What traces can be found about my grandfather in the Second World War in the Federal Archives? In this video we look at the Federal Archives' response and follow up on further traces.
Comment & Notes:
In this video I say that my grandfather's arrest by the US Army may have saved his life. This is of course a subjective view and a very complex topic. So I grew up in an apartment building with an older man who worked in Siberia for several years. Voluntarily, of course. If you want to find out more, you can read about it here.

Ich finde das Thema super spannend und versuche gerade Infos über den Einsatz meines Vaters im 2. Weltkrieg zu erhalten.

Hallo Silvia, danke für dein Feedback. Das Formular für eine Forschungsanfrage findest du auf der Seite des Bundesarchivs. In meinem Fall hat eine Antwort knapp 8 Wochen gedauert. Wenn das Material umfangreich ist, bekommst du einen USB-Stick zugestellt. Danach bekommst du eine Rechnung.
