I love how you are human , you also have two contradicting pieces of advice that i have been going back and forth on as welll this video makes it easier for me to pick which one brings about more progress in this season of my life .
One of the most in-depth, self reflection videos about the process of M&A - so good. Was cool to hear your reflections and think back to our transaction that took 20+ years to build, and some of the overlapping experiences we considered.
Mr. Alex! Your videos Have just recently been recommended to me and gosh! I want to think like you do when I grow up, haha. Thanks for documenting your journey and thoughts for us. This is pure gold!
thanks for the thorough breakdown Alex. Incredible that you could synthesize all the various frameworks to get to this decision, and loved hearing your candid thoughts, the 'non-hype' version of each and every one. Thanks and all the best to you as you move fwd with the future here!
Thank you so much for sharing all your knowledge over the last year or so. Your content is incredible. I've learned so much. I bought the hard copy of your book and am implementing changes in my offers. You're a Godsend to the business world. You truly are the ultimate Go Giver!!
*To all the dreamers out there, don't ever let the world's negativity disenchant you or your spirit. If you surround yourself with love and right people, ANYTHING is possible.* 🙏🖤
Alex not only arr you helping us by recalling all these lessons, but you are cementing them into your brain by actively recalling them yourself. This helps you learn from them just as much as it helps us to hear then. Thank you
Alex could you make a video talking about the first 6 months of opening your first gym. I’ve heard a lot about the ground sleeping but I’d love to hear your first hire, how you worked all aspects of the business and what you would’ve done different.
Man I know I've said thank you before but let me say it again... thank you Alex... The videos that have helped me the most (because of how I've been carrying myself) are the ones that talk about "the 3 parts of the ladder"... "taking immediate action" ... "taking high volume actions"... "why you don't visit your relatives in holidays" I guess that was 4 and not 3
This was definitely a big growing pain for me, but super valuable once I accepted it and stopped looking back at leaving a miserable but comfortable/ well paying job. Have now more headspace to learn and acquire skills in goals that will actually challenge me and bear more fruits than building that other guy's dream. However, I don't necessarily condone this for everyone. It can take a big mental toll on otherwise vulnerable personalities. Also, some people are definitely meant to be employed and are more fulfilled by that which is perfectly fine.
Hi! I have a well paid job that I hate, a wife and 3 kids that I love, and an e-commerce store on the side. My desire is to go all in on the e-commerce store and quit my job. This job is a huge drain of headspace and time. It is taking me years to make the e-commerce generate as much income as the job, because of the lack of time. So I would like to quit the job and go all in on the dream. But the job is a secure income. I'll have to use Alex's reasoning power to decide what to do 🙂
Hi @@andra9694 thank you for asking!🙂 I quit my job and offered marketing services as a freelancer. The goal was to earn the same as my job, but in less time. Now I work 3 days a week as a freelancer and earn the same as 5 days work in my previous job. So that freed up 2 days a week to work on the e-commerce store. Let's see what 2024 brings 🙂 And what about you, what is your story?😊
Hey could u make a video on how you managed your time on a daily/weekly basis managing multiple companies like how did you divide your focus? if that make sense.
I just wish I could of have an mentor whose as insightful as Alex. I’ve learned more from him in the past months than I’ve learned in my 30 years wow!! This is something you just don’t hear living in the hood
Thanks for the video, perceived sense of loss is real. But you never can truly fall all the way back down, you have the mindset, knowledge and relationships of a $100M/ year man. And no financial loss can take that away from you. God bless Alex, these videos are helping me in my own journey as I "do the boring shit" in my own business to take something that is doing 4-5 figures/ mo avg and make it 6 figures consistently. The money and growth is there I just have to be consistent and do what I know is right.
Great insights. But maybe a big frame of reference is when he said "My wife and I had $20m saved up at the age of 28". How many 28 year olds do you know have 9 digit net worths? The path to the first million or $5m is super interesting. Especially when he did it a such an early age.
Alex, I really appreciate all the advice you have provided! I have watched many of your videos. This is very valuable as an e-commerce business owner. Can you go into more detail about how bankers can over promise things? Also, can you provide more tips/strategies on how to make sure to get the highest amount of money for your business when I try to sell my business? You mentioned you went to multiple private equity firms and such
Alex, can you do a video on how to approach B2B for a new service business with no clients? (and pushing my luck- for a graphics/art agency). What would be your strategy, size of companies to approach, all that good stuff.
As a 33 year old running a small business I can honestly say this is mindset coaching worth paying for. Thank you for these free videos Alex
Agreed
Hey Alex, can you do a timeline of your life? I think it will be super insightful and inspiring!
Second that this would be awesome. All of the pieces are out their but having the story in one video would be amazing to watch
"draw my life"
He's already done it in his books
@Obe who said anything about comparing? He said insightful and inspiring. You need to update your mindset serious bro
Half the timeline will be him bragging about himself.
I love how you are human , you also have two contradicting pieces of advice that i have been going back and forth on as welll this video makes it easier for me to pick which one brings about more progress in this season of my life .
such a good breakdown
This mustache dude has so much gold. Please share more experience. Appreciate you sharing as well
You are the only creator I've found where 5 minutes in to a video, I put the speed back down to 1.0X and start from the beginning again.

Same feeling leaving a job that was mentally consuming - you see more once that block is removed

Great frameworks
You sir are a beast!
If you put audio foam on your walls in that office, your sound quality will drastically increase! :)
Still deciding what to eat for lunch. This is next level.
The "flu", I love it 😂
His guy has massive charisma
one of the dangers being a veteran sales person is that you can sell both sides of an argument to yourself
great vid, thank you
38 and looking at a mid 8 figure exit. But have nothing else lined up afterwards. Nervous for the future but want something bigger and better.

These videos r way better than the new edited dopamine ones
Love you man 💞
Thank you.
Can you make a video on what mistakes you make with your gym business when you were starting and how you would do it if you were to restart?
You are pretty smart
23:55 listen this part at least a few times.. 👀👀👍
I will be listening to you, way beyond your first billion. Believe that.
That sounds like Dr. Kashey Advice
U re like my super hero now hahahah Hope to make 6 figures soon
this is an amazing story and i'm not even halfway through
Petty point but - Elon as no big exit is a bad example because PayPal was a pretty big exit (a smaller thing before that too)
I hope Alex runs for president one day

How to build a company...next video please
Yep that's why we do this to look back and remember what were thinking?
How long did it take for the transaction? months, years? Any specific days?
Alex, can you do a video on how to approach B2B for a new service business with no clients? (and pushing my luck- for a graphics/art agency). What would be your strategy, size of companies to approach, all that good stuff.
Insane margins.
Please include timestamps
Thanks Alex 🙏 what has been one of the biggest contributors to your success so far?
this sounds too good to be true
Beard game strong 💪
Yo Alex do u ever feel like u would have been a bezos, zuck, Elon already if you didn’t sell?
At what point in your journey did you start keeping notes on your daily business happenings?
Did your nose heal
What company?
Sounds fun
Who did you sell to?
Man who was never willing to sell his company (equity) never made business big.
- some judge from Shark tank India.
Is that all? How can you live on that after taxes?
