open maps with random buildings and hills it's stupid op.

    The 3d spotting system is one of my favorite features of BF4. I don't feel having players camouflaged adds anything to the game besides frustration. In fact, I think taking out 3d spotting reduces the skill gap overall, since you don't have to be as careful to stay behind cover, and gives fewer chances for players with superior aim to have an advantage. (There just isn't as much of a skill gradient when it comes to target recognition as there is aiming)

    HERE IS WHAT PEOPLE SHOULD WANT FOR THE NEXT GAME-
    (This is going to be a BIG LIST, but just read)
    my
    BATTLEFIELD 5 IDEAS:
    For a modern or future setting-
    (Multiplayer only)
    . PLENTY OF COUNTRIES (teams) INVOLVED-
    Allowing more vehicles, weapons, maps and soldier appearance.
    . A SMALL ANIMATION TO GETTING IN AND OUT OF A VEHICLE - This would be more realistic and also give a chance to stop someone getting away.
    . ADD A SLING TO PRIMARY RIFLES -
    This is how guns are swappable when carrying multiple; the sling (strap) hangs over the shoulder.
    . MORE SOLDIER CUSTOMISATION -
    Still limit the ability to customise but have more features, like headgear and skin colour etc.
    . HEADGEAR (CUSTOMISATION)-
    Combat glasses (seen on BF4 medic) can have a use in the game where if equipped you will have less visual effects while heading into suppression, sandstorm or sun light but when weather such as snow, rain or mist is around, your vision wouldn't be as clear (due to rain drops etc.) this would allow a balanced use.
    . MORE VISUAL EFFECTS -
    For extra realism. When getting shot have: quick decrease in colour, areas of blurred vision, decrease light exposure. Get rid of the blood on the player screen; use real visual effects instead. Etc...
    . ADD MORE ANIMATION -
    There should be more adaptive movement. When in a building (CQ range) for example.
    . MORE PLAYER INTERACTION TO TERRAIN -
    Simulate slipping when sprinting on ice or rocky environment and also if shot at the legs.
    . PLAYER CAMERA ADJUSTABILITY- -
    Bad company 1 was too zoomed in for normal eyes, BF3/4 was ok. Add in settings that adjust how close you want to see your gun to your face and how close your face should be to the steering wheel (for example).
    . A NEW RANKING SYSTEM -
    It's time to get away from the old ways of ranking. Instead have where completing challenges and certain time played along with points is needed to earn your next rank.
    . VEHICLE TRAINING/RANKS- -
    You should be a certain rank to operate a certain vehicle- example: reach level 5 in piloting before flying a Chinook on a live match.
    . SPRINTING SPEED -
    In BF4 the every one is always running. Slow down the sprint speed/ acceleration and have some sort of health (energy) effects.
    . SPRINTING PHYSICS -
    Deceleration and acceleration shouldn't be instant.
    . HEALTH -
    Your soldier's health should have- beats per minute (BPM); this would make more sense. You wouldn't want it to be too high or too low. (People running with 1% or +1 health doesn't make sense).
    . AMERICANS-
    They don't have to be the main military on the game.
    Have something different for once or have a variety of countries.
    . GAME MAPS -
    Have 4 night maps, 4 day time maps, 4 dusk and 4 dawn; each 4 of the 4 types of maps has 4 types of weather conditions (all for example).
    . SERVERS -
    Having fan made servers is cool but when you find 20/24 servers that only contain 1 map or gamemode with a nasty admin, you have no where to go...
    . ANTI HACKER -
    Create a better security system against hackers.
    . VEHICLE REPAIR -
    When your repair tools are out, highlight specific areas of the vehicle where repaires should apply.
    . CHARACTER VOICE CUSTOMISATION -
    Have a list of voice types, accents etc you can choose what your soldier could sound like when he or she shouts "medic!" (for example).
    . SOLDIER CLASS APPEARANCE-
    Similar to BF3, the equipment carried in each class should appear on the soldiers outfit.
    . BACKPACKS/SIZES-
    Depending on your equipment size or amount, each soldier should have a particular bag sizes depending on the equipment carried.
    . VEHICLE AMMUNITION -
    Make a sensible ammunition limit for each fighting vehicle. This would also stop tanks and helicopters from staying out too long and could make players play more tactically. When the vehicle runs out of ammunition they have to go back to base where they will automatically refill.
    . TRANSPORT VEHICLES AND AMMUNITION TRUCKS -
    Infantry should be able to get ammo from military trucks (Humvee or MRAP). Tanks could also refill ammo from ammunition trucks or have an MRAP (example) be an ammunition truck.
    . BETTER GAME MODES -
    More tactical and complex gamemodes.
    . CAMOUFLAGE -
    Default camouflage should automatically be adapted to the map environment for your soldier.
    . HIGH MAGNIFICATION SCOPES-
    You should be able to see a little bit of the outside of the scope, in other words your eye shouldn't be touching the scope. Vision outside the scope shouldn't be magnified as well.
    . ENEMY SPOTTING -
    The marker that shows where the enemy is should only be present for around 2 seconds. Recon class could have the ability to keep the enemy marker present for longer.
    . SQUAD LEADER (EXTRA ABILITY)-
    You should be able to mark out roots for flanking points for your squad using your map.

    If you make community servers unranked no one will be playing there. Take more time to think about this ridiculous suggestion. Also core gameplay rules doesn't give you nice options. You will be missing bolt only, pistol only servers a lot.

    3D spotting just needs to not also give 2D on the map... 2D should only come from giving yourself away (shooting a non stealth weapon), a gadget is tracking you, or if an enemy player is looking at you.

      Sometimes what I do is after I get a kill I run away for a few seconds as a way of saying to the person I just killed hey I'm going this way now. Then I just go back to where I was and hope they figured I moved somewhere else.

    Battlefield ended for me at Bad Co 2. I did play BF3 and 4 but after 1942 and 2 it's just gone downhill slowly. I still remember using the hell out of my M1 Garand in Bad Co 2 + Vietnam and it's a memory I miss so much.

    Here's my list:
    -Make soldier speed dependent on load out. For example, let soldiers decide how many magazines they want to carry and what gadgets they want to carry and balance the game accordingly. This would also encourage team play.
    -Allow players to customize their soldier down to the mag-pouch level. E.g. they could angle mag pouches for slightly faster reloads but carry fewer mags or have the mags vertical for slower reloads but more mags.
    -Make rush great again: instead of just having m-coms, perhaps have dynamic elements such as first blowing open the blast doors to a missile silo, then initiate fueling of an ICBM by controlling a control room, then finally blow up the ICBM by placing and detonating charges. Something like that. You could also try asymmetrical team sizes on rush such as 16 vs 48 where the 16 defenders have strong vantage points to shoot from but are constantly forced to fall back and it becomes a game of attrition to see if the defenders can where down the attackers tickets fast enough.
    -Make vehicles stronger BUT make them return to base to reload and refuel to prevent them from being a constant menace.
    -Make objective and team play count for more points than just kills.
    -Experiment with higher player counts and larger maps with more lanes
    -Keep game modes to Conquest, Rush, TDM, and Gun Master. Make chain link part of conquest map rotation (map specific)
    -Map suggestions:
    --Rush
    ---A cargo ship rolling at sea. The attackers either fast rope or board via a RHIB
    ---A skyscraper where the attackers can use elevators, stairs, repel, or use a transport helicopter
    ---A dam complex where the attackers have to base jump prior to the dam blowing up
    ---A mountain side radio installation with heavy tree cover
    ---A subway where the attackers gain access to a biological weapon placed near a water supply by gaining control of trains to move between sections of the subway. Metro 3.0
    --Conquest
    ---Gulf of Oman but make all of the objectives an island for both teams to balance things out
    ---Damavand Peak but give it two tunnels
    ---Siene Crossing but make it symmetrical

    They need more teamwork. I get into games and no one drops medpacks, and ammo. Also no one can repair your vehicle when you have time and you're not an engineer. They should make a lot of XP gain towards teamwork and playing the objective. My opinion but feel free to comment down what you want.

      +GenProGaming do you know how difficult it is to use the remote control to message someone? all the servers would be idle because people are spending 5 minutes typing out "hello".
      but there's also those keyboards you buy out at walmart or whatever, but who's gonna spend that extra cash or not be lazy and actually buy one? :(

      ***** It's easy to plug a keyboard to the ps4 and have it on a small table in front of you or close by...
      Do you know many rounds I've lost because I couldn't type "DON'T SPAWN" to my teammates?
      We've had 4 or all 5 flags and the enemies have 10 tickets to go when some idiot decides to spawn...

    Lvl, they already have official server game presets on console. Official servers are only allowed to use the official game presets. The ranked servers had different setups, it then is upon the user to view the server setup and see if they wanted to join that. Not sure it that is an option for PC server rentals, but I would be surprised if it wasn't.

    I hated what they did in BF4 with the vehicle ammo. I'm sorry but a tank does not drive around with only 5 rounds, shoots them, then have to wait for the gunner to make more ammo or whatever, because it takes forever. what it should be is each vehicle, depending on its class, whether tank, APC, or just the jeep with a 50 cal, should have a set amount of ammo. Like tanks have 25-50 rounds on board when you spawn, once they are used up you either have to drive back to the spawn to rearm or to possible ammo dumps at only certain objectives. Also, if another play enters your tank after you dismount it doesn't rearm, it has the amount you left it with. That would make it more realistic.

    Dear LevelCap,
    I appreciate the point you're making about indirect fire in the battlefield games and how it drastically effects the pace of gameplay however I feel in the 'Battlefield' titles emphasis on the game being a battlefield and not simply another shooter has been a design philosophy dice has always strived to implement in their games. From 1942 onward artillery and indirect fire has always been a part of the game despite in some cases being poorly implemented in the opinion of players. I think it's important for battlefield to have these elements that break up the shooting on the ground because it's 'Battlefield' not a shooter, it has strong shooter mechanics and they're the driving element of the game but it's these indirect fire and asymmetrical battles which serve to make Battlefield the game it is. If you start dumbing down other elements of the game to streamline the shooter experience I feel you're compromising the integrity of the core gameplay which is supposed to be different from that of call of duty or a tom clancy game.

    I haven't played the BF games for while now but seems to me a spotting cool-down would be sensible, if you hit q and there isn't somebody in your cross-hairs then you can't spot for another 10 seconds or so. This would still enable you to spot groups of people but prevent spot spamming. I hope I've understood the BF4 mechanic.

    remove minimap from hud and apply it like a gadget for squad leaders. dedicated players and leaders can use map for tactics and orientation. anyone can spot for squad but only snipers can use a specific tool for team spotting. chance to spot reduced by percentage if player utilizes a camo that corresponds with the foliage on the map.

    3D spotting: Play Hardcore
    Unified play experience: I like variety. Find servers that say "No stupid rules"
    Achievements and assignments: I like playing with a mission. Keeps me coming back. Ribbons, dogtags, weapon unlocks, give me it all. Some friends don't care and use the same gun the same way because it works. And that great for them.

    Rush 32 is very boring. Rush 64 is much better, with banned indirect weapons. Rush maps could be easily designed from ground up for 64, give one logical reason why they need to be designed for 32? Rush 64 server I'm founder/admin of was not too recently most popular Rush server in the world, according to Gametracker. ALL Rush servers included, not just 64. It's just about how you set the rules.. We have UCAV, Mortar + SUAV banned, also rockets, M320 and XM25 in Locker/Metro, to reduce the spam. Maps could be better suited for 64, but fact is people like 64 player servers. And claiming Rush 64 doesn't require skill, is just plain BS. If they remove the chance to play Rush 64, I probably won't even buy it.

      RedMonkey Rush 64, second from top by the time I wrote this. And as you can see, all the most popular servers with "Rush" in their name are 64 player servers. DICE needs to develop Rush in next game for A) 64 players from ground up B) For Rush, from the ground up. Not slices of Conquest map, stringed together and random M-Coms thrown in. Rush isn't popular in BF4 in general, mainly due to poor map design

    BF2 style commander, bf2 style map objectives like artillery and UAV stations, BF2 multi-man vehicles, BF2 end of game scoreboard with the best medic, best recon etc, less weapons but better balanced... basically bf2 on frostbite.

    They should Combine Wake Island with Operation Metro.
    Think about it. You know how you get camped at the Metro B flag? Make that staircase an ocean and you can swim up so bombs don't hurt and boom, B flag. Then once you get out by the A flag, it's Wake Island!
