@crewie94 last time cyborg was a relevant opponent was some in the late 70s. Long before the last of his legacy was ruined by Gordon making him look like a novice.
Haisan was nothing special in his last fight vs a 10th planet guy. The inexperience is visible in that match. Just cause he subbed cyborg once, doesn't make him a Gordon Ryan.
Ehhh...that loss was really just from Haisam's bad decision to do spiderweb instead of back control in the overtime rounds because he misunderstood how the OT scoring works. He thought he had it in the bag because he won 2 OT rounds in a row. So he went for submission in the 3rd OT round but he just didn't realize he could still lose on time at that point.
After the way Haisam did at the Fightpass Invitational against that Russian 10p dude that Big Dan smoked immediately, I doubt that he's going to win against Felipe. Felipe has a lazy and annoying style to watch in my opinion but he's beaten way better guys than Haisam. That being said, stylistically this is good for Haisam since Felipe's not a big leg lock guy. Pretty sure Felipe pulls and then complains about "not being able to hold" Haisam, eventually he'll sweep and maybe pass. Submission unlikely from Felipe's side unless Haisam can capitalize on a mistake. Imo Haisam's technical ability has not caught up with his athletic ability. Yet.
That Russian dude was no scrub, and big Dan's quick nasty knee bar was pretty slick. I think pena wins bc he has more paths to victory but I def think the odds are off. Haisam has a chance to end up on top and do enough to edge out a decision IMO
Haisam has the potential to be a world beater, or lose against guys he normally wouldnt necessarily lose to. WIll be an interesting matchup, i think people will be surprised of his performance vs Pena in a good way.
for all the physical capabilities Haisam has.. there's no reason he should be under-achieving with a record like the one he has. If I was felipe I'd be confident too
@@King-jq5vt yeah youre right about that tbh, it's one of the main differences between AJJ and BJJ. most brazilians have over 100+ contest wins then you got guys like Craig, Nicky Ryan, Nicky Rod, and Haisam that have less than 100 competitions. Even Gordon doesn't have 100 wins yet then look at Leandro Lo's record.

I would have loved to see Haisam train with Danaher first before joining the B-Team. If Haisam figures out leglocks in ways to avoid them and actually pull them off he'd be amazing. Lets see how much he improves by the end of the year.
Haisam seems nervous, this is a huge moment for him. I hope he feels good on the mat!
Me too, would be a great win for him
He seems to get in his head , he just has to go out and perform, that's it

In all fairness Haisam last notable win was against a thief trying to rob his car, he's losing to smaller oponents, fair game to Felipe.
I didn't know Cyborg had attempted to steal his car. Or does your memory only reach back the last 6 months?
@@crewie94 Cyborg win was almost a year ago if you take one year from today he's 2-7 and most of his opponents are smaller guys

Giraffe all day, every day. He's been an underdog before, his opponents have been confident before. I am confident in Haisam.
I don’t know how you can look past Haisam when you literally can not look past Haisam. Haisam takes it via RNC.
