Been there done that with the power supply for the laptop... Can't leave it at the site (shared site) but it's now part of my permanent loadout in my vehicle.
Over 12 years I am much better about packing stuff but it is still great to have certain tools just there and ready to go. I once had to drive back home to grab one because my battery died.
@@TVJAY I've started using a system of crates. I have one crate that is all my common stuff, and then I have a crate for each site that I'll put equipment, or cables, or whatever needs to go to that site. Still working on that system, but we'll see how it plays out.
intermittent problems can drive you crazy at times. getting nocked off the air and filling out a report is not fun . You can monitor grid power and gen set . bigger stations do. I run my lap top different. no mouse. touch pad. but have extra USB C power cord. at the cite. My work room a mess . but rest of building pretty good. worst I done is a feed line arc over in a blizzard taking AM station off the air. got the old RCA transmitter online and back up feed line going. had to get a crew to do repair in western NY during a blizzard . one of the towers was struck with lightning took out one tower light as well. 2nd one down. a outher company does that . lot of calls and a very long few days. station was stuck on low power and array not able to switch . and top it off with one phase out from power company. what fun that year. was in 2000's . no transmitter damage. just the end of feed line ay tower coupling switching unit. I ben at FM station with separate HD transmitter that was done with a combiner at feed line. was a ad on . funny the back up is a tube one. no HD backup . My AM station HP DAY/NIGHT tube final. the RCA all tube. both water cooled . no digital AM yet.
We monitor the voltage via our Burk remote control. It sounds like you have a lot of experience, especially with tubes. I don't miss tubes that is for sure.
