This is consistent throughout the game too. A Security Guard named Jackson will respond in a variety of ways to Gordon equipping the Hivehand in Surface Tension, and also has unique reactions to an HECU bombing run, and his reunion with his colleague. Every scientist at the end of Lambda Core can be spoken to. A guard in Blast Pit reacts to his buddy being killed by the tentacle, and can be spoken to about it after firing the rocket. There's even a guard in On a Rail who you can bring along on the tram and will legitimately sacrifice himself to the HECU while Gordon unclamps the rocket. A lot of new sequences and dialogue were added in the most recent updates, and it really adds to the atmosphere.
This is what I like somehow in Black Mesa, they speak different lines and other manners of interaction. Rather than the just common lines, it feels like you're really interacting with them
I'm gonna die an old man wondering what was so important about that scientist he talked to. Maybe they were discussing the xen crystal? Or something else? We'll never know
@@Nova-vk5qb some people have decoded what they saying Gman is telling him why the crystal is important and why they should go full power on this one and scientist is insinsting that it can cuase a resenence casscade and it could blow the whole faclility
“Don’t worry, you can always attend the next convention.” Little did he know

I feel bad for the On A Rail guard though, since the rocket failed.
He died thinking he had made a difference. Everyone at Black Mesa that day should be so lucky.
@@sinctova iirc it did work, it's just that the floating alien baby delayed the full effects of the closure by keeping the portal open manually
"Flatters your fundament". I'll be sure to use that in the future.
"That suit really flatters your fundament"

6:46 Its about Remakes
I feel stupid for not realizing, great comment!
It's wildly ironic, now that you mention it. Though Black Mesa is a rare example of a remake done right
Not remakes, but this remake in particular.
Aw man you cut the ponytail
sellout...
Say hi to Dr.Cross for me
I cant believe he throw those things at the bathroom!😂
If he just gently put the toilet paper inside the occupied, it will Trigger a scene
The ways you can piss people off in the intro, truly something else eh?
