Central Black Line, 2019

This Series of paintings titled Dancing on the Paper started in 2017 was conceived using the artist’s own body, without any electronic instrument. Analivia Cordeiro draw shapes on a delimited area-the sheet of paper. With her actions she was not seeking perfection-improbable in dynamic improvisations-but rather to reproduce the spontaneity of corporal gestures. In this work, her fingers are used as
a sort of brush guided by the circular gesticulations of her arms. In the works reproduced on the following pages, she used other members of her body, including her toes.
