I did learn that you could simply dismantle the red border pattern and acquire the pattern
The ammit ar2 is the only rifle I know that can shoot threw hydra rotating shields
If you getting stuck at the quest because you just dismantled the second weapon like me, just take another red boarder weapon (no matter which one) into a strike and finish it with the gun so you will get the resonance. This will complete the quest for you.

FYI there’s a lot of missing info for returning peeps like me, from start to finish you have to begin the Witch Queen Campaign (mine was bugged so I had to buy the dlc) and finish the first mission, which will unlock the Enclave, and at the Enclave you’ll be given a quest to upgrade a Glaive. Once you complete all the steps for the glaive quest, you can go back to the enclave and pick up the quests in KackisHD’s video. I goofed a bunch of times so it took me longer than it should have, DO NOT DELETE THE GLAIVE until the quest for the Ammit AR2 begins.
Hope this helps everyone like me who struggled to figure out where to go and how to do things. :)
FYI it still works as of March 18 2023. Just finished crafting my AR2 like half an hour ago for my Solar Titan build :D
Take your time and really pay attention to what you’re spending those hard earned resources on, and for those of you who have a lot of those resources some of the quest markers may prevent you from continuing if you don’t have the inventory space to pick up cores/prisms/shards from The Relic.

i'm playing the season but regretting it.
DIM and the companion app are effectively unusuable right now. it's making inventory/bounty management utterly reliant ocne again on zoning and running arounf for 3-5 minutes at a time just to hand in and pass items into the vault/shards.

I was just doing this as part of the free week for the expansions as I hadn't played in 2 years. I just assumed this was part of the tutorial quests. :D
Crafted my Ammit AR2 with incandescent and dynamic sway, eventually recrafted into enhanced Surplus and enhanced Incandescent, gone to town on a Solar Titan with this baby ever since. Eplosions. Explosions everywhere.

As soon as i saw the perks I was all in on this last night.
didnt even expect to get this free patter for this gun, but yesterday after the update, did some grinding and the second one I got had clown cartridge and box breathing, already knew at that point this linear is gonna be one of the good ones lol
I got clown cartridge, and firing line from a random drop
But now you need to craft one for ENHANCED Clown + Firing Line

wow seeing all the previous DLC locked weapons as normal world drops is amazing, im glad bungie is slowly learning and adding more world drop weapons
I'm hoping since they aren't sunsettung anymore that we can get the old dlcs back and all of their weapons and the old seasonal weapons too
@@hereforthepizza2345 well they had sunsetting for a reason, bringing them all back would completely counteract the reason they vaulted the gear in the first place

Hey Kackis, I don't have a clip up yet, but damage test mobius quiver Void hunter, weaken grenade, melee poison, volatile rounds and get the Repulsor Brace/triple tap. I have a clip of me deleting the walker and all the adds around it on Devils lair with like 1 or 2 shots it was NASTY
The best thing bungie did was give us crafting. I really enjoy crafting a gun then spending time to level them up to get the best perks
I just randomly got both 2 Ammit AR2s and Taipans with deepsight from world drops. I ALWAYS run with them.
I find it kinda funny how I find out about something and then start seeing videos about it the next day xD
I got the seasonal linear with clown cartridge and vorpal and it’s pretty solid

u dont actually have to complete the quest to shape the taipan or ammit, just hold the red ring version in your weapon slot and it will allow you to shape the weapon before having the pattern to do it… its glitched

My second deepsight roll from the quest was Clown Cartridge + Focused Fury LMAO
Actually saddens me that they power-crept Reeds Regret out of relevancy. That used to be my favorite gun in the game. it’s the hardest linear to acquire and now is completely outclassed by all the others.
until they add stasis shields or something to take advantage of that stasis element.
I didn't see any enhanced perks for firing line. Reed's Regret is going to be fine. I got an adept firing line triple tap monday, it's not going anywhere.
I've got a Reeds with Clown Cartridge and Vorpal, I also have the new LFR and the stats are almost exactly the same, just different perks. There's a video of people doing a damage test between the two with the exact same perks and the Taipan beats Reeds damage by 1 point 😂
@@wiwmurphy most LFR are the same, except the ones that outright do more damage, some of them vary by perks and some perks are better for burst dps or sustained dps. I think reeds still shines in sustained because it has a higher mag than the new LFR. I crafted mine yesterday and even with enhanced battery and backup mag it only goes up to 6 where reeds goes to 7. 7 shots pull 3 shots out of thin air with triple tap compared to only 2 from 6 in the mag. Making reeds better technically for burst damage. Clown is another way to get higher burst damage making the new void LFR better for burst damage. Also all rifles are better paired with their own matching subclass so it’s all about putting on the right one for your current load-out or what type of damage works best for each boss.
@@humantwist-offcap9514 +5 range on enhanced. Reed's Regret is still a good weapon, but Taipan is literally handed to you. Adept does have it's advantages, but having an element like Void is going to be very useful (benefitting from any synergies with void subclass effects)

Dismantling a red box automatically gives you the pattern now! (Provided a pattern can be extracted) You lose out on extracting materials, but it’s an awesome shortcut if you don’t care

My quest glitched out, I got x2 deep sight for the linear, but only x1 for the auto rifle :( I was doing other red borders at the time and think it skipped a step somehow :(
What weapon are you using at the beginning?
When I extracted the second red deep sight AMMIT AR2 something happened where it didn't track, so now I have two extracted but lack 1 to be able to craft 😭
My RNG is above everyone else’s. I got a triple tap firing line taipan from the intro seasonal mission from a random enemy
I legit got extremely lucky on the red borders of this linear fusion rifle, and got the pattern without even doing the quest, and kept the clown cartridge/firing line one. Oh dear god that thing hurt so much, and I feel it has a pretty low charge time. It's only been like 24h since the beginning of the season, but I'm pretty confident that this weapon will be used alongside the stormchaser and the cataclysmic for end game content. And since it does not require to farm a dungeon or a raid to be able to get either a god roll or the pattern, I'm pretty sure it's gonna be the weapon to go for new lights approching end game content, which is very neat I gotta say
where does it drop from?
@@goobingtons it's a world drop, that is the main reason of it being so powerful, and it is doing pretty good as a Linear. Try and craft it with the perks triple tap and firing line, and you have an excellent weapon for DPS
